  1. Sternly is very entertaining in a strange way. I wish I had a message board to post on when I was trying to learn French, I might have actually learned something. :P
  2. Yeah, I've always referred to English as the Bastard Language of Europe. That's why none of our rules for grammar or spelling are consistent and everything constantly contradicts itself. (rough and tough don't rhyme with though or bough, etc.)
  3. I may not be "better" per se (and there's not really any need to compare them anyway), but I can say that I enjoyed City of God more than any Tarantino movie.
  4. I've got the soundtrack album to the Song Remains the Same, so I've heard it plenty o' times, but I've only ever seen it once and that was several years ago... But anyway, yes, John Bonham was an absolutely phenominal drummer.
  5. Try saying it with more or less context.
  6. Yeah, there was a lot of humor to it... it kind of reminded me of a Quentin Tarantino movie, the way it kept shifting back and forth between storylines and characters and such. Except it's better than anything Tarantino's ever done. :P I was lucky enough to see it in a theater.
  7. I don't really even care anymore now that the Flyers are out, but I've got to root for Calgary, because I'm really starting to dislike any team from Tampa (see: 2003 NFC Championship Game).
  8. And a  for the loser who didn't even make it out of the first round. :P *pushes memories of 2003 and 2002 out of head*
  9. Either that or he only wanted girls to answer.
  10. As ridiculous as that is, it doesn't sound too unlikely.
  11. At the very least it should have an asterisk. Cherry* * In case of males, refers to anal
  12. I wouldn't really call that a "cherry" though... maybe "chocolate-covered cherry" or some other awful reference to feces.
  13. Should I just assume that every thread Simon starts is going to be random unexplained lyrics? :P
  14. That's something you might want to look into, just for future reference. :P
  15. I think that "nope, my cherry has popped" is a delightfully crude way of stating that (especially since half of the earth's population don't have "cherries"). Anyway, my answer is no, if anybody really wants to know.
  16. Where is "here" for you anyway, Reilly?
  17. Not yet! We could... uh... cheat somehow... eh. Fuck it.
  18. Yo La Tengo - "Tiny Birds"
  19. I think curry is one of those things that I've heard of a lot but I have no idea what it actually is. Like marmalade. Actually that's not a good example because I know what that is now.
  20. I'd hardly consider anything with Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger to be lesser known. :P Reilly, I actually started a thread about City of God a couple months ago, because it is a FANTASTIC movie! One of my favorite films of all time that far too few people know about: Koyaanisqatsi It's an hour and a half long and has no dialogue, no plot, and is nothing but images and music (composed by the brilliant Philip Glass), but it's an hour and a half of the most stunning cinema I've ever seen, even if a lot of the hairstyles and clothing look a little dated 21 years later.
  21. Friday I picked up: Mum - Summer Make Good Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain (original vinyl pressing! WOO!)
  22. Miles Davis - "Freddie Freeloader"
  23. Oh yeah, I forgot, I'm registered on ateaseweb.com too but I don't think I ever made a single post there.
