  1. I know! And who is almost always in the frames behind Jonny???? So I appreciate your efforts very much
  2. Ahhhhh!!! Everyone always focuses on Chris when they shoot videos, I'm glad you focused on Jonny and Will!
  3. Oh you lucky, lucky woman. If only those buns were in my camera frame like that... I'm SO glad you finally got your Warning Sign.
  4. I love this picture of you and Chris - I'm glad you took off the peasuit for it :P
  5. Well, it's really hard, as in pretty much next to impossible, to get good seats during the presale, especially in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl - as in my case. I bought the "tour package" VIP tickets, for $275 each. Face value of the tickets was $167 (which paid for the first show we went to - we got lucky, not as good as the VIP seats but decent). For our $275, we were guaranteed great seats, plus got the t-shirt ($40 at the show), the keychain, a numbered lithograph (not signed), and commemorative ticket. This was more appealing to me than having to buy tickets from the resale market, like stub hub or scalper. I'd rather be guaranteed a real ticket and not have to worry about counterfeit tickets. The more expensive VIP package guaranteed even better seats, as well as a food and open bar reception, and the other goodies that came with it.
  6. It's my thought with any of the VIP packages is that it guarantees you decent seats. No meet and greet or soundcheck. They throw in a few trinkets, keychain, tshirts, laminated souvenir ticket for a little extra. The more expensive VIP includes a reception with food and drinks.
  7. I was there.....without a doubt, the BEST morning of my life.
  8. Cai†y Mariah ‏@CaityMariah Just Gwyneth Paltrow and her kiddies being fabulous next to us nbd. Look! A family photo. :P
  9. And this is why I keep coming back for more. Yes the setlist is the same, and the "joke" are the same. But somehow they always make it seem like its the first time. I have seen so many MX shows and I fear I've seen my last :( Like you, Jilly, I've seen them from just about every location in the venues and I've loved every show (although I must admit, I hope to never sit in the nosebleeds again - just too far away for me). Awesome review and thoughts.
  10. I know that. But to make it "easy" to understand, anything with a detachable lens is not allowed, even if you only have one lens with you. I Have a "beginner" dslr, a Nikon d40 and I know it's not a real "professional" cAmera, but venue purse inspectors don't know the difference between a d7000 and a d40, so they make the distinction with the detachable lens.
  11. Anything with a detachable lens is considered a "professional" camera.
  12. That's not always true. I've obviously been to many shows and have sat pretty much everywhere in the venues. I have seen hard core fans in every section of the venues as well as casual fans. I, and many others here, can afford it, and have paid a lot of money for good and great seats and we consider ourselves "true fans." I know you're frustrated, but don't say you can't be a true fan if you can afford good seats, that's not a fair statement.
  13. It looks like one of those compression support bands for tennis elbow, based on where he is wearing it.
  14. LFDianne replied to Miha's topic in Coldplay
I'm pretty sure he uses a Nikon dslr, but I don't know what model. I do know, though, that he takes many photos (maybe 20 or so) for the panoramas and edits them together, so not just a single photo with a fish eye lens.
  15. ANY camera that has a removable lens is considered a "professional" camera, even if you only bring one lens. Point and shoots are fine, even "big" ones, as long as the lens is permanently attached.
  16. I was surprised that it takes my son 4 hours to get from New Orleans , where he goes to college, to Monroe where my brother in law lives. But in talking with someone in the crew, it was 16 hours to get from Houston to Tampa.
  17. But you're asking others to upload it for you. I'm sorry, but I'm just hugely against copyright infringement and piracy. I uploaded a few pages to give people an idea of what it was, but I'm really just not comfortable uploading the rest. Maybe someone else will, but it won't be me. Really, it's nothing personal against you or any other Coldplayer. Now if someone were to contact Coldplay or the publishers for permission, then that's another story.
  18. I said it "almost sounded like" the tour was winding down, with his talk of end-of-leg crew parties (when there are still 3 more legs), lasting friendships, and this line, "I’m starting to realise how much I’m going to miss this tour (or more importantly my friends on it) when it’s over, so I’m trying to force myself from hotel-room hermitage and out to enjoy as much of it as I can while we’re still out here." To me, it sounded like something you would write at the end of a tour or at least, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. But I know, there are still 25 or so shows left, then they go to NZ/Aus. I just got the feeling from the general tone of his blog, that this may be it as far as the proper Mylo Xyloto tour, and not scheduling any more dates in 2013.
  19. That's my feeling, too. I scanned and uploaded the cover and first 9 pages, but am hesitant to post the whole thing. I know everyone is dying to see it, but it will be available commercially soon, and is only $5. Kind of for the same reason I don't download bootlegs or music, and I don't download music from concerts I haven't attended or that haven't been online "legally" (i.e., Coldplay at Glastonbury last year). Sorry people. I'm just not comfortable posting more of the comic.
  20. In R42's latest blog, he almost sounded like this tour is winding down, with phrases like,"This is probably the happiest and warmest touring family I can ever remember being part of, so the opportunity to all hang out in a room together with our hair let well down is truly wonderful. I’m starting to realise how much I’m going to miss this tour (or more importantly my friends on it) when it’s over, so I’m trying to force myself from hotel-room hermitage and out to enjoy as much of it as I can while we’re still out here." And he says, "I’ve been on the road for over twenty years and I can recall plenty of that time that’s been a struggle. What’s going on here, though, is very special and supremely enjoyable. These are friendships that will endure until all of this is just a “do you remember when?”." To me, these sound like the tour is winding down - now I do realize they have 2 more weeks of North America shows, and then a few weeks in Europe, then the handful of New Zealand/Australia shows, but I just get the feeling that that's it for the Mylo Xyloto Tour. Between the many European festivals, and the 3 US Festivals in Summer 2011, then the European arena shows last December 2011 and the ping ponging between US and Europe for the last 3 months, with 2 more months yet to come, they have played a lot of shows, over the course of more than a year. I really think they're done and won't be coming back for another US leg.
  21. My friend Jason is at Comic Con and picked up my copy. I'll scan more tomorrow. Takes a while to scan and upload.
  22. Ok, Everyone. Are you ready for this? Here are the first 9 pages of Mylo Xyloto. There are 36 total pages. *photos removed due to copyright reasons*
  23. I have a drumstick from Will and those drumsticks are not stage-used. Will uses American Hickory, but Will's sticks are wrapped with tape, and not painted.
  24. The cover, from Comic Con edition. . Inside cover Page 1 Now these pics are with my iPhone in the car. So excuse the quality. It's 36 pages long. I have not read it yet.
  25. You guys. Calm down. I'm spending the day at the San Diego Zoo with my family. I'm meeting my friend in a little while. I won't be home for several hours. I know everyone's anxious and I'll try to scan it later tonight.
