  1. If it was his wedding ring, he'd be wearing it on his 4th finger, not his pinky. He used to wear both rings.
  2. Eh, well I can't stand Kanye, so I skipped over him. And as I said in another post, the first time I saw Bruce was in 1981 - so yes, you are a young 'un compared to me. Hell, 95% of this board is probably younger than me.
  3. Haha. The first time I saw Bruce in concert was in 1981. And believe it or not, I also saw U2 when they were an Opening Act for J Geils Band in 1982.
  4. As an old Bruce fan, I've seen him probably a dozen times over the years, but not for the past 10 years or so. But the Bruuuuuuuuuuuce is definitely a flashback that I suppose the young 'uns and non-Americans don't know about. :::missing Clarence The Big Man:::
  5. These young 'uns don't know that screaming "Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuucccceeeee" is a sign of respect to the Boss. :laugh3:
  6. Oh man. He looks really really good. Beautiful Day was a bit weird, like the wrong key for him, but whatever. With Or Without You - awesome. And I am LOVING his hair.
  7. Chris+Martin+Chris+Martin+Arriving+Flight+5H5r2xeuVchl.jpg So who are these dudes following him with the guitars? I bet they're the eBay sellers, who sell instruments that musicians have signed. Hope Chris doesn't sign so these guys make a huge profit off his autograph!
  8. We are having a heatwave.
  9. J Law was there. A friend of mine saw her leaving after the show.
  10. Well, my Coldplay luck seems to have run out. I know there are KROQ winners who are selling their plus-1 tickets, but at this point in time, I just can't do $150-200 and up. So I will have to be content to listen to the radio with my eyes closed and picture the whole thing in my imagination. KROQ mentioned today that it's an 80 minute set. And I have been lucky enough to see 2 Ghost Stories shows from the front row, and at the end of show 2, literally up against the stage. I will be content with that until their next big tour. The MX era was pure magic for me, and my Ghost Stories time was magic as well, so I need to hold on to that.
  11. 8:30pm for me. Tomorrow is my last chance. Last day of Caller 20 radio contest, and they are notifying the 25 winners of the online drawing.
  12. I've gotten through a few times. The worst is when it starts ringing and no one picks up, then after about 30 rings, it goes to fast busy. I'm so frustrated. And KROQ even said the theatre holds 1600. KROQ is giving away 125 pairs of tickets (250 total seats), Beats gave away like 25 pairs (50 seats). That's 300. Who has the other 1300 tickets??? Sucks if it's Atlantic Records, because we ALL know how much Coldplay like their big fans in the front rows, hell, they like big fans in the whole venue! I was at Weenie Roast a couple of years ago, Coldplay headlined and closed the show. It was so NOT a Coldplay crowd. I had the chance to speak to Chris a couple of weeks later, and mentioned Weenie Roast and even he said it was "not good." So I hope it's not just a bunch of too-cool-for-you industry peeps who are just handed promo tickets.
  13. I know!!! I'm listening to Stryker too and right after he said that, I tweeted him. Here's a screenshot of it and he replied!
  14. KROQ is the only local station. I entered the beats contest too but I think that's a national contest. That means they would provide transportation so I think there's only a couple of winners.
  15. I've gotten through a few times. They've answered after 2-3 rings. Seems like Caller 20 comes pretty quickly, and I don't bother calling more than 5-6 times anymore. Since KROQ has 125 pairs to give away, where are the other 1000 tickets?
  16. I suppose there is an upside - I'm staying home and getting some much needed deep cleaning and organizing done while I listen to the radio all day. My laundry room and baseboards look great!
  17. NO!      I have become pathetically obsessed. They are giving away tickets from 9am-6pm, every hour, on the hour. I'm basically living my life this week by the damn radio and the cue. I've called hundreds of times over the last 3 days. I've been Caller 3, 6, 7 and 8. This is torturous. AAAAAHHHHH...I just got 3 busy signals, then it rang like 30 times and went fast busy. This sucks.

  19. Dialing like crazy...hoping someone here wins to represent.
  20. So just heard the commercial on KROQ. They're giving away tickets all week, between 9-6, on the hour.. Wish me luck...
  21. Maybe they got their time zones mixed up. The show on the 17th in LA will be the 18th in Netherlands. Lol.
  22. Cute show. Can't believe how lucky he was! Funny thing is that I was actually AT 3 of the shows he was at. Mumford and Sons at the Palladium. Railroad Revival Tour. And Austin City Limits.
  23. I live near LA and haven't heard anything about a show on the 18th and very little about the show on the 17th. Just so strange.
