  1. oh man... I can't STAND Dashboard Confessional. But I do find it hilarious that he/they are doing the big song for Spiderman 2 now.
  2. There's a whole series of licensed books written about the post-return of the jedi events and stuff... but I think George Lucas will probably die before he ever gets any of those events on the silver screen. He's still got another Indiana Jones movie to make, damn it!
  3. Yeah, part of me is still disheartened by the fact that Liv Tyler married someone other than me. :P
  4. While we're on that subject, I'm still trying to figure out how Spiderman was so successful.

    Hmm.... that sounds dynamite.
  6. Kidsmoke Warmonger (if you're a metal band) uh.... Copabanana Cabana
  7. Wilco - "Spiders (Kidsmoke)"
  8. $100?! Hell no. I'm not a cheap bastard, I just don't have hundreds of dollars of disposable income to spend on seeing bands I like play shortened sets in a gigantic venue. I'd much rather just wait to see half of those bands play in smaller venues on different dates, because they'll all be back eventually, and I'll probably save myself a pretty penny. (Hell, I've already seen most of the Lollapalooza bands I was interested in play in small clubs anyway)
  9. NEW WILCO ALBUM! WOOOO It's finally here! Those of us who didn't download it months ago can finally bask in its glory. I'm on the second song of my first listen to it, so there's no point in saying anything yet (especially because Wilco make music you have to listen to many times to appreciate), but I'm liking what I hear so far.
  10. http://entertainment.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=162007 I wouldn't care, but I have to make this observation: Hey Steven Tyler, you know what looks REALLY embarrassing? A grandfather trying to rock!
  11. I have no regrets. I don't like festivals. Too expensive, too many people, and not long enough sets by the bands I usually want to see. So I don't bother with them. :P
  12. Well, I think you were implying a little more than that, but ok. :P As far as the movie is concerned, I completely forgot that they were even making a movie out of the Punisher. Not that I would have seen it anyway.
  13. I guess I'm not the only one who thought it wouldn't be worth the high ticket price.
  14. What exactly is that supposed to mean?

That's pretty sad when there's a movie that looks so horrible that "Dodgeball" looks great in comparison. I don't even want to see it to make fun of it, it's much too easy a target. I can't believe people will actually spend money on that garbage.
  16. Do Make Say Think - "Reitschule"
  17. Well, I FINALLY got to see it, so bumpity bump, because I think more people should. It's one of those movies where it's almost irrelevent whether or not it's "good," because it's very uncomfortable to watch, and it's not at all a pleasant experience. But it's undeniably powerful, and the ending certainly gives you something to think about.
  18. No, there's no excuse for it, but I find it unbelievable that you would say that cutting a civilian's head off and videotaping is the same as torturing POW's. They're both reprehensible without a doubt, but would you rather be tortured and live or be tortured and then beheaded?
  19. :stunned: Well, I'm glad you got better too. ;)
  20. TMI, no? (what I just edited out of here, that is)
  21. hmm..... Travis - "Writing To Reach You" (from The Man Who) Foo Fighters - "Stacked Actors" (from There is Nothing Left to Lose) Built to Spill - "In Your Mind" (from Ancient Melodies of the Future) Radiohead - "You" (from Pablo Honey) Pedro the Lion - "Options" (from Control) The Fire Theft - "It's Over" (from The Fire Theft) Silverchair - "Across the Night" (from Diorama) Calling some of those albums "bad" might be a bit of a stretch (namely Pedro)
