  1. Its an MTV film, about high school drug issues, i remember watching it years ago. The song is played at the end when someone dies of an overdose.
  2. I love it and its 33 secs long, gets me all excited for whats to come after the heartache of UIF. And i got extremely giddy at the live shows when it kicked in
  3. as is often the case its the first song (shhhhh mx) Hurts Like Heaven and always has been. Honorable mentions for DLIBYH & UWTB
  4. What constitutes underrated? Amsterdam is mentioned a lot but it's one of their most loved songs and has been for 10 years?! Overated songs are easier to pick
  5. Brothers & Sisters, accidently recorded off the Steve Lamaq show, after trying to record Dave Pearce 'Dance Anthems'!!!!!!!! All on cassette. True story
  6. Simply: Politik Amsterdam easy
  7. Mine has a bit of logic to it. you can only pick in numerical order. read the opening paragraph.
  8. except its nothing like the orinigal thread
  9. The Ultimate Coldplay Album Hope this hasn't happened before After 5 albums I think we have enough choices to pick an ultimate Coldplay album. The rules are simply pick your favourite song from one of the albums with a corresponding track number. Example, pick one of - track 1. Don’t Panic, Politik, Square One, LIT or MX. There’s no need to go into the challenge of ‘intermission’ songs (M.M.I.X.), or the 2 songs for 1 number (Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love) or even storyline/flow of an album. Just pick your favourite for each number. Also seeing as Parachutes or VLVODAAHF only having 10 tracks Life is for Living and The Escapist count as track 11. I’ll start with: 1. Politik 2. Shiver 3. Spies 4. The Scientist 5. Yellow 6. Yes 7. Viva la Vida 8. A Message 9. Strawberry Swing 10. AROBTTH 11. Amsterdam 12. Twisted Logic 13. DLIBYH And if you like, pick which track number you think overall has the best songs: I’d say Track 4 with Sparks, The Scientist, Fix You, 42, Charlie Brown (although Track 1 isn’t far behind, especially if Hurts Like Heaven could be included)
  10. Give me weather that does no harm Michael Eavis and Worthy Farm Give me mud up to my knees The best festival in history (i miss Glasto)
  11. there's always a solid depression for a week or so. Then its momentary flashback depressions of certain things (the latest being touching Guy and Jon as they walked back from the C-stage and realising they didn;t know me). There's also the 'snobby' despression of never seeing them in a small room again playing old songs with about 3 lights as production
  12. Its ok. Definate Sams Town/Springsteen vibe. I just haven't been excited by them since Hot Fuss. I hope the album as a whole is good becuase they should be better then they are.
  13. i really love Octopus...... very excited for the new album. Is anyone going to the UK tour in the Autumn. I have Cambridge tickets
  14. it does fit the flow of the album well, and should be aware between ETIAF and A Hopeful Transmission by dropping one of the other tracks (most prbably UFO). Hold on a minute, UFO/Moving to Mars thats weird..... Waynes World
  15. White Shadows, (listened to the toronto gig at work)
  16. I can't believe people are saying whole albums. I'd be lucky to get through 1.36!!!!
  17. Re: Lost..... yes i've heard it live about 4/5 times, although its of course better live it just doesn't hit me like most songs. And 1st songs on albums should never be singles at all. Fact!
  18. Never disliked a song until Lost came along. The only thing i ever skip on a coldplay album.
  19. Just before they come on is How Do I Know by Here We Go Magic, followed by Jay-z 99 Problems
  20. when you spend most of the Amazing Spiderman's first hour waiting to hear Til' Kingdom Come, and eagerly bang the person next to you when you hear the first piano note, while whispering 'sell outs' in a jobial way.
  21. The Amazing Spiderman - 6/10 Was pretty good, the leads were all great, Marc Webb (500 days of Summer, a great film) can certainly do the emotional/love bits very well (Til Kingdom Come, was the best part of the film, big smile on my face when i heard that come on). Action was ok, story was ok. still no one but Avatar has mastered 3d
  22. i had a look into it the £100 tickets and more expensive ones are still avaiable. I can't imagine more then 4/5 songs really?!
