  1. KROQ just announced they're giving away tickets to a "secret" show, starting tomorrow. Wonder why they're calling it "secret?" It was announced last month!
  2. So this show is in 13 days. There's been no mention of ticket contests on local radio stations or anything since the original announcement last month. I'm getting antsy! I commented on Facebook to KROQ a week and a half ago, and all they said was "soon."
  3. [video=youtube_share;VDUl3SkpsUA]http://youtu.be/VDUl3SkpsUA Ice Bucket Fails... Hahahaha
  4. It's something fun, silly and a way for millions of people to get involved, at a very small cost per person. But when millions of people contribute just a little, it adds up to a lot. Who cares if celebrities do it? They're just regular people like everyone else! My daughter and all her friends have done it too. I look at is as the same thing as a charity dunk tank - We did one in Laguna Beach a few weeks ago - fundraiser for the local police. Pay $1, get 3 balls and try to dunk a cop. What is the difference? And the reason most videos are so short? They're on instagram - 15 second limit.
  5. That's horrible. I hate that fans now have to "purchase" seats on top of the crazy prices for tickets. The Giants aren't the only ones doing that. I think it's because they have to do something to pay these athletes $40-60 MILLION a year. Sad for the real fans, and instead of sports being a family experience, it becomes all about sponsorship.
  6. Wow! Look at this theatre! Gorgeous! http://www.acehotel.com/losangeles/theatre
  7. The show is the day before my birthday. Can't think of a better way to celebrate than by being at my 25th Coldplay show. Since the show will be broadcast on CBS stations, I'm really really REALLY hoping KROQ and Amp 97.1 (as local CBS affiliates) will be giving away tickets. Wish me luck. I'm still sad I couldn't get tickets to the Royce Hall show!
  8. And don't forget my random Flower Shirt photo :) In my sig at Hollywood Bowl, May 4, 2012.
  9. I've washed my hands, after shaking Will's and Chris's hands. But I haven't washed the shirt I was wearing when Chris hugged me, and later signed it for me. It's the Oxfam volunteer shirt. I should frame it. Lol
  10. Well... My husband took the photo and you know... I did shake his hand though and kind of didn't want to let go.
  11. I've always wanted to rub his fuzzy head.
  12. Lucy was let in early as the major prize winner. She has some amazingly close up videos.
  13. Stepsi, what a great story! Always fun to see the behind the scenes.
  14. So everyone seems to agree the Ghost Stories shows are wonderful/amazing/insert superlative. But the big complaint seems to be the length of the shows, especially with 6 full length albums, and a couple of EPs now. For comparisons sake, here are 3 setlists: and The more songs they've released, the shorter the set? Seems counter-intuitive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I don't know what Jonny was doing because I was sitting next to Will and couldn't take my eyes off him and Jonny was on the other side of the stage.
  16. I have no idea. He picked up a little black flat box thing, maybe 2x3 inches, and jiggled it along the guitar strings.
  17. And Will uses the little thingie-- technical term I know-- that makes the bird chirp noise from his guitar. It was like a tiny black box that he ran along the strings.
  18. I must say, I LOVE how they're changing up their set lists a bit now...unlike past tours... Too bad this one is so short :( I'm still hoping they do Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas in October. After Glasgow, maybe they'll reconsider festivals/bigger shows. :laugh3:
  19. It was breaking up for me too, but I refreshed and it's great now.
  20. Chris is such a suck up. LOL
  21. My computer is in my home office and I can usually stream or mirror from my iPad/iphone through Apple TV to get the surround sound in my family room, so I'm stuck at my computer.
  22. Ugh. Is anyone in the US listening on their iPhone or iPad? The link keeps taking me to install the app, and I don't want to do that - I just want the stream, so I can play through Apple TV...
  23. So the live show will just start when it does? I don't need to do anything else? My high school French is a rusty after ::cough::30:: years...
  24. No video in US but audio is fine. Anyone have a working US link?
