Soundgarden!
eh, thought I'd stop by the old stompin grounds.

Stone Temple Pilots
Nobody ever gave Scott Weiland and co. respect, sure they rode on Pearl Jam's success...in the beginning, but after, they were pretty cool....for a while. Purpe, and Tiny Music From The Vatican Gift Shop are great cds, with very psychedelic and rocking moments. Currently, I think "Big Bang Baby" is my fave tune from them, and "Pretty Penny".

Nine Inch Nails
haha, yea, for sure man, like to me, With Teeth sounds all too familiar. The Fagile kindof let me down too. I mean only the most patient person would be able to sit through the whole thing.

Nine Inch Nails
It's okay, but after six years, I expected something more.

Soundgarden!
Soundgarden These guys are the truest grunge band of the 90s, and they are so understated. When everybody thinks back to Soundgarden, all they remember is Black Hole Sun and to a lesser extent, Pretty Noose, but these guys had some of the best music of Seattle music scene, and in my opinion Superunknown is the best grunge album of the era. Also, Chris Cornell has such a good voice, I heard a quote that when something a long the lines of "Cornell's voice can peal the paint off walls." Any other big fans here?

OASIS - album poll
Where's Be Here Now! I'd vote for that. It's the hardest rocking Oasis cd of all, and most epic.

ELECTRIC LADYLAND!
These guys from my school did a cover of Purple Haze at the Variety Show and it was awesome. The guitarist was even doing the solo with his teeth. After hearing Purple Haze for the first time, and live the first time too, I downloaded it, and that's how I got here! Electric Ladyland is the most tripped out cd I have ever heard. I'm sorry Radiohead fans, but Kid A has nothing on this. One need only hear "1983..." and "And The Gods Made Love" to agree. If Hendrix was on acid, as rumors suggest, then this is Hendrix taking us along through one of his bad trips. This is an essential album, and is Hendrix's best. It's just a small fraction better than Are You Experienced? And it's Hendrix's masterpiece.

Homecoming is my fave song on the new cd. I learned the whole thing on guitar and I love to play it.

The Smashing Pumpkins

Your biggest 'album surprise' of 2004....
Green Day - American Idiot bombs every rock album released this year, out of the water. U2 is still good tho! The album is worth the four year wait

Half-Life 2
HAHA, self-imposed pc game ban. I'm going through that sort of too right now. My bro is freakin out about this game, I'm gonna get him it for Christmas! I heard Doom 3 wasn't that good. Like it was a good game, but nothing spectacular apparently.

Green Day - Waiting
-
Green Day
Warning is the best album, after American Idiot. This cd is so underrated, and really deserves more attention! Macy's Day Parade is the best Green Day song.
-
Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid is the best by far. But part 2 sort of really dissapointed me. I'm sorta waiting for Snake Eater. I want to try it.
-
Green Day
Yea it's a punk opera about a runaway kid. One of the best albums of the year.
-
U2
It's like All That You Can't Leave Behind, but wayy more epic and rocking.
-
U2
Go on the official site, they're streaming the new album. Miracle Drug is enough to make anybody love U2.

U2
How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb This cd is amazing. I heard it online today on the U2 site. This is an unbiased opinion. I like U2, but this album makes me love U2. The band said this would be a return to rock, and damn, they were right! The album is mid-tempo, but The Edge is back in action! There is not one song on this that I don't like. This is U2 being a pure rock band, no otherworldly atmosphere and foggy music, like on The Joshua Tree and The Unforgettable Fire, and no dance experimentation like the 90's, this is pure rock. The song that stands out most for me is Miracle Drug. The song hasn't really been talked about a lot by reviewers, but I personally think it's the most epic song on the album, perfect song to me. This isn't as good as War, Achtung Baby, or The Joshua Tree, don't listen to this expecting the next masterpiece from U2, but this is an album that in my opinion has certainly been well worth the four year wait. 4 stars out of 5.
