  1. wow that is brilliant! I saw him perform last year and he was great. I think he's a friend of Jonny's as he and his girlfriend - pregnant at the time - were there and they went back stage afterwards. Albert's first album was better than his second. The first one was really good.
  2. I think 90 minutes is pretty standard for a concert. It's not ridiculously short and it's not extremely long. I have seen one of the recent shows and I didn't feel short changed at all. Chris is a really energetic front man, singing but also jumping around. He goes from each side of the stage, dancing and mucking around the other boys the whole way through. Personally, I'd rather have 90 minutes of high energy and fun than have him seated or standing on the spot most of the way through so he can play a few extra songs. I think people underestimate how difficult it is to maintain that level of energy and sing night after night. In order to play a much longer set I think he's have to cut back on his physical presence on stage, and to me that would be more of a disappointment. Also Boston was one of an unusual three in a row (usually they only do two nights on, one night off). Plus apparently Chris hasn't been so well recently so maybe that is why that one was unusually short...
  3. Oh those teeny tiny feet!
  4. Tired and happy - sounds like fatherhood to me! His baby is on tour with him so he's probably tired from both gigs and his little girl  In the interview he said that having their families with them made a huge difference. I bet that's why he's happy. If he was away from his baby he'd probably be miserable .
  5. I think it's a mini video camera, rather than a photo camera. It looks like this newish thing called a 'Flip' Video.
  6. Hell I'd be bragging my a*se off if I had a night like yours
  7. OMG - no kidding that IS amazing! I can't think of much better than your night - not only to get a VIP pass to the concert but to hang out at a party with the boys... most people on this board would give anything for that! I would!!!!!! I saw the picture of your pass - it's really cool. I haven't seen anyone with one of those before. And Chris catching your eye and smiling :stunned: - you sooo should have gone up and said hello - although I think I would have been too shy as well... I'm glad Chloe was nice. Jonny deserves someone lovely (he's my favourite!!!) ;) And the fact that their baby looks like Jonny... just too effing cute! :baby::heart: Oh and your picture is great - you're really pretty! :)
  8. Probably Jonny - he always seems happy and chilled out, which is a nice way to be! Plus he's damn fine looking! :wink3:
  9. Hello everyone?! Apple is FOUR years old! Why the hell is it wrong for a 4 year old not to wear clothes? I can't believe people think it's weird and not right for a tiny child to run around nude... I think it's weird that people find a naked child so offensive. It's the most natural thing - she's totally innocent and she shouldn't be made to feel ashamed of her body. Geez, lighten up... it's not like she has anything to hide... As for the paps being around to photograph it. It's not Apple's nakedness that is weird. It is the fact that strangers are allowed to snap pictures of little kids on holiday and sell them. That's what's wrong.
  10. Jonny used to smoke (as in the 2003 DVD) but he said in an interview a few years ago that he had quit. What a good boy! :D I imagine he still has a beer or two though! ;) Although they are all dads now so I'm guessing they probably don't drink as much as they used to. You can't be wasted all the time and out all night when you have a baby around. I don't think their wives would put up with that! :laugh3:
  11. Of course he has changed - he's ten years older. But at the same time, I'm not sure that he really has radically changed hi personality. He's always been a old mix of manic over confidence along with bouts of total paranoia. I think the main reason he appears to have changed is actually a result of the media. What has been written about Chris, and how he has been portrayed in the media, makes it seem like he is a very different person. But everyone should remember that the media are very selective on what they write about and quite often it is either not true or exaggerated. So often you read an article based on one quote from a long interview - a single sentence - totally taken out of context. I think people underestimate how much influence the media has on people's perception of celebrities. The media can completely turn people against a person, just by how they write about them. Gwyneth is a perfect example - she says she likes yoga and she's suddenly boring. One misquote about her fellow Americans and she's been vilified by the whole of America. As for lightening up about the paps and the media. In an ideal world I think it would be great for him to be carefree about it. But in reality, he gets it all day, everyday. People need to imagine what it would be like to be chased - literally - every time you leave your house, even when you are with your babies. Then ask if you could really 'lighten up' about it. It's easy to say, but I imagine it's not so easy for the people who have to live with it day in.
