  2. Making music videos: Jonny: "Generally I haven't enjoyed (making) that many videos" Chris: "Well not to be a k**bhead Jon, but you haven't been in that many" Talking about the French Revolutionary outfits: Guy: "It's interesting, everyone thinks that they're (the new clothes) French. Why do people think that they're French?" Jonny: "There's a French flag on the cover. And it's a French painting. And it's of the French Revolution". Guy: "Ah, that'll be why then". Great interview :P
  3. F**king hell, another "gay dancing" comment. I stopped reading after that bit.
  4. Didn't Chris say something, jokingly, the other day about concerts where "the crowd generates all the electricity by jumping up and down and having fun - in which case our concerts would totally black out" :P
  5. Before the video for The Hardest Part was first broadcast, they said on coldplay.com to expect some interesting dance routines - that got me thinking that CJGW themselves had actually put together some jazzy group choreography! Ahh, if only.
  6. I love it too, and it's incredible live. Even though it has a big drumbeat and handclaps etc, it's not TOO obvious and in your face, there's something subtle about it. Great song, and amazing melody as always from Chris. The melodies on Viva are ridiculously great.
  7. Who was that gorgeous girl the camera kept focussing on in the front row. Are you on this forum?!
  8. Carry on discussion here if you want. I'm not being an arse, just letting you know incase anyone missed it that there's some lovely comments about Will here too :D http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46301
  9. Don't be silly.
  10. Lost! live kicks serious ass/arse, however you pronounce it. Guy with the big drum, and Will playing on his tom with that sexy beat played over the top. Excellent!
  11. To me it's just so incredibly uplifting and inspiring. The story to me is basically that even if bad things happen, such as death, losing people you love, life isn't so bad after all and that things will turn out ok. As cheesy as that sounds, that's the impression I get. This album makes me feel so good and happy, and brings a huge smile to my face, and it pretty much makes me thankful to be alive. The title says it all - long live life.
  12. Wow Lost! I hope they play it on BBC tonight. I'd love to see that.
  13. I agree 100%. Whenever I'm asked what my favourite track is, I really cannot. I can't even listen to songs separately, I have to listen to the whole album all the way through. It definitely tells a story from beginning to end and it's impossible to pick one track that stands out, as they are all so different.
  14. Anyone that was there, what song does Guy play the timpani drum in (or whatever that huge thang is?!)
  15. Was that supposed to be Clocks in the background :P
  16. Awwwwwwwwwww @ Apple's painting!!! That's so cute :D
  17. Ahh thanks, there's a podcast with the interview too. Downloading this second! EDIT: Just listened. Aww Chris is so lovely :P

  19. Johnny Rotten leaves Duffy in tears June 18th, 2008 - 5:12 pm ICT by ANI London, June 18 (ANI): Legendary singer Johnny Rotten Lydon launched a volley of ear-splitting abuse at rising singer-songwriter Duffy at the recent Mojo music awards. The former Sex Pistol frontman was speaking to reporters backstage when the Welsh singer approached him from behind to give him a hug, reports the Daily Express. The Sex Pistols frontman was said to have then flown into a rage, whipping round to face the 23-year-old and snarling, “You never, ever do that to me.” Holding back tears, Duffy, who scooped the song of the year award with Mercy, fled from the scene, while Lydon, 52, declared to journalists the scene was like a “bad advert for binge drinking”. One of the insiders of the awards, who witnessed the clash at London venue The Brewery, said: Duffy came walking through the double doors into the room where all the photographs of the winners were being taken. At that time Lydon had his back to her. But as she walked past he swung his arm around before he pinned her against the wall. She giggled a bit at first, thinking he was having a laugh, but then realised he was serious. He was saying some nasty things to her and her publicist had to step in. Then a bit later, when the artists were being got together for the final big picture, she had to be kept away from some of the shots because she was so upset. http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/world-news/johnny-rotten-leaves-duffy-in-tears_10061564.html
  20. Sorry to drag this up, but incase anyone is still worried about this whole incident, like me!, Debs has replied on the 'un-official' forum and said that Chris is fine and not to worry :)

  22. It was interesting to hear Chris say to Zane Lowe that Will had to improve. In Cemeteries Of London, are those brushes that Will is using? There seems to be a constant rhythm on the snare with a few accented notes every now and again. Lost! is the most amazing beat ever. There seems to be a sort of bhangra style percussion underneath the main beat too, which sounds incredible - does anyone know much about Indian percussion to clarify that? I love the little rolls on the hi-hats in 42. I also love Chinese Sleep Chant - I love Will's creativity, but I also love his more straightforward beats, there's something reassuring about them, like he's holding it all together.

  24. How do you know what Postcards From Far Away sounds like? Have you heard it? EDIT: Sorry, just seen the post about the widget section and the wallpaper etc. Ignore me.
