Smarty Jones
And here I thought there were 19 replies that were actually about the original topic. :dozey: Yes, Smarty Jones lost. He came in second by about a length.

My dad's got the horshoe pattern on the top of his head, and my brother and I always make fun of him for it, but he really doesn't care at all. So there are people who don't necessarily see it as a bad thing. Actually, the only reason my dad doesn't like it is because when he goes to the beach he has to put sunblock on the top of his head.

I'd be really curious to see what Carla looks like, because I can't really picture her physically at all. I like what Josce said, though, about her being really curious about everything, and being amazed by nature and its beauty and such. That's why I love Carla's threads so much, even when they're about really inane things like the kind of shoes we wear or something. :)

No, it's not that bad, because people can't really notice unless I lift up the front of my hair and say "Look how bald I am!" But it'll be bad enough in a few years, I'm sure. Like you said, people should love me for who I am, and if they're willing to put up with all the other weird eccentricities and such, the hair shouldn't bother them all that much. :D

Well... for now, I was planning on not really doing anything. Because that's the philosophy I follow in life. And because my hair is long enough that you can't really notice right now.

What, do you think I'm actually LYING about going bald?

I didn't even make it to two goals. That's one of the most aggravating things I've ever seen. :stunned:

Unfortunately (or fortunately), the pics are of the non-digital variety, and I've no scanner. :P

best experimental album ever?
Well... in the case of Kid A, I could rattle off some names whose influence I can hear: Autechre, Aphex Twin, and especially Brian Eno (basically the entire "IDM" movement). But that's a great point: "experimental" is a relative term.

What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?
Sunny Day Real Estate - "Theo B" aahhhhhhh god this song is awesome.

- best experimental album ever?
Yeah, somebody needs to define "experimental" before I can answer that, because I don't really consider a single album or band mentioned so far in this thread to be experimental, except maybe Godspeed You Black Emperor! And I'd disagree with the statement that "Tomorrow Never Knows" is the source of all of today's dance music. While that is an INCREDIBLE song, I think Kraftwerk's earlier stuff deserves the credit for that. And Revolution 9 sucks ass and is boring as hell, and if you think it's the weirdest song ever recorded, you've never heard any Edgard Varese. :P- Ever feel down...?
I'll admit that sometimes I do find that having to take pills to make life bearable is very disturbing to me sometimes (especially when they raised my dosage and perscribed a second pill), but I think they really do help me. I still feel like hell a lot of the time, but it's not 24/7 like it was for... well, for the first 18 years of my life. I really wish I'd told a doctor about it earlier.- Can You Act?
I've been in a few plays, and I played the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz when I was a senior in high school... but I don't really think I'm that good, so I picked 3.- NBA playoffs 2004
Yeah... what a crapfest that would be. Larry "Benedict Arnold" Brown and the Pistons vs. the LA Lakers, the Yankees of basketball.- Favorite sport moment?
Yeah, and at hockey and soccer, no less. Try beating us at any other sport except those or curling. :P My favorite sports moment during my lifetime was... I guess when the '93 Phillies beat the Braves to go to the World Series, because that was so completely unexpected, and that's pretty much as close as I've had to a champion. :dozey: BUT... I've seen the replay of Tug McGraw recording the final out for the Phillies' 1980 World Series win enough times to feel like I was there. :P- Smarty Jones
Damn that stupid horse! I've been saying for three weeks now that if he was a true Philadelphian, he'd lose the Belmont by half a length, leaving the entire region heartbroken like so many sports figures have done here recently. AND WHAT DID HE GO AND DO?! GAH! I jinxed him. I never thought I'd have any kind of emotional reaction to a horse race, but that dumb horse was Philly's best shot at having a real "champion" since 1983.- You're Best Album Compilation ever !!

Godspeed You Black Emperor! - "Providence" There's no way that would all fit on one CD, or even two (the last track alone is almost a half-hour long), but you said 20 tracks, so there they are. :P I just edited in some revisions, in case anybody cares. :P- Bush being compared to Hitler?
- Are you on a diet?
Well, I guess technically if I wasn't on any diet or any kind I'd die of starvation. :P But no, I'm not trying to lose weight via eating habits.- Ever feel down...?
I have to take pills every day so I don't feel down all the time, and I still do sometimes. :P Like a few other people said (or suggested), it's just human nature to feel that way every now and then.- Imagine
- Silly cat...
HANDSOME B. WONDERFUL!- Imagine
