Articles like that are just so poor - there's nothing new whatsoever in that 'news' article - it just lists every tabloid gossip tale for the past year and strings them together to make a pointless story. 90% of that article is just based on silly rumours. It's just boring! :sleeping: I guess real news and journalism is a bit out of the Daily Mail's reach!

I don't know, maybe I'm the only one, but I thought the boys were giving away quite a lot about the new album: the letters from 'prospekt' about how the recording is going, the possible song titles... what more do you want?! Anymore and they'll be giving us the lyrics! As much as updates are good, they probably don't want to give away too much information about the tracks or it will all be old news by the time the album is released. They have to build up the tension slowly or they won't get all the hype around the release date. As for when it is being released, if they are still working on it they probably don't even know themselves. Also with all the EMI joblosses they probably haven't committed to a date yet. We just have to be patient! ;) The new website, with the little updates, is more fun than the old one!

Well, I'm not a crazed chris martin groupie (more of a Jonny girl myself) but I understand completely how, in those circumstances, that kind of sly insensitive comment is more upsetting that if the guy had shouted abuse directly at Chris. I think to understand why Chris might had been upset at the 'congratulations' comment you have to put yourself in his shoes. For all the guy knew Gwyneth may have been seriously ill or even lost a baby. Imagine if you or your partner (don't know if you are a girl or boy) had lost a baby, or just found out some really bad news about your health, or even just had a terrible health scare, the last thing you would want is someone baiting you with insensitive comments. And that is what the guy was doing - he was baiting Chris for a comment or reaction in the hope of finding out what was wrong with Gwyneth, so he could sell the story to the papers. The guy wasn't actually giving his congratulations - he had no idea why she was there - so it wasn't remotely sincere. His comment was motivated by money and it is that motive that makes his comment upsetting. Not the words itself. It boils down to one person trying to profit from another person's misfortune. You wouldn't make that kind of comment to a friend, or even a stranger, if they had just been rushed to hospital for an unknown reason. You would, hopefully, be more sensitive. I'm not saying Chris should have reacted that way. It would have been better if he hadn't. But I think people here are just saying that they can understand why he did and can empathise with the way he must have been feeling at the time.

'Bucklandrules' seems to know everything about Mr Buckland - he or she knew baby Violet's name before anyone else... I wonder how they know him!? :thinking:

I doubt they can just up and leave the label - otherwise I'm pretty sure they would have done already. They would have a contract with EMI to release a set number of albums and that means anything they write and release is under contract. They can't release it themselves as EMI would have rights over it. The only way to not give EMI the album is probably to never release anything again... and we don't want that! :( The best hope is that they aren't contracted to do may more albums so they can get away from EMI soon! However, I don't think for a second that they will agree to any corporate sponsorship. They've flatly refused to do anything like that for ten years (forgoing loads of money) so I don't think they'd turn around and do it for the record company now. No way! :angry: Record companies don't have anything to do with touring so they can't force them to have any corporate sponsorship at their concerts - thank goodness!

He's probably quite protective of her. You always try to teach kids not to speak to strangers but it's probably worse for Chris & Gwyneth - he is probably worried that she will talk to someone who will then go and sell their story (which they did!) He probably feel like she's being exploited for being a sweet little girl. It's pretty miserable that a little girl can't chat to a shop assistant without someone passing it on as tabloid gossip. It would make me annoyed too! :\

Haha - the quote about parties in the trailers is obviously such a load of bull. Like chris brings his babies there everyday so he can chain smoke and have a party with the camera man...sounds a little like cr*p to me! One minute he's reported to constantly be away in the UK doing the album, next minute he's spent all summer in the US puffing away in a trailer with his children! :laugh3: You could almost believe it if they didn't throw in such stupid details like that!

