  1. It's happened to me before. I was fighting back tears the very first time.
  2. I will kill myself if they perform a Coldplay song on Glee. And not in a good way. Damon Albarn got it right when it comes to this show.
  3. No... the PRS database says that Up With The Birds is 3.30. The two songs were posted at the same time hence the confusion, but as far as I could recall a track length wasn't posted for Mylo Xyloto.
  4. No she didn't.
  5. THE ORACLE NEVER SAID MX WOULD BE A FULL SONG ON THE ALBUM. She merely confirmed that it was the short intro they've been playing at festivals. That is not to say it won't be like that on the album. And the 3.30 track time was for Up With The Birds. So whatever idea people are getting that MX is a full song with lyrics was made up all by themselves. The Oracle never suggested it was.
  6. I wish people would stop bringing this up when referring to Mylo Xyloto being a full song. The Oracle has NEVER said that it is.
  7. I'm not a huge fan really, but I do think they're underrated.
  8. Exactly! Yossarian is above the law. If anything, every thread he makes about the glorious Cold Game should be stickied at the top of the forum for everyone to see. ;)
  9. Dudes, you clearly don't know Yossarian! He is totally legit! :D
  10. This thread  I just want to know what the album sounds like.
  11. 1. Charlie Brown 2. Hurts Like Heaven 3. Moving To Mars 4. Us Against The World 5. Major Minus 6. Paradise 7. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall
  12. No Distance Left To Run is one of the all time greatest breakup songs. Up In Flames is bland boyband style pop fodder. Not a great deal of similarity there.
  13. I hate them both.
  14. 3. It's got to be my least favourite MX song so far. Perhaps the studio version will be an improvement but listening to that song at the moment is like fingernails down a blackboard. I can't stand it.
  15. I've been trying to get into it but I find myself enjoying it less every time I give it a listen. :\ Of the 8 songs we've heard I've enjoyed 4 so MX could swing either way at this point.
  16. I don't want to be the one to break the trend here but I'm not enjoying this track at all. For me it fits into the same category as Paradise, a boyband sounding song that would better suit an annoying female vocal. I can only imagine the album version having the life sucked out of it by overproduction. It's not an awful song but it hardly restores my faith in Mylo Xyloto. I have to say I prefer Paradise, honestly. Still, I'll give it a few more listens and reserve judgement for the final mix of the song.
  17. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLwFvcA8eS4&feature=player_embedded]Up In Flames - Coldplay ACL Live 9/15/11 - World Debut - YouTube[/ame] A lot of people seem to like it, still too generic pop for my liking.
  18. The way I see it there are two ways they can go. 1. They continue to dumb down their music even further, making mainstream pop music in an attempt to win over the masses and stay relevant. Much like Weezer have done, for instance. I'd be surprised if it works. 2. They realize that going in a more mainstream direction isn't working for them and pull a Blur, following up their most commercial album with something much braver, darker and less radio friendly. This is what I'm hoping for, anyway.
  19. WHOA WHOA WHOA lets not go nuts here! Sure Paradise is bad but I think there's such a thing as going too over the top. Paradise isn't that bad, really. This
