  1. And since I fell for Will's spell, I am living there as well, ooh ooh
  2. And livenation doesn't always have an accurate seating chart when tix go on sale. That happened at Home Depot Center. They had a standard concert seating chart up when tix went on sale, but when I was online at 10am, I kept getting GA tickets. But we didn't know where GA was - there is a grass berm at the very opposite end of the stadium, which I thought was GA. So when I ended up with floor seats, I grabbed them. Two hours later, livenation had updated the seating chart to indicate that GA was pit right in front of the stage. For the fees they charge, it would be nice if they were better prepared for big concerts like this!
  3. Yeah, I totally feel your pain. :sweatdrop:
  4. 42? That works for me. Hey, I hear they also have a song called 42. And it seems to be a pretty popular number. :laugh3:
  5. Square One opened the show in 2005. I remember those giant numbers behind the state, and thinking how appropriate Square One was for the opening song.
  6. I have the setlist from the November 25 show I went to, and they added 5 songs since the July show. The November show was just a couple of days after Prospekt's March was released and I remember hoping that they would add some songs from it, but they only added Postcards.
  7. It's been hot here, but without all your humidity - our pool temp is up to 89! We have solar heat for it, but it's only supposed to heat it to 85. And in a week from now, we'll be standing front row in the pit. I want to be on Jonny's side with a clear view of Will. I am so annoyed. While we were on vacation last week, I put my camera on the bench I was sitting on, and it fell off! The metal sloped down and I didn't notice it. It broke my regular lens, so I had to order a new one and pay for express shipping to make sure it gets here before I leave next Saturday. At least it wasn't my zoom lens.
  8. My husband and I saw Jimmy Buffett in May at Verizon in Irvine - the same venue we just saw Coldplay at. For 2 tickets in the same section as the Coldplay tickets I bought (2 for $247 inc fees), Jimmy Buffett was $317 including fees. And um, I'm taking my ten year old daughter to see Miley Cyrus (yes, I am a GREAT mom) in September, tix for that are $79.95 + fees, bringing the grand total to see a 16 year old sing, to $197.
  9. Ha ha...good catch. I've fixed it.
  10. I was at the first "real" US show of the Viva la Vida tour, on July 14, 2008, and I am fortunate enough to be able to be at the last US show of the tour, on August 9, 2009. And I've been to several shows in between. I got to thinking about the setlist, and was wondering how much it had changed since the first and last shows. First Show, July 14, 2008 LIT Violet Hill Clocks In My Place Viva la Vida 42 Yes The Scientist Chinese Sleep Chant GPASUYF Square One Speed of Sound Trouble Lost! Strawberry Swing Yellow (acoustic) Death Will Never Conquer Fix You Lovers in Japan Encore: Death and all of his Friends Setlist from July 19, 2009: LIT Violet Hill Clocks In My Place Yellow Glass of Water Cemeteries of London 42 Fix You Strawberry Swing Talk GPASUYF Hardest Part Postcards from Far Away Viva la Vida Lost Green Eyes Death Will Never Conquer Billie Jean Viva Remix Politik Lovers in Japan Death and all his Friends The Scientist LIT2 The Escapist I like the second setlist better. I don't think they'll change it between July 19 and August 9.
  11. I have to agree here...while I'm *only* 43, I sure don't feel like it. Off to CVS to make sure I don't look 43.
  12. When I won the Cocktails with Coldplay contest, it included concert tickets. But I'd already bought really good seats on Friday during the presale, and I won the tickets on Sunday. The radio station told me "don't call us, we'll call you," when they had the tickets. That was way back in March. I knew that the radio station tickets were probably better than the ones I bought, but I didn't want to take a chance selling them yet. Finally, in early July, 2 weeks before the show, they called, saying I could come pick up the tickets. Ugh, driving all the way to LA - a place I avoid as much as possible. The tix I bought were in the section behind orchestra, first row. The tix I won, were directly in front of my bought tickets, row U out of X rows. So they were a little better. I put in my facebook status that I had two tix for sale, and my neighbor bought them for her daughter. So I totally understand not wanting to take a chance that they might not sell.
  13. I'm thinking about doing a collage or something. I got a set list, too, from the sound guy that night. With my hard tickets from 3 shows, butterflies, 4 cds (2 shows, 2 people), the schedule and the picture, it would be fun to have it all together. :)
  14. There are a lot of pit tickets left. If you go to livenation, to the ticket page, you can look at the "click and pick" map. I would say the pit is maybe 2/3 sold out. But there are only a few rows of seated tickets left, and none in sec 4-10.
