Are you going to be with your loved ones during Christmas?
well i have a lot of issues with my family that i'd rather talk about with my therapist than with you guys  (no offense) and the few real friends that i have love hanging out with their families, and i'm not going to intrude there. and yes, i recently got dumped, and i spent the last two christmases being with my girlfriend's family, and it was great because i actually felt part of a family when i was with them. i loved them, and they loved me. :( i've got to stop talking about this, this is too much.

EISLEY???!! Who?
they are the audio equivalent of a bear taking a pee all over your camping equipment and then mauling you while you sleep in your tent.

I KNOW THIS WAS ASKED ALREADY!
yeah i think we tend to pronounce our O's strangely. long and short. and apparently when we talk about our beloved football team, way say "Iggles," but i don't think i've ever actually heard that. i do know a guy from pittsburgh who's a fan of the pittsburgh "stillers," though. oh, and the people from the midwest i've met DO sound nasal to me. :P
-
Hmmm...
i'll go ahead and say it: caps lock = annoying as hell. it's the typing equivalent of somebody talking to you in a normal conversation who does nothing but yell, then says "well can't you hear me better?"

As my final exams slowly approach.....
super ready? or... NOT READY AT ALL.

what?WHAT? SIMON!
oh yeah, for a lot of people the biggest positive is that they're playing loud guitars again, but for me, that's pretty much a non-factor.
-
what?WHAT? SIMON!
i was actually referring to the album... anyway, i think it's below average because 1) sonically, it's a step backward by a band who's established their place among the greats by moving forward and pushing boundaries 2) it runs about 4 songs too long, which i wouldn't mind except that some of the tracks on there barely qualify as "songs" and would probably be thrown out by any other band ("sit down. stand up" and "the gloaming" come to mind) 3) the emphasis is more on production and accompaniment than on actual songwriting, which is also uncharacteristic of radiohead. despite that they're easily the most innovative artists of the past decade, their strength has always lied in the fact that there were brilliant pop songs hidden under everything. the most rewarding tracks on Hail to the Thief are the ones with more refined melodies (Scatterbrain, 2+2=5, There There). positives: - even the almost-songs are interesting to listen to for awhile - the lyrics seem to be back in focus again - still better than pablo honey anyway, that was long and probably way more in depth than anybody wanted, but that's my take on it.

I know a few people with this problem
well, i guess i was right.
-
what?WHAT? SIMON!
by radiohead standards, it's below average in my opinion.

I KNOW THIS WAS ASKED ALREADY!
to answer your question, yes they shot rocky here, and i think there are not a total of four of them... if you remember the famous scene with stallone running up the steps of the art museum with the inspirational music playing (gonna fly now), i live about 10 blocks away from there. just a semi-interesting little tidbit. :smug: but now i'm way off-topic.
