Stylus Magazine's Top 100 Music Videos of All Time
The music video may hardly be in top cultural form at the moment, with both the channels previously known as Music Television and Video Hits 1st becoming bigger misnomers by the day. But even if these previously monolithic video outlets don’t seem to care too much about spreading the gospel anymore, in actuality, possibilities for video watching are arguably greater than ever. Deluxe cable channels like MTV Jams and VH-1 Classic are living up to the 24-hour-a-day music promises previously made by their parent channels, and with larger and more diverse playlists than ever before. And far more miraculously, with the advent of YouTube, video freaks finally have the capabilities to view almost any video they want, whenever they want. Music video democracy is at an all-time high. With that in mind, we here at Stylus have democratically selected our humble and largely unofficial picks for the 100 best videos ever made, and are presenting them here, fully equipped with YouTube links for your viewing pleasure. Our list spans over four decades of music videos, from Bob Dylan & D.A. Pennebacker’s arguable creation of the art form in 1965 right up to a barely month-old Hot Chip video by Garth Jennings. We’ll be unveiling 20 a day, so be sure to check back throughout the week to keep up. Relive some of your favorite music video memories, and hopefully make a few new ones as well, as we count down the greatest hits of the music video medium. http://www.stylusmagazine.com/articles/weekly_article/stylus-magazines-top-100-music-videos-of-all-time.htm check the list, it's worth and you can also watch every video on their site :)

[2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] Group stage & KO round
yeah, i think that's the point actually this whole WC thing is about people's own music tastes and not how influential the artist is... i have a fear many people vote for certain bands only because of their names the main idea of this competition was that people could listen to the artists that they don't know and only after judge them... i doubt it worked

[2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] Group stage & KO round
nah, i think i'll drop that idea with Champions League but maybe we can do a WC next year again? of course, it would be bigger and better. and i will fix the mistakes that i made this year ;)

more Sufjan love please  one week and The Avalanche is in the stores :cheesy: however, i'm a bit disappointed because Sufjan won't come to Switzerland during his EU tour :(- The Razorlight & I Am Arrows thread
post removed wrong toipic- Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro Split
it means Carmen is free at the moment :wink3:- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] 1/4 finals - The Beatles vs Pink Floyd
as far as i can see Beatles are leading in this one...so i vote for Pink Floyd, although i really like The Beatles- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] 1/4 finals - Oasis vs U2
not a fan of these 2 neither, but i respect and really like some of the 80s U2 stuff, so it's U2 for me Oasis are just overrated IMO- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] 1/4 finals - Franz Ferdinand vs Muse

i don't know what to do neither yet lol that's why some fresh ideas would be nice however, that would be a huge project for sure the question is: would people vote and do stuff like that? this WC is quite succesful imo, matches in KO round usually get around 40-50 votes what isn't too bad, though the qualifications and the beginning of the group stage was a bit hard and slow- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] Group stage & KO round
i'd need some help i guess. however any ideas are welcome, post them here i'm thinking about something, although nothing is sure at the moment, and let's say we have time to think till the end of August. the qualifications would start then me think :uhoh: EDIT: and i still think it's better to do not put Coldplay, considering the biggest part of people and their music tastes here- [2006 Coldplaying World Of Music World Cup] Group stage & KO round
should we make a Champions League, guys? :wink3: with more artists and more exciting matches? let's say 2006-2007 :smug: though that would be a mega-project which would take 7-8 months, and not only 1 as this WC did :o- Don't disband, go it alone
yes, a good find i have to say though i disagree about the Coldplay part, i can't see any of CP members going solo AT THE MOMENT. they need to renew but in a different way- Radiohead
god, this whole "Creep" story started to remind me of the Pablo Honey era  EDIT: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FEjd6R_pImk&search=radiohead%20anyone%20can%20play%20guitar http://youtube.com/watch?v=kBBUaBLJ0HA&search=radiohead%20anyone%20can%20play%20guitar watch these 2 performances of Anyone Can Play Guitar and you'll undertstand my sickness lol- Radiohead
