  1. Yeah hope it's gonna be successful for us... even the Romanian League overtook the Bundesliga now lol. Nice not to see Bayern Munich in the Champions League! What an unique experience!
  2. Bloc Party - The Once And Future King :nice:
  3. Hey Julia, guess this will change sooner or later, as being a student in Bonn! :P Lol long time I've posted here in your thread! :D
  4. Who the fuck is Ribéry?! Diego is the best! :D I've seen this live in the stadium yesterday! :nice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTcz7cjhjN0
  5. Ah I'm so happy! The game in Zagreb was so exciting and during the first half I thought Werder wouldn't reach the next round! Now Werder Bremen got Real Madrid, Lazio Roma and Olympiakos Piräus. We never played against all these teams before, although we have reached the Champions League four times in a row now. :) Compared to last year when we got Barcelona and Chelsea, this group isn't that bad. Can't wait to get any tickets! Unfortunately German free-tv will only broadcast Werder-Olympiacos. Scandalous!

  7. OMG, n-tv just says Puerta has died! :( R.I.P. What a tragedy!
  8. I've watched the highlights of this game including this terrible scene on tv and I was totally shocked. Another example where you can see that there are more important things in life than football. Reminded me first of Miklós Fehér who played for Benfica Lisbon and died on the pitch in 2004. :(
  9. Moin! ;)

  13. I just read that Kaiser Chiefs are playing against the traditional club of St. Pauli (2. Bundesliga) in Hamburg, directly after their concert (support band: The Cribs). Kick-off at Borgweg's hockey stadium will be at 11pm on August 27th. Admission free! The reason for this match is a good cause... They want to play for a better water supply in the Third World.
  14. Thanks to everyone! :D Steph I'm fine thank you. :) How's life going? Are you going back to London? Haven't talked to you for a while...
  15. I've watched City-United this afternoon. Lucky victory for City! But is there still one club in the Premier League which doesn't get money from an (foreign) investor?
  16. Awww cute pictures Julia and Steph! :nice: Last week I spent some days in Berlin again and that picture reminds me a bit of Bloc Party's song "Kreuzberg". :D "Saturday night... in East Berlin... we took the u-bahn... to the East Side Gallery" :D
  17. Haha, so many footy pics within the last days here, so I thought I could upload some more pictures from Figo's Allstar Game in Lisbon.
  18. dEUS - Instant Street :nice:
  19. For me Nokia has the best cell phones! The menu is so simple. I still own a Nokia 6230... it's already old, but still working so I don't want to get a new one!

Why? I will never understand why the Brits don't want to get the euro. Sure, first I was also annoyed, because the Deutsche Mark was a very powerful currency and I was afraid that life is getting more expensive. Unfortunately that exactly happened in 2002, but now I'm very relieved to have the euro. It's so comfortable... The last weeks I'm often commuting between Germany and the Netherlands and it's so great to have the same currency in both countries. The same for spending holidays in Spain. It's also easier to check the prices. I never knew that petrol is so amazingly expensive in Holland. Don't know why, but I often have the feeling that Great Britain is a bit anti-european. When I've been to London last year I wanted to buy something on my last day, but I only had euro notes in my pocket. I asked the man if I could pay with euro and he suddenly became very angry and wanted to kick me out of his little shop. What an a......!

  22. "Premiere" got back the rights for the Bundesliga and the Spanish League (because "Arena" became bankrupt after just one year lol) so now they're showing all games from the 1. and 2. Bundesliga live and simultaneously, all CL games and all UEFA-Cup games (from the quarter-final). Every weekend you might also watch the Austrian Bundesliga, English Premier League, Scottish Premier League (mostly the Rangers-Celtic games), La Liga, Serie A, French Ligue 1 and Dutch Ehredevisie. Sometimes they also broadcast games from Portugal, but I'm not quite sure. You always have the chance to listen to the English commentators besides the German one. I think it's a good offer and you get everything for 19€ (ca. 13£). Guess it's a bit more expensive in UK, isn't it? Yeah Dave, I read somewhere that West Ham were high up on the list of money spent. How did they get that amount of money to buy all these players? Do they also have a US investor? I really don't hope so... Hopefully the European Union will stop it sooner or later...
  23. Who's winning today? Stuttgart or Schalke? Can't wait for the start of the new season! :nice:
  24. I'm excited about the new season, although for me the Premier League is getting more and more boring. I don't like the fact that billionaires are able to "buy" some clubs (like Chelsea) and then to buy the best players on the world. It's ridiculous! Would be great to have a surprising team this year like eg Newcastle or Westham. ;) Anyway, do you know that German TV is broadcasting more live games every week than SkySports and Setanta Sports do?! :P This weekend: Saturday, August 11th: 13.45 h: Sunderland - Tottenham 16.00 h: Bolton - Newcastle 18.15 h: Aston Villa - Liverpool Sunday, August 12th: 13.00 h: Arsenal - Fulham 14.30 h: Chelsea - Birmingham 17.00 h: Manchester United - Reading
