Wow, I Loved your review. What an amazing experience you had. As for the sound being off, that's why they wear their earpieces. They hear the music they're playing so they can sing in time, and they don't hear the sound from the speakers. It must take some getting used to, I would think. I won a radio promotion here for Cocktails with Coldplay before Sunday's show, so I get to meet the boys. I'm beyond excited, and I'm hoping since the promotion is for a cocktail party, that we'll actually get to talk to them for a few minutes. I haven't heard the details from the radio station. They called last week and I had to go pick up the tickets, but they said they'd call this week about the party. It will be interesting, though, what the protocol is.

They're making a big deal out of the "secret" location. I'm so excited for the cocktail party. A tiny bit of me is kind of disappointed in the tickets I won, though. I had bought presale tickets in Sec 8, Row AA, the best I could get. Then the tickets I won from KROQ are in Sec 3, Row U (out of X rows). They are directly in front of the tickets I bought, and only 3 rows closer. I was kind of hoping for, oh, row 1? lol But they are slightly better seats, so that's good, and I was able to sell the other tickets to a neighbor.

Ok, the details for the Star 98.7 give away are: Listen at 7:20am and 8:20am, this week. They will give you a keyword to text to them. The winner is chosen randomly from the texts received at that time, and notified and announced on the radio. The 7:20 am winner was on the radio at 7:38am. So two winners a day in the morning.

One week from today, I get to meet Will. The radio station that I won the Cocktails with Coldplay promotion from is going to call this week with the details. I'm curious to find out what kind of "rules" there are. Will it be an actual "party" or it will probably just be staged like with a receiving line or something. Unless the boys will actually mingle with the fans. Ohhh, I'm beyond excited.

One week from today, and I get to MEET COLDPLAY! I'm beyond excited. The radio station that I won from says they'll call this week with the details of Cocktails with Coldplay. Wonder what kind of rules there will be?

See, I saw them in June and November of last year. The June show was the first night of the whole tour. The November show was just around the time they released Prospekt's March, and now they've added several songs from that. So they have changed it up a bit since the last US leg.

Will's birthday is July 31. I thought about bringing him a gift - I knit and I had thought of knitting him a manscarf, but then that seemed too weird fan-ish. And then I've heard they give all their gifts to charity. And with my husband there, too, I'll just have to play it cool and keep my little obsession to myself. But I am so excited about both nights. The one thing I am a tiny bit disappointed about is the location of the tickets that I won. I had bought presale tickets, and they were good seats, 2nd tier back, first row, AA. The ones I won are in the first tier, but row U out of X rows, and are directly in front of the ones I bought. I was kind of hoping for, oh, front row or something. But they are better seats. I had been hoping I could get amazing photos from the won seats, but my point and shoot zoom isn't that great. If I could bring my dslr with my zoom lens, that would be better...I'll just have to be happy with pics of me with my arm around Will :blush:

I have no idea what I'm going to say to them. Number one, is not get drunk, lol. Number two is not be a blabbering idiot and say something really stupid. Number three is to make sure my husband doesn't say something about my uh, obsession, with them, to totally humiliate me. Number four, not hyperventilate or faint in front of Will. I'll probably talk about something boring, like how amazing Saturday's concert was, keep it on safe territory, lol. I wish I could bring my "good" camera, my dslr, but I don't think they'll let those in, so I'll have to make do with my point and shoot. The radio station, KROQ, is going to call me with more details next week.

Back in Row 19 - I'm still kicking myself for not going for the GA tickets when they first went on sale. At the time, GA wasn't shown on the chart, so I didn't know where they were. Oh well. I've never been on the floor before at one of their concerts - hopefully the crowd will be good! At the Honda Center show last November, I was disappointed in the crowd in my section - they just stood there, while I was having a good time, a *really good time, lol. My son is still trying to talk me into taking him to Sunday's show and taking my husband to Saturday's show - I won a contest to meet the boys before the show for "Cocktails with Coldplay" - but I think husband trumps son in that case.

Yes, July 19. Lucky you, getting to go to all 5 show. I still really want to go to Chula Vista, only an hour from me, but my husband is rolling his eyes at me for wanting to go to more than just the July 18 and July 19 shows. The Irvine show is only 10 minutes from my house :)

Well, register with Star 98.7 and start listening Monday. I never win anything either, and I won KROQ's Cocktail with Coldplay contest, so I get to meet the band for drinks before their July 19 concert. But if you never try you'll never know ;) They're going to be busy on Sunday, with this "secret performance," the Cocktails with Coldplay promotion and then the concert that night!

Anyone else in Sec E2? I'm so excited. I'm bringing my 13 year old son to this concret - his first "real" concert, if you don't count High School Musical Live, lol. He's never seen me in Coldplay Live mode - hope I don't scare him. :stunned: But I've trained him well, and he knows all the words.

Hey, Orange County is a nice place, and not everyone who lives here is like that tv show (although I do see those housewives around town). And Coldplay must like it, they played here last November and are here again next Sunday. They're going to have a busy day on the 19th, what with the Star 98.7 promotion, and the KROQ 106.7 promotion that I won, and the concert that night! I get to have Cocktails with Coldplay before their concert and meet them!

LOL, I think Seattle gets as much sun as London, you won't have to worry about losing your vampire white skin ;)

Plus you live in England...we moved from Southern California to London several years ago for my husband's job, and I don't think I saw the sun for a year! We are back in So Cal, where it's bright and sunny most of the year.;)

Ok, it's getting closer to July 19, the day I get to have drinks with Will :) The radio station that I won the tickets and the Cocktails with Coldplay from called yesterday, so I drove up to LA today to pick up the tickets. They will call me next week to let me know the Cocktails details. I'm really excited! While I'm happy and grateful that I won concert tickets, I had bought tickets through the presale, 2 days before I won the contest. The tickets I bought are in loge (orchestra is first, then loge, then terrace, then lawn), row AA, first row of the section. The tickets I won are only slightly better, orchestra, row U (out of X rows). So they are only 3 rows, plus an aisle better than the ones I bought. But I do get to MEET THE BAND for drinks, so I'll have good, if not great, pics from that.

Well, I get to meet them Sunday night :D But I won a radio station call-in contest for that. Chris will probably go home at night - he lives less than an hour away from Sat and Sun night venues. As far as the hotel, there are so many, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Yay! KROQ just called and I can pick up the tickets that I won to the concert anytime. When I won the tickets, way back in March, they said "don't call us, we'll call you." So I've been patiently waiting. I just have to drive up to LA now - that alone is an all day event from here. They also said they'd call me again next week to go over the details for Cocktails with Coldplay! 13 days until I get to meet the boys...

Guy's arm looks really creepy.

He messes up all the time, lol. In R42's tweet, the one with the video of the proposal, he messed up on The Hardest Part. He's forgotten or made a mistake in 2 of the concerts I've been to, and he just laughs it of with an Oh f*ck, and goes on. Part of that boyish charm. :wink3:

I get to meet Will 3 weeks from today! I can't wait. I'll make sure to take lots of pictures. And why do most people use photobucket for sharing their pics here instead of shutterfly? I share and order my pictures and books and things from shutterfly, so I was just wondering.