  12. It sounds crazy, but then again the fact that this made it into the papers and that some of the parents were talking to the press about it just goes to show that they really can't get privacy anywhere. They can't even stand together at their child's school event without someone blabbing to the press. That is why they get so crazy and irrational about it - you can't really blame them. They probably wanted the day to be about Apple and the kids, not a celeb photo opportunity
  13. The free gigs they did were much smaller venues. The one in London was only about 5,000. And because they were freebies they probably didn't go all out and use the expensive lights, lasers and backdrops. I bet when they start the big arena tours they will be a lot more to them. They have these 'magic balls' that they keep talking about which they haven't used at the free shows. Maybe they are saving the best for the proper tour - build up to the big stuff!
  14. At least he's enthusiastic! ;) Sometimes I think he can't win - he's criticized for his dancing but if he stopped and just sat at the piano I bet everyone would complain that the show was boring. I like the fact he's enjoying himself. And his ability to bend in every direction still amazes me! :laugh3:
  15. WOW! How great is that! The boys must be so pleased!!! :)
  16. Will's been brilliant - not just the drumming (which is the bet yet) but also the singing. He's been doing great backing vocals on almost every new track. I love the fact that all the boys are singing a bit more this time.
  17. Well, I just can't agree... just because gossip sites post pictures of people's homes doesn't make it right to post them here. Nor does the fact that people could find the information elsewhere - that's not the point. The point is that posting pictures of anyone's private home is a real invasion of privacy that no one deserves. All I ask is that the people think about how Chris would feel about having these pictures posted. His very small children have to come and go everyday from their home and I can't imagine anything worse than having people snapping pictures and hanging around outside. It is just scary. I'd be upset if someone posted my house on the internet and I'm not famous! It's the kind of thing that REALLY upsets Chris and I though we were supposed to be his fans...
  18. You are entitled to your opinion Scott, but perhaps you should find a less offensive way to describe the way Chris dances...
  19. Sorry Hotplay007 - my mistake :) Whoever took them, please don't post the ones of Chris' house... :(
  20. That's great news - congrats to them! Coldplay are definitely back! :-)
  21. Okay - no offence to you Hotplay007 but posting pictures of Chris' house on the internet is WAY out of line and really creepy :( The Bakery is one thing, but his family home is another. I really urge you to respect him and his family's privacy and to delete those pictures, or at least not to share them. Think about his little kids. It is their HOME and they deserve not to harassed by strangers. I know you wouldn't intend on encouraging people to go to his home, but by posting pictures of it you open it up to anyone, not just fans, to go and bother them, or worse. If you really care about the band then you would respect how much Chris needs and protects his privacy and how upset he would be to know pictures of his home were being posted by his supposed fans. If you post them then I hope at least the moderators will have the sense to immediately remove them. Posting pictures of their homes is a step too far, however good your intentions are... PLEASE DON'T POST THEM!
  22. The BBC news site says she was. Daily Mail would probably prefer to report she wasn't as it makes a jucier story, fueling speculation they are on the verge of divorce (yawn). From what I've read she was there.
  23. Haha - I was just on yahoo and there was a clip of John Lydon ranting and raving about everything, insulting all new bands and all music but his own and insulting the interviewers at the Mojo awards red carpet... I would say he's entitled to his own opinion about Coldplay, but after that rant he's clearly just nuts and hates everyone!! :laugh3:
  24. I'm in. Waiting for my pre-order to arrive! :)
  25. I feel the same  It's crazy after wanting it for so long but I'm not going to download it - I'm going to wait for my preordered copy... I really hoped it would make it to the 12th without being ripped off by someone giving it away for free online. It means someone the boys trusted with a copy went and downloaded it or passed it on to someone to do it. Having it leak takes away from the excitement of the release date. The boys will be disappointed that it leaked... all that hard work they put into it and building all the hype and someone rips it off online :(