I think all the others are quiet happy not to be in the spotlight and do all they can not to, which is not hard given Chris is frontman and married to celeb etc. I remember one of them - Guy I think - saying ages ago how they did feel bad that Chris shoulders all the heat from the paps/press etc but they no longer felt any envy towards his level of fame after seeing how horrible it could be for Chris and his family. Chris is always going on about how great the other boys are (esp. Jonny! ;) ) and how important they are, so I don't think you could say he was egotistical. He's never suggested the band centres around him or that he is the only creative force behind it. He's just the hyperactive one who does well in interviews! :laugh3:

That comes from an old article ( pre-break up) from Livingetc magazine. They did a feature on their house ages ago. It is the same quotations, word for word. They seem to have stolen them from the magazine article! It's totally bizarre. Why would they publish that knowing that they broke up. Didn't the Daily Mail publish the break up first? The break up must have happened, as I remember Guy's representatives releasing an official statement confirming that they had split amicably... And the shop has definately closed. I saw it months ago and all the signage was gone and it was empty. The article is just weird, and a bit cruel. Poor Guy :(

Any tickets up for sale at the moment would be old or not legit as they haven't announced any tour dates yet. So I'd wait until they offically do, then do some research into who the sellers are. I'd also be careful you know exactly what being offered before buying expensive packages - especially ones that talk about backstage passes and aftershow parties. They make it sound like they guarantee meeting the boys, access to the dressing rooms and all that, but I really really doubt they would be. Even the organised meet and greet's don't even get that kind of access. And sometimes the boys don't even attend the 'aftershow parties'. It would be horrible for anyone to have their expectations raised too much and feel ripped off... :(

I hate the way the Daily Mail report things - they claim they haven't been out together for months but that actually means that they haven't been to a media event together (which they hardly ever ever do) and haven't been photographed together by press and paps. Doesn't mean they aren't together... it's just creative writing to make a salacious story... Chris probably isn't remotely interested in the Fashion Rocks party - or had other things to do (like an album! ;)) - doesn't mean divorce! The facts are that now she's finished her work commitments she's come home to London, which says to me she's choosing to be with her family. Damn they must be sick of all this gossip! :sleeping2: Or maybe now it just makes them laugh at how stupid it all is...

Mmmmm, sounds like he's either out for a bit of cash or, more likely, a bit of publicity. He knows if he makes that kind of statement it will get in the press... What I think is odd is that if he really thought the boys had plagarised his song then why wait for YEARS to get upset by it? What made him wake up randomly one morning and decide they ripped him off?! :confused: It's not like the song wasn't huge and played everywhere - they've been touring it for at least five years - so I'm sorry but I really doubt he only just heard it for the first time! I haven't heard this guy's song but there is a BIG difference between plagarism and sounding a little bit like another song...

Come one people - this is a photoshoot! What did you expect - to see Chris' underpants lying on the floor, Gwyneth posing in her PJ's and the garbage cans overflowing? The point is to see the design of the house and accessories, not the personal items of the people living in it. And of course Gwyneth is dressed up - I would too if I was going to be in a posh magazine (unlikely given the house I live in!! :P) Most architectural and interior magazines shoot like this - it's not necessarily supposed to represent everyday life in the Martin household!

I don't see any of Chris or the kids in the pictures so I don't think they can be accused of putting their family in the limelight for any gain. I'd have been really surprised if it was a photoshoot of the family at home together, but my guess is Gwyneth is starting up her career again after a long break and she needs this type of positive publicity. It seems to be very much about her and her style choices (I can't quite see Chris having much involvement! :P ) It's not like she's gone to some tabloid - it is a reputable interiors magazine with a very select market. I don't think that her choice to do this kind of article, for whatever reason, automatically gives people the right to take unlimited photos of the whole family e.g. Chris on the way to a funeral, their kids, or to harrass them in any way. Pap pictures are a totally different ball game. She looks great, anyway, and the house is lovely.

I think it's really awful that this type of article gets published. It doesn't really matter whether it was a pap or a regular person took these pictures of him in these circumstances - both are totally inapproriate and either should have known better. The poor guy was asleep, for goodness sake! People really don't have any limits to what they will do to pocket some money and it is really horrible. There is no excuse. I bet Chris IS pissed off that these pictures are in the papers. That day was about his uncle, not him, Gwyneth and the grubby celeb-hunters. Damn people suck! :angry: Now can people understand why Chris sometimes reacts in funny moods with fans and paps who come up to him? This is exactly why... :(
