  1. I know! I know! Boy George.
  2.
  3. :(
  4. Yeah, but that's a greatist hits cd. :P
  5. I have an idea... we should all find pictures online of what we think people here look like! :idea2: Actually, that's a dumb idea. :dozey:
  6. :surprised:
  7. Perfect - absolutely flawless, start to finish, not one single, tiny, little flaw to be found anywhere. Those are pretty high standards. :D The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds Radiohead - Ok Computer The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper is the only Beatles album that makes it for me. All the other ones are either tainted by a crappy Ringo song (Revolver especially is two minutes away from perfection) or are really inconsistent. Sunny Day Real Estate - self-titled Miles Davis - Kind of Blue the Flaming Lips - the Soft Bulletin Kraftwerk - Autobahn Sigur Ros's ( ) comes oh-so-close, but doesn't quite make it in my book. it gets an honorable mention. :P and last but not least, it's not really an "album" per se, but Beethoven's 5th Symphony is 35 minutes of absolute perfection.
  8. HAHAHAHAH!! You sounded like my friend Charlie...i think. Yeah, I think we were both good and sauced that night, so I doubt either of us have a great memory of it. :P
  9. Yeah, this truly is a thread of immortality. :dozey:
  10. oh... I guess I shouldn't post too much here then. :uhoh2:
  11. I imagine Laura as kind of short, with about shoulder length brown hair, and... well, like the pictures she always has in her avatars. :dozey: When I talked to her on the phone her voice wasn't anything like what I thought it would be though, for some reason I was expecting it to be more high-pitched and slightly nasal.
  12. Would "deliberate in movement" be a better phrase to use? :P Because then you might have gotten it. :D I imagine how people look too, but usually it's not as vivid as your descriptions.
  13. And yeah, I think it's been about two years since Layne died... oh. Jacob beat me to it. :P
  14. I used to listen to them a lot, but most music of that era (the whole "grunge" thing) has really bored me for awhile.
  15. Actually the description of "Tom" (as opposed to "Mr. Peed") wasn't too far off. I wouldn't really describe myself as "big and slow," but other than that, it's about right. I am very nonconfrontational (the kind of person who wouldn't ever yell at you).
  16. Wait, am I also "Tom?" I thought she was talking about another person here named Tom.
  17. A tuxedo with a suitcase, very clean and tidy. That's about the complete opposite of me. :P I am a smartass, though. :D
  18. I've actually seen a couple of his "lessons" from a friend of mine who's a dedicated drummer (I'm a drummer, guitarist, bassist, saxophone player, etc., but a pianist at heart), and he went off a couple times when I saw DMB live, but to be honest, fast playing by itself just doesn't really impress me all that much.
  19. Oh.... then maybe they just mumbled it really fast. :P
  20. It's the Flyer connection. :P
  21. Well, for one thing, I'm a native English speaker, so I can probably write more eloquently than you. :P I'm also older, and 4 years or so makes a big difference at our age. I didn't have nearly as good a grasp of most things then as I do now, and in another four years, I'll probably think the same thing about how I am now... if that makes any sense. :dozey:
  22. :surprised: My mom is allergic to bee stings, and I remember once she got stung in the cheek and it started swelling up so she looked like she was holding a softball in her mouth or something. :stunned:
  23. WAFFLES ARE INDEED A TASTY TREAT. :wideeyed:
  24. I went canoeing for 10 days in the wilderness preserve around the Minnesota-Ontario border, and by the time I was done, my legs were chewed up so badly that I literally wore long pants for the entire month after that (the trip was in July) because they looked so nasty.
