  1. then what happens when the next person sits on it? think about THAT.
  2. i'm not sure if you can edit titles of threads.
  3. i can think of a few nominees for "User Most Desperate For Recognition" :P
  4. "d/l" would have been less confusing :P and no, i don't know of any.
  5. incubus lead singer/eye candy :P
  6. yeah, but it's different in each case... some kids would need to be tracked like that, but i think overall it's better for the parents to make their kids feel like they can trust each other. then again, with the environment in which i grew up, what do i know about parenting?
  7. ohhhhhh THAT'S who that is. i hope more people don't change their names, this place will become way too confusing for me.
  8. that one fits in the "true, but obvious" category. :smug:
  9. i don't really have any strong feelings about it one way or the other. i don't live with anybody who would want to track me down for some reason if i wasn't around and i pay for my own cell phone... so it doesn't really apply to me personally in any way. although i can see how it would be useful for parents who feel no need to develop a trust-based relationship with their kids.
  10. if you think Treefingers is bad you should try listening to one of Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works albums. (from which "Treefingers" is blatantly ripped off)
  11. i would think snoop dogg would be angry at that whole thing, but i just saw him on an AOL commercial with Jerry Stiller saying "now wait one minizzle" :o
  12. yeah, i tend to hold radiohead records to a different standard than other records, based on what they've accomplished in the past. i know it's not really fair to do it that way, but to date, amnesiac is the only time they've ever disappointed me.
  13. i haven't heard a howie day album, but i did seem him live in october 2002, and felt kind of the same way you felt hearing the album: it's not bad, but there's not really any reason to call it good either.
  14. considering both albums were taken from the same sessions, i can't think of any reason why there'd be a difference in quality. i certainly haven't noticed anything. the only difference in quality is that Kid A's music is infinitely better than Amnesiac. :P
  15. i'm going to bookmark this and try to read it some time when it isn't 2 am. i hope it helps. http://samvak.tripod.com/string02.html
  16. oh yeah, i also saw some video by Sum 41 poking fun at the Strokes that i enjoyed.
  17. i think i might have an idea, but it could also be completely wrong so i'm going to look it up before i make a huge fool out of myself. i don't really have much more than a basic understanding of the concept, so i really have no business posting in this thread at all.
  18. are you trying to say something about your sexual orientation? :smug:
  19. welcome to the board, relative newcomer i am in my place. :D i'm tom.
  20. i tend to judge music videos just by the video. i think to myself: would i be entertained by this if it had no sound or different sound? that said, i probably didn't see more than 10 or 15 new music videos this year (and that includes two each by coldplay, radiohead, and outkast), and the only ones that i found entertaining (or basically not boring) were "Hey Ya!" by OutKast and "Vaka" by Sigur Ros (right, right, i mean "untitled 1" )
  21. that's why he should write his name on all the banners in a really obnoxious manner. :P
