I gotta say, The Verve is now one of my favorite bands, too bad they are long gone. Richard Ashcroft is one hell of a leading songwriter, and Nick McCabe and the rest are virtuosos at what they do. It's very unfortunate that they only get remmebered these days by the song Bittersweet Symphony, there is so much more to them than just that one tune. A Northern Soul is my favorite from them, and I gotta say Slide Away and She's A Superstar are my favorite songs.

Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder are good buddies. Members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam got together before they became famous and made a cd under the name Temple Of The Dog, it's really good stuff. And on this one song Hunger Strike, Eddie and Chris both do vocals. It's awesome. Soundgarden are really hard to get into, but they're like a darker somewhat twisted Pearl Jam.

yea, but I don't play it enough to be good at it. If I had the time to play it more, then I'd probably be really good at it. Everyone I told to buy the album loves it man.

excellent work! Random Pearl Jam moment of the weekend. I got my buddy at work to listen to the new cd and he says it ain't bad. He was heavily against Eddie and crew before. And I just played Long Road on guitar.

All Pink Floyd's artwork is awesome. I'm actually really digging the cover to Out Of Exile by Audioslave right now, perfectly sums up the music.

Finally some love for A Norther Soul around here. I thought I was the only one.

Can't go wrong with "A Northern Soul" by The Verve. If Urban Hymns was the morning after, this is the night before. Not one bad song on the album at all, and you never get bored of it.

ahahah. Well my Pearl Jam concert virginity was broken in when Eddie Vedder came out and played Porch on an acoustic guitar and then introduced the opening act. Then when they came back on to play, they started with Release, ended with Yellow Ledbetter as always, and Rockin In The Free World with Bono. Yea, City Of Blinding Lights live is mind-blowing.

Yea, supposedly you couldn't hear the band, because everyone's screaming would drown them out.

oh man, my Rock and Pop Music prof from 1st year uni had a friend who actually saw The Beatles live. I was like "ohhhh man, that's intesne." And my mom saw Rush, they were playing at her high school back when they were just a small time band.

I know it's never ever going to happen... BUT If The Verve and Soundgarden were ever to reform, I don't care where and how much it will cost me, but I'm seeing them live.

ahhaha backstreet boys, nice. Yea the beginning of City Of Blinding Lights, that song live blew my mind man. Like I think it was more mind blowing than Where The Streets Have No Name live.

The new Pearl Jam cd is awesome. Some fans think Pearl Jam are selling out and going commercial I guess. The way I see it is that if the band wants to rock out, then they should by all means do it. Life Wasted is like my theme song. haha. In fact, I'd say the new one, Binaural and Vitalogy are my three favorites of theirs.

yea eh? It was awesome. Blasting Comatose and Severed Hand at work. It made the night go by so muchhhhh more faster.

Damn right yo. Yesterday I convinced my manager to let me play the new Pearl Jam cd on the speakers at work, and we ended up selling a copy of the cd!

My cousin went to see the play and apparently it was not too good at all....
