I agree, but I think part of it was to make up for the dates they missed earlier. :/ This is the problem with liking a band that is popular all over the world - they have to cater to all their fans.

I think it's because he can't be categorised. He's not one type of music so it kind of freaks people out. Plus he's cheesy so some people are embarassed to like him.... I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have seen him live twice and it's sooooooooooo great! :D
