  1. i just think it sounds way too compressed and eq'd on AROBTTH. it's also double-tracked in a couple spots. The Dave Brubeck Quartet: "Three to Get Ready"
  2. ah hell, i'll join here. here's one i wrote and played with my band about a year ago: http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3gen/66216/IUMA/Bands/Severn/audio/Severn_-_Strata_Ara.mp3 i played the pianer, sang, and made the squealing feedback noise near the end. i know it's kinda rough.
  3. THANKS, FRIENDLY SPAMMER! :)
  4. it doesn't make you a loser, i just think it's kind of self-indulgent. and that probably says more about me than it does about anybody who actually keeps one.
  5. by "rare" do you mean "bootleg?" because they've only ever released one DVD, and you can't walk into a record store without being assaulted by it. :P
  6. yeah, it could have been if i'd kept at it, hehe.
  7. (sorry to be an asshole, by the way :P )
  8. eh. i don't really see the point of an online diary. i always thought the idea behind a diary was to write things down in a way that gives you privacy, not in a way that gives every person in the world access to every inane detail of your life. :P
  9. The Beach Boys - "Whistle In"
  10. OR Super Furry Animals (but i'm not welsh so i can't say it :P )
  11. my friend showed me a link to a story about this on NME's site, so i know he's not making it up, but like rich says, we don't know what happened. (i'm too lazy to go fishing for the link)
  12. when you start playing a musical instrument, it doesn't really matter which instrument is "hard" to play and which one isn't. if you haven't played anything before, they're all hard. what matters is how much time and effort you're willing to put into it, and how much natural musical talent you have, because some people will simply never be good musicians. as far as the bass is concerned: your fingers WILL hurt a lot when you first start, but don't let that stop you, because that stops after awhile, unless you play for 4 straight hours at a club, as i have before. and if you're wondering what credentials i have to talk about it, i can play bass, guitar, piano, drums, saxophone, and harmonica, and i can noodle around on banjo and mandolin (which means that i suck at them but i could play something given enough time), so i have experience with picking up new instruments. :P
  13. Paramedics brave and strong Up before the break of dawn Putting poker faces on Broken bodies all day long The neighbors heard the fight Someone had a knife It must have been the wife Husband's lost a lot of blood He wakes up screaming oh my god Am I gonna die, am I gonna die? As they strapped his arms down to the sides Times like these they've been talked a lot Buddy just calm down you'll be alright Several friends came to his grave His children were so well behaved As the priest got up to speak The assembly craved relief But he himself had given up So instead he offered them this bitter cup Your gonna die We're all gonna die Could be twenty years Could be tonight Lately I have been wondering why We go to so much trouble To postpone the unavoidable And prolong the pain of being alive
  14. i'm going to go with no, because... well, think about it.
  15. hahahahahahahahaha that thing still makes me laugh every time.
