  2. NEVER!!! *dumps tea into Boston's harbor*
  3. Wilco - "At Least That's What You Said"
  4. uhhhhhhhh yeah I went for the third one because that's the one that most often applies to me.
  5. Michelle Branch is TOTALLY HOT. Oh well.
  6. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I saw fireworks tonight, over the art museum. And now I'm good and drunk. ON A SUNDAY NIGHT NO LESS!!!!!! Sweet.
  7. Things usually are too good to be true. But don't let that kill your buzz.
  8. SIMPSONS. I love it.
  9. I bet it is. I bet you also drive more fuel efficient cars as a result instead of whining about the cost and waiting for somebody else to do something about it (as is the fashion here). :P
  10. If people were REALLY concerned about eleminating traffic and congestion, they'd try a little harder to make reliable, affordable public transit available for everybody. But noooooooo, General Motors have got their hands in all of our governments' pockets and so we'll go on into eternity pumping carbon monoxide into the air with our huge SUV's while we complain about how we're paying too much for gas. Sorry, that's a bit of a hot-button issue for me (as an urban dweller who drives a car about twice a month).
  11. ON WE SWEEP! WITH THRESHING OAR! OUR ONLY GOAL WILL BE THE WESTERN SHORE! I'm hungry. I wonder if there's any doughnuts left.
  12. Well, I was walking along the waterfront, taking in the atmosphere and enjoying the July 4th festivities the other night (yeah I know, it was only the 1st then), and I heard this band playing farther down the sidewalk out on a pier. As I get closer I hear them start playing that Lit song, "My Own Worst Enemy," and I start thinking to myself, "Couldn't this cover band play anything better than that?" But I finally got to the stage only to find out... It was Lit, playing a free concert for about a hundred fans and passersby. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
  13. I bought a used acoustic guitar three years ago, and the case smells like smoke to this day. Anyway, I was going to recommend adjusting the truss rod and pickup height, but I guess that is something better left in the hands of professionals (I used to work in a music store, so I have no problem with doing things like that, especially in Fender basses, those are easy!). I'd have to go look at my bass to tell you exactly what you'd have to do if you find out that you can't get it done in a store, or if it's too expensive, but uh... I don't feel like it right now. :P
  14. yeah, that = :snore: here are my personal favorites: Guitar Dave Gilmour (from Pink Floyd) - "Time" Paul McCartney (from the Beatles) - "Taxman" (yes, Paul played that, not George) Drums Joe Morello (from the Dave Brubeck Quartet) - "Take Five" John McEntire and John Herndon (from Tortoise) - "Seneca" Piano Anybody who can play it - George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" (which I'm also going to nominate right now as "greatest song ever written") Again, anybody who can play it - Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D Minor Thelonius Monk - "'Round Midnight" Dave Brubeck - "Theme From Mr. Broadway" Billy Joel - "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" I'm going to have to stop with that one before I really get carried away. Saxophone Charlie Parker - "Night in Tunisia" (by Paparelli and Gillespie) John Coltrane - "Resolution" I think that's enough for now, as there's too many Miles Davis for me to go through before I can pick a favorite trumpet solo. :P
  15. Uhhhhhhhhhhh as it's been awhile since I tried to play any Coldplay songs on guitar (or even on piano, for that matter), I can only remember this: Shiver and Yellow: E A B G B D#
  16. After repeated listens, I'll say yes it is. It's not a "great" album, and it suffers a bit from lack of focus, but overall it's pretty good.
  17. I didn't know there was such a demand for that.
  18. Well I can see that you've at least decided not to take those comments personally. :P
  19. I agree, they do rules. :P Seriously, it's not even a contest. I don't even know why I bothered voting. :P
  20. Look outside, I know that you'll recognize it's summertime.
  21. James Brown - "Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine"
  22. Just Episode I. I thought I clarified that. :P (Plus I've been waiting for Episode III since before the other two even came out, so nyah. :P )
  23. Astor Piazzolla - "Adios Nonino"
  24. Yeah, I've never gotten that one before. :P