  15. Ha ha, that was no accident. There were 4 groups for pictures, and as soon as they finished one group, I walked up to him and pretty much attached myself to him. I told him that I was at the concert the night before and I thought it was amazing. He thanked me and said he hoped I would enjoy tonight's show. Then I told him this was my 4th show of this tour, and I keep coming back. He smiled and then we had to get in place for the picture. Chris shook my and my husband's hand and apologized for the delay, but I left Chris to follow Will, lol. My husband said he was standing there for the picture, when he felt a hand on his shoulder, he looked over and saw that it was Chris. He didn't know that Chris was standing next to him. Unfortunately, I was so glued to Will that I didn't even know where Jonny or Guy or even my husband were in the pic until I got the email. lol
  16. I was able to use frequent flier miles for my plane ticket, and I am going to stay Saturday night in Atlanta with a good friend. Then I fly to Tampa early Sunday morning. I am so excited, and that I got a pit ticket. The pit is really big, though, not like the pit at Verizon in Irvine, which was only like 160 people. I'm meeting some other coldplayers, there, too. I've thought about making a sign, I need to come up with something good.
  17. I had such a great time at this concert, I *had* to see the boys again. So I am flying to Florida by myself to see their last US show in God knows how long. I told you all that I won a radio station contest for Cocktails with Coldplay, that ended up being a rushed photo op because they were running so late after doing a "Stripped" show in Hollywood that same night. I was really really disappointed that our meet and greet got the short end of it all. But I did get a picture from it, and I am standing right next to Will :heart:  and trying not to hyperventilate. My husband is in the blue shirt next to Chris, and Chris had his right arm around my husband's shoulder. Will is taller than I thought he'd be, I'm 5'11. The resolution isn't that great but the guy who sent it to me from the radio station said it was the best he could do... Also, my daughter's ex-boyfriend works at Verizon Amphitheater, and cleaned out Coldplay's dressing room after they were gone, and found a daily schedule. He just mailed it to me. Now I *really* can't wait for Aug. 9 and the PIT .
  18. You don't need an iPhone to download it. I have it on my iPod Touch - which I think is just about the greatest invention ever. I would love an iPhone, but we are stuck with Verizon until the end of time. lol In 2010, though, iPhones are supposed to be available on other wireless networks, instead of just ATT.
  19. Hi all my new Florida friends... You all know that after the July 19 concert in Irvine, CA, I *had* to see the boys again. So I am coming to Florida to see their last US show in God knows how long. I think I mentioned that I won a radio station contest for Cocktails with Coldplay, that ended up being a rushed photo op because they were running so late after doing a "Stripped" show in Hollywood that same night. I was really really disappointed that our meet and greet got the short end of it all. But I did get a picture from it, and I am standing right next to Will    and trying not to hyperventilate. Also, my daughter's ex-boyfriend works at Verizon Amphitheater, and cleaned out Coldplay's dressing room after they were gone, and found a daily schedule. He just mailed it to me. Now I *really* can't wait for Aug. 9 and the PIT baby.
  20. Here is finally is! My picture with Will and the rest of the boys, and 20 of the winners of Cocktails with Coldplay at the July 19 show in Irvine, CA, The resolution isn't the greatest - the radio station sent out a pretty small file, and he said it was the best he could do. Oh well, I am standing right next to Will, and I'm 5'11, so he's taller than I thought he'd be. My husband is in the blue shirt right next to Chris. Chris had his right arm around my husband's shoulder. Also, we ran into my daughter's ex-boyfriend who works at Verizon Amphitheatre. He cleaned out Coldplay's dressing room and found a day schedule, so he just mailed it to me.
  21. My Nikon D40 is pretty much a beginner dslr. To be honest , for the concert, I will leave it on auto. With all the different lighting , I don't trust myself on any other setting! Starfish, you should try to come! Where in the Bay Area are you ? We used to live in Foster City , then Alameda. Two of my children were born in Oakland and Berkeley. But now we live in Orange County, 25 miles south of Disneyland.
  22. So for you Florida people...how bad are summer rainstorms, really? Like all day rain or showers that just pass through? Weatherchannel.com says it's going to rain for the next 10 days, but what does that really mean? It hasn't rained in CA for like 2 years, lol, and it's a "stormwatch" if we get more than 1/4 inch at a time.
  23. I am planning on bringing my dslr. Fast focus and shots. Not like my point and shoots where you have to look at the LCD screen to take pics. Having to look through the viewfinder made s big difference because at the CA shows, it seems everyone is holding up their LCD screens and watching the concert through their cameras. And according to the faq's online for the venue, my camera is ok brcause it's not professional.
