I can't really trust that review either, what with what they say about ETIAW, Major Minus and Up In Flames. I'll give the album a listen by all means, I predict I will enjoy about half of it. We'll see.

I'm a huge Colbert fan and even I have to admit that global warming section was not so good.

Saying the Colbert performance is better than the SNL one is like saying chocolate is better than AIDS. It was mainly fucking fantastic, though Thom and Ed's hair got really distracting after a while. Please, get it cut or at least washed.

It really adds to some songs, whilst in others it just feels unnecessary.

Lotus Flower has never really worked well live, but this was definitely the worst performance of the song to date. I couldn't make it past two minutes. Staircase was as awesome as can be expected though.

I recon my MX rating will be around 12 + 3/10ths out of 3.161(3)

I'm pretty sure this is legit. One thing I keep wondering. VLV had 10 tracks but some of them were double tracks, and now MX has 14 tracks but some of them are short interludes. What the hell is wrong with having an album with just 12 or so normal sized tracks?

I can't help but think I would've loved it so much more had I not heard the live version first.
