  1. I don't think you can watch it live as it airs online, but I guess it will be available on http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer after the show has aired (is this available outside the UK?) Either way, Im sure a few people will record it and upload it pretty soon :)
  2. Oh yeah, and what was the deal with, "Explain your comments at the Brits - why are you back so soon, don't you think you should have taken more time off"???!!! Absolute bulls**t - if I was Chris I'd have been confused to say the least.
  3. The interviewer was clearly trying to get Chris to say "we are morbid", it's so obvious. That = bad interviewer with no integrity in my opinion.
  4. I posted over on the "un-official" forum to ask Debs if he's ok. Maybe I'm over-reacting, but that was very awkward to listen to. I hope all the Andy Gill-esque criticism hasn't piled up and got to Chris.
  5. Yeah the press are going to love this. I've changed my mind now, I kind of wish he hadn't walked out. Ahh. That was pre-recorded for sure, who knows what they edited out.
  6. A bit gutted- I went to HMV at about 9am and I was the only one at the Coldplay section lol. Wouldn't have made a great YouTube video I'm afraid folks :P
  7. F**king hell, I forgot about the melons thing, saying he was making sexist jokes - WTF?! I absolutely admire Chris for walking out and asnwering that last question the way he did. Not because I'm a fanboy and I think the sun shines out his arse - that interviewer was just weird. Bloody hell.
  8. I think he was pissed off at the "very morbid" remark and probably thought "here we go again, Coldplay = boring". Which pissed me off too a bit. I know some might say "he should be professional and answer questions politely" etc, but that guy seemed to totally miss the point of what the album's about. Or maybe he didn't, I don't know, I'm still confused :( I hope Chris is ok. I'm surprised this site hasn't crashed with people posting "OMG!!!" - everyone must still be in shock or something :P
  9. He came back, answered one more question about, I can't even remember, and he just answered "Yes, yes, yes, yes". That was the end of it then.
  10. Uh oh, Chris didn't seem too happy :( The interviewer did seem as if he was being a bit of a k**b, or was he? I don't know - I'm quite confused!
  11. Hehe, I'll take my camera and report back with any suspicious findings! I'm so happy Will is going to be in today having missed the last few radio slots looking after the babies. I love Will :D
  12. Hehe, not quite, the Liverpool International Tournament :D Goran Ivanisevic is playing, Pat Cash, Olga Savcuk, Ashley Harkleroad (posed nude for PlayBoy magazine!), really good tournament and is getting bigger and better each year. Ohh, and Martina Hingis has come this year too!
  13. I am going to be out watching tennis so someone please record Chris and Will!!!!!!!
  14. RARRRRRRRR, I've got it in my hands, the gatefold edition!!! I don't know what to do, I want to hear it, but I'm so nervous, I love this excited feeling I've got, ahhh I'm all giddy!
  15. Anybody that fancies filming themselves in the store buying the CD, then that would be really cool :P I wonder if everywhere will be really busy with people buying it? I'd be a bit gutted if I was the only one there - I'm hoping for some buzz and excitement.
  16. HMV for me. Hopefully they'll have a "Buy Viva, get another CD half-price" or something like that :P
  17. clockpolitiks: I meant to say in my post - great argument. You managed to articulate a lot of feelings that have been on my mind for a while.
  18. I love that expression :) I'm with you on the goosebumps front too - very surreal feeling, and what makes music so ridiculously amazing, especially Coldplay!
  19. The day has come! I'm going to miss this thread, and all the waiting and nervous excitement and anticipation! I can't even sleep - I might just stay awake until it's time for me to go to HMV for it.
  20. Album 3 is pencilled in for 3rd November 2008.
  21. Yeah I heard Viva on ITV as well, I got so excited :D "oh oh ohhhh oh ohhhh"...
  22. Tim Walker you legend. For every critic that writes Andy Gill-esque tosh, there are people like Tim. Notice how Tim's was straight and to the point, hardly used any fancy words or comparisons or anything like, while Gill tries far too hard to get his point across. Who does he think he is, Tolkien?
  23. Viva La Vida and Violet Hill are available on http://www.musicnotes.com http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0065480 http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0065416 I'm sure a book will be released soon, or at least digital versions will be made available online.
  24. Right, I'm really f**king confused. I personally love Chris's biblical imagery: "I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing, Roman cavalry choirs are singing". "Priests clutched onto bibles, hollowed out to fit their rifles, and the cross was held aloft". I came acros someone else's thoughts from another board who said when asked what makes a good lyric: "Not referring to biblical things for the sake of it in the hope of coming across as a bit abstract". So are these good lyrics or not? Does it prove that everything, down to lyrics, melody, chord patterns, and songs in general are all a matter of opinion?
