Any one else?
Heh... I was a member two boards ago, but the place has been overrun with idiots for over a year.

What was the last movie you saw?
I watched Alien again last night. I love that movie, a true masterpiece of suspense.

Awww, a Koala Bear
awwwwwwwwwww I love koalas so much.

Sigur Rós
I've seen them twice, actually! The first time, I ended up driving all the way to New York because I wasn't sure they'd ever play around here again, and ended up spending a pretty sum of money between parking, the ticket, transportation, and the CD. Then they played two miles from where I live about six months later. :P

More about Canadians
I've actually had Alexander Keith's, because my roommate brought a bunch back with him when he qent to Quebec. And MY GOD is it good. We've got some stuff here that's made locally that's better than all the big names, but it's got nothing on Keith's.

The Onion
I always forget it started as an actual printed newspaper until I go visit my one friend who has a subscription. Sometimes I see it in news shops.

Metro
I would be too, unless there was actually a legitimate reason you told her that. :P

Metro
My roommates have all gone away and the first one won't be back until next Saturday. I haven't worn pants all day. :wink3: Well, except when I went out for a few hours. Wait, what was I supposed to be talking about?

MATT GOOD
Yeah, but "rocking out" = boring, most of the time  What do I care? I never like Matthew Good anyway. I'll see myself out. :P

When somebody's going to be banned...
...do they get a warning first, or is that it? just wondering. :uhoh2:

the day after tomorrow...
I can't decide if I want to see "The Day After Tomorrow" or not. Part of me wants to, because I'm fascinated by natural disasters (even if, from what I understand, the way they happen in the movie is laughably implausible). But... Roland Emmerich has made some of the most embarrassingly bad movies I've ever seen ("TODAY IS OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY!"  ) I'll wait until some sap I know buys it on DVD and then just watch until all the cool special effects are done. :P

Yeah, have him show you one that isn't. Who was it anyway? Are you allowed to tell? :sneaky:

A great article about the appeal of "Garfield"
http://slate.msn.com/id/2102299/ This is why I love Slate Magazine. :D Also funny: "The movie won't take the nation by storm—in fact, it will probably vanish very quickly—but it will make a tidy sum in theaters and on DVD and then be remembered only by the small sample of tots in the viewing audience who turn into ironic hipsters during their college years." Boy, do they have me pegged (with the first wave of Garfield-mania anyway).

Huh? Firewall? Wha?
Yeah, but if you have a DSL connection or something else that's connected 24/7, you should probably have a firewall.

Charlie Parker
All right, so is anybody else in agreement with me that Charlie Parker is THE LORD? Seriously, I just finished listening to a live album of his, and I can never get over how mind-blowingly amazing his improvisations are. Best saxophone player ever (sorry, Coltrane).

MTV Movie Awards 2004

How do you think Russians feel? They've got half a damn continent that they can't use. :P
