  2. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/08092006/323/sex-toys-contain-dangerous-chemicals-says-greenpeace.html THE HAGUE (AFP) - Environmental group Greenpeace called on the European Union to ban the use of chemical plastic softeners in sex toys because they contained dangerous substances known as phthalates. "Adult sex toys contain the same toxic substances that the European Union banned from use in children's toys," Greenpeace said in a press release from its international headquarters here. The environmental group said it was shocked to find that seven of the eight sex toys it had tested contained between 24 and 51 percent of phthalates. "It is unbelievable that such toxic substances can be used in adult toys. We have tested many products in the last few years but never have we encountered such high concentrations," Greenpeace spokesman Bart van Opzeeland said. Greenpeace research has shown that phthalates can disrupt the human hormonal system, diminishes fertility and adversely affects the kidneys and liver. The substance is used to soften plastics and PVC plastic. Greenpeace stressed that a ban on phthalates would not mean the disappearance of people's favourite sex toys as there are plenty of non-toxic alternatives 10 quid to whoever can pronouce "phthalates" without laughing.
  3. It was not about oil. Geez. There is oil in lots of other countries, then there was the Un food for oil. After the narrow win in 2000 dont you think Bush wouldve wanted to wage war and gain a quick victory to boost his populartiy and chances of re-election? And besides we knew Saddam had WMD - We gave them to him! Were we satisifed he no longer had them? no.

  7. what if they dont know they're pregant? One of the points in the article was that if you did drugs and didnt realise you were pregant you could be locked up. It makes the point that women will have to presume at all times that are. I'm still waiting for reasons why the guardian - a newspaper that been round for over a hundred years (or so) is just as bad as Fox News. To be honest its stuff like this and Bush's views on Abortion and stem cell research (the one he used his veto on what was it called?) that make me want to believe the 9/11 theories.

Sir Humphrey: "Prime Minister, what about the people who read The Sun?" Bernard Woolley: "Sun readers don't care who runs the country, as long as she's got big tits."

  14. Your American comentating on an English newspaper! I hope your being sarcastic anyway make your own mind up http://www.guardian.co.uk/ http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/The+Guardian A great quote about English papers from Yes, Prime Minister * In Episode 4 of the second series of Yes, Prime Minister, Jim Hacker says: "I know exactly who reads the papers: The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country; The Guardian is read by people who think they ought to run the country; The Times is read by people who actually do run the country; The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country; The Financial Times is read by people who own the country; The Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by another country; and The Daily Telegraph is read by people who think it is." Sir Humphrey: "Prime Minister, what about the people who read The Sun?" Bernard Woolley: "Sun readers don't care who runs the country, as long as she's got big tits." 23. "US President George W Bush has said that the presence of late al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq before the war was evidence of a link." Thats like saying you like a pub because you popped in to use the bog. And if this was used a premise to war then yes it has harmed. But isnt the senate being controlled by the same people who control Bush?? How can you trust this report?
