I Just Found Out Something Disturbing...
i remember back when it actually happened, i was friends with a girl whose birthday was that day. and her dad was supposed to be flying home from vancouver in time to see her on her birthday (he was out there on a business trip), but obviously he ended up staying there for almost another week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAY !
yeah i don't know who may is either but you know, birthdays aren't about who may is and isn't, they're about having a good time and making people awkwardly sing to you while candles drop hot wax onto a perfectly good cake. :P so happy birthday may! :D

A QUESTION! A POLL! ANOTHER DUMB THREAD TO POST
the thread might have a point but it's not exactly what you might call "constructive criticism." :P at any rate, it only seems to encourage carla.

The Beach Boys
Brian Wilson - Smile As some of you may know, today, February 20, is a VERY important day for fans of the Beach Boys and possibly fans of rock music all around the world. For tonight, Brian Wilson unveils his long-lost unreleased masterpiece, "Smile." The album that was supposed to change the course of music history in 1967, but was abandoned because of Brian Wilson's emotional breakdowns and drug problems, is being performed live in it's entirety in London, England. Ohhhhh it sends a chill down my spine just thinking about it, but then again I'm a Beach Boys (and especially Brian Wilson) freak. :P http://www.thesmileshop.net/navpage.html Here's some more information about "Smile" in case I've piqued anybody's curiosity who doesn't already know about it. :D

COPPER!
then why are you asking us?
-
COPPER!
right, we don't know about it because we only buy the copper. the people we bought from should know, ask them. :P

Role models
my number one musical inspiration is Brian Wilson, especially in how i write and arrange my songs. as far as specific instruments, i don't really have anybdoy that i look up to and say "wow, i want to be like them," but my piano and bass playing have both been compared to paul mccartney by different people. :P

if you're talking about measuring weight, then yeah, everything in america is pounds. if you're asking "what do you call it when you've got a hunk of copper" then i have no idea.

sorry, richard, didn't see your post first, so it's not directed toward you or anything.

everybody keep in mind i said "might kind of" before you spend an hour typing about why i'm an idiot. :P at any rate, that guy's band has a level of originality hovering somewhere near zero, and their musical merit isn't much higher.

yeah, how the hell do you think oasis still get any press coverage? it's certainly not because they've made any worthwhile music since 1996. :P (the guy might kind of have a point about coldplay, turin brakes, and starsailor, though, even if it's a gross oversimplification)
-
HOW DOES IT FEELS!
well i can't fault you for that. there are still oasis fans, after all. :sneaky:
-
COPPER!
otherwise i've got no clue.

COPPER!
um.... do you mean gold bars? "rectangles of copper" aren't exactly something we run across all the time, but i think everyone would know what you're talking about if you meant "bar of gold" or something. just a guess.
