Pearl Jam
Ahh well, after listening to all their albums, I'd say that while Ten is their best, Binaural would be my favorite, everyone usually hates that one, but I dunno, I really think it's very under-appreciated. It's by far their most focused and fascinating cd. And like the artwork perfectly describes the music, and how spacey it is. Light Years and Parting Ways are two of Pearl Jam's best songs.

Pearl Jam
I KNOW EH!?? First time I opened up the cd package and took out the cd to put into my walkman, and looked at the artwork I was like...."what the hell?" I still haven't figured out the significance of the Avacado on the cover. haha. I like the artwork for Binaural best. And I also like the cd best too

Pearl Jam
haha thanks! The best part was when Eddie was just on his guitar after playing Love Boat Captain, and then he starts playing A Sort Of Homecoming and singing. And that's my favorite U2 song, so my mind was blown. Seeing them in November eh? That concert is gonna be awesome, trust me. Make sure to pick up a tour shirt too, with the Avacado on it. hahha. Pearl Jam song of the day?....... Brain of J!

Pearl Jam
I think the audience's roar drowned out the band here.

Pearl Jam
Oh man, thank God the Pearl Jam threads are back on top! Pearl Jam have been my favorite band for a long long time. I've seen them twice now. The tour opener on May 9th was the best I've been to out of the two. Although the other time was insane back in September, because Eddie brought out Bono to do vocals with him on Rockin' In The Free World. And when I saw U2 two days earlier, Bono brought out Eddie Vedder to do vocals with him for Old Man River. I'd say besides meeting Chris Cornell, that's gotta be my biggest rock'n'roll moment. My favorite album by them is Binaural, Yield is the least favorite.

Hollywoodland 8/10 Ben Affleck deserves at least a nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and Adrian Brody for Best Actor. Awesome movie.

Trust The Man 6/10 It was really really fun watching Mulder in a romantic comedy. As an X-Files nerd, David Duchovny will always be seen as Mulder in my eyes.

Chris Cornell
aw. He's a really cool guy in person. It's weird how all the celebrities that are made to be larger than life by the media are just regular people in person. I got the same feeling when I met Coldplay a while back too. It's good to know these people aren't just an image.

Chris Cornell
Alright Soundgarden/Audioslave/Solo Chris Cornell fans! Unite! haha I'm looking forward to the new Audioslave cd Revelations, the stuff on the Miami Vice soundtrack was pretty damn good. Chris came by MuchMusic yesterday and me and my band memebers were doing product placement for Soundgarden in the background. We were holding up the cd booklets in as casual a way as possible. When he was heading out he actually came over and signed our cd booklets, it was awesome, and then I shook his hand and said good job Chris. The dude is fucking tall man, and not the kinda person you wanna get on the bad side of. haha.

The I Can't Believe There's Not A Thread About Snakes On A Plane Thread
I actually really really liked this movie. I thought it was fuckin hilarious. ANd I love the irony of it, I mean it's a satire on summer blockbuster movies while being one itself. Sort of like Scream for slasher movies.

My Morning Jacket.
I haven't bought this album yet but I heard it was awesome. I saw these guys live opening for Pearl Jam, they rock really hard.

The greatest song in the history of the world. Maybe
Live Forever is most certainly not the best song of all time, and Wonderwall in 2nd? Smells Like Teen Spirit in 3rd? Give me a break..... The list is nothing but singles, and that's kind of an insult to these bands, considering the best tracks by any band are usually the ones not on the radio. Is Hurt really Johnny Cash's best song, not even his own? What about Folsom Prison Blues? Smells Like Teen Spirit is definitely not Nirvana's finest moment. Any Nirvana fan would sigh and shake their head at that idea. Stairway To Heaven is a good song, but most certainly not a top ten. And as a massive fan of the Verve, I'd say that Bittersweet Symphony is my least favorite song of theirs, it's such a shame to see the Verve's incredible and innovative music distilled to their most accesible song, when they were never about accesibility at all.

Half Life 2
haha, don worry. Yeah, I really hope the game works on my laptop, my bro's laptop would overheat and automatically turn off after half an hour every time he played it. So I'm just hoping I'm not wasting my hard earned money here.

Half Life 2
I'm thinking of buying the game, but I've heard a lot of nasty things about Steam and the instillation. I know that Steam is designed with the intention of stopping piracy, and I do think that piracy is kind of pathetic, but the Steam safeguard seems to be too much of a hassle. I've read that it is possible to play Half Life 2 without having to log on through Steam, I'm just wondering if this is true or not. And also I hear that this game demands insane requirements to be played, and I have 1.8 GHZ, and 448 MB RAM, not sure about my video card though, what specs are you guys playing it at? And how does it perform?

Has Hollywood lost 'its thread'?
If you'll notice there has always been a lack of creativity in Hollywood. It's always been about cashing in and it always will be. No one puts millions of dollars into a movie unless it's guaranteed to bring in the big bucks. It ain't pretty but there's no other way a movie like Pirates Of The Carribean or The Da Vinci Code could be made. Hollywood is run on familiarity. The good movies are the ones that aren't made without the filmmakers giving a crap about profit, and doing what they want. Yet ironically, these movies get trashed because there is usually too much talking, or because it's smart and demands attention.

Superman Returns. But he needn't have bothered
Well, it seemed like Synger had the same problem that Peter Jackson had with Hong Kong. It seemed like they grew up obsessing over King Kong or Superman, and now when they get the chance to do the remakes, they go really overboard trying to make the movie epic and everything. And yea, there are the Jesus comparisons too..... give me a break Synger! Pirates 2 was really bloated though, so the movie felt much longer than it was.

What is the Best Blur Album
As much as I loved The Great Escape, I'm going to have to say Blur by Blur. Such a trippy cd.

Miami Vice
Saw this opening weekend. I thought it was pretty awesome. I wanna watch it again soon. A lot of people hated it for reasons unknown though. What did you think?
-
Clerks 2
Eh, Clerks II wasn't that bad. I'd give it three stars out of five. It gets really really cheesy by the end though. It's one of those movies you just watch once and then you're done with it, and sometimes the humor is a little too over the top. Jay and Silent Bob were the best part. Smith telling Generation X to grow up? I'm not gonna give any spoilers but I don't think it ties in here.
