  1. One lump or two? lol Any bets on how much Jonny contact she gets tonight? Lucky Angie.
  2. And his smile. His smile is stunning:D.
  3. Oh my Gawd...could he possibly be any more freaking adorable? I love listening to him speak. :bomb:
  4. It's a big soccer stadium, 30,000. But Verizon Amphitheater is smaller, 22,000 including lawn, and is a steep bowl in the side of a hill, so it feels a lot smaller. We were on the floor Saturday night, 19 rows behind the pit, and Sunday, we were in Orchestra, which is the closest section. Great seats Sunday night and we were right on the aisle the boys run up to get to C stage..
  5. I don't know. They had butterfly cannons set up in several places, just to the side of the stage, some a bit farther back on the side. Then at Verizon in Irvine, they had some set up in the middle of the venue. But, as we found out at Home Depot Center, a lot of where the butterflies land depends on any breeze. At HDC, they blew back to the stage. But the butterfly effect is so cool, and they shoot them out twice during LIJ.
  6. Thanks for responding. We were kind of left in the dark and not told anything other than they were behind schedule. So we were kept waiting for 2 hours and they were 't even at Verizon. I blame management and whomever did the scheduling for cutting it all so close. But sunday was an amazing concert and I got to talk to Will and Chris even I'd it was just for a few seconds. LA seemed so rushed . other backstage footage I've seen shows impromptu jams, ping pong, etc but no time here for that.
  7. Hey I came across this in the FAQ's for Tampa Ford Amphitheater. "Items not allowed in this venue include professional cameras with S, M, or L detachable lenses, audio and video recorders, alcoholic beverages or soft drinks, large or hard coolers, weapons of any kind (this includes pocket knives and watch chains), laser pointers, and glass or metal containers." It sounds like you *can bring in cameras with detachable lenses, just not professional cameras. I have a Nikon D40, and have a detachable zoom, Nikon DX 55-200mm but it's just a beginner dslr. http://www.nikonusa.com/Assets/Digital-SLR/25420-Nikon-D40/Views/353_25420_D40_right_d.jpg with this lens http://www.nikonusa.com/Assets/Camera-Lenses/2156_AF-S-DX-Zoom-NIKKOR-55-200mm-f-4-5.6G-ED/Views/353_2156_AF-S-DX-Zoom-NIKKOR-55-200mm-f-4-5.6G-ED_front.jpg
  8. It was amazing to be that close. We had orchestra seats to begin with, and we had wristbands from a meet and greet, so we just tried to look like we belonged. We waited until some people started leaving then just walked down. The girl who we ended up next to said the band's manager had been sitting in the seats we ended up in. Check out my pics in my sig- a few are from Saturday night, but the other 95 or so are from Sunday.
  9. If I come, I will be alone. We have 3 kids at home, and I think it's time for a mini-vacation for me. I can fly out on Saturday - it takes a whole day to fly east - and home on Monday. I just want to make sure I get front of the pit, and with 1400, well, it's going to get crowded. At Irvine, it was great, there were only 150-160 in the pit. While we weren't in the pit, we were able to sneak down to the 3rd row during The Scientist and LIT2, and we were *right* there. It was awesome.
  10. Here is the pit view that I took before the show last Saturday at Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. It was ginormous, and between 2000-3000. My son and I had seats in the 19th row of the first seated section and it seemed so far back.
  11. Ha ha, Will says "get a torch and shine it in his face." In the US, a torch has flames, and I got worried, then I remembered that in England, a torch is a flashlight. duh
  12. Um, ok. Will pulling on his shirt? :wideeyed::sweatdrop::dead:
  13. Yeah, I feel I need closure, to get psychological about it. I'm still disappointed about the timing of the meet and greet last Sunday - so my Coldplay needs are still a bit unfulfilled. But I'd want to be in front this time, and with a big pit like that. What time do the gates open and how early can you line up? Anyone know?
  14. Great review Angie. Have a great time tonight. I'm still thinking about Tampa...
  15. Hmm, a little more research, and it looks like they will out the orchestra seats and the whole orchestra will be pit. So that is pretty big. Now to convince my husband...
  16. So you enlarged it to life size? Thanks for finding these videos - it's late and I can't sleep.
  17. Yeah, I was wondering why you're still up! It's late girl, get some sleep. You don't want to fall asleep on JB now, do you? lol Nice shirt, btw. And blow a kiss to Will for me. And I'm still waiting for that damn photo - I emailed the radio station today, guess I'll have to start calling and harrassing. Have a great time tomorrow. Maybe I'll see you in Tampa.
  18. Lisa, you're welcome. How did it turn out? I've yet to print any out. Jonny is starting to grow on me, since I had to look past him to get to Will - he's darling.
  19. Ha ha, was that part of his improv ditty? The ones off the top of his head are hilarious.
  20. Angie, what are you going to wear this time? Cape or Southampton? And be sure to give Jackie a big hug. I've decided I *need* to go to Tampa - now to work on convincing my husband. I went to the first show of the US tour on July 14, 2008, and I need to come full circle and go to the last show of the US leg, right?
  21. I'm so glad it was your best concert ever. The novelty hasn't worn off for me yet, I'm still obsessing over the 2 concerts I saw last weekend. They just made me want more!
  22. What time did they perform? Just curious, and I can't help but be a bit annoyed that they were scheduled to do this show, too. Nothing against you, you were so lucky to win, and I texted my little fingers off and played all the stupid online stuff to get points to cash in for entries. But way back in March, I won a Cocktails with Coldplay promotion from KROQ, and they ran out of time to spend any time with those winners because of the Capitol concert. From R 42's video, they arrived at Verizon in Irvine and it was already almost dark. We literally had about a 5 minute photo op for 80 people, *right* and I mean *right* before they went on stage. After they left our groups, we had enough time to walk to our seats, and Blue Danube was playing, so it was so rushed. But that's so awesome you got to go to that show.
  23. Yeah, I had seen him Saturday night at Home Depot Center, but I was too shy to say anything. I was in such a good mood Sunday, that when I saw him, I was brave enough to talk to him, I told him that I thought Sunday's show was better and asked what he thought. He said he likes doing big stadium shows so he liked Saturday. Then I said, well, I had way better seats for Sunday so that made a huge difference for me, and that I'd seen him Saturday. He was busy, so I kept walking. Then I passed the sound table, and asked one of the guys for a setlist - I don't know his name. He said he didn't think they had one, but the other guy overheard him and handed one to him for me. :)
