Ellen tapes all her shows the day before they air. This tweet is from last week, so Coldplay recorded their performance last week, and it was just edited into yesterday's show, which is why there is no crowd reaction shots.

Watching it late but did anyone notice they played to an empty studio? I've been to Ellen a few times and saw Coldplay last time they were on Ellen. There wasn't a single crowd shot while they were playing, and Ellen always shows audience reactions for everything. They showed a video performance to the crowd to get the cheers at the end. Wonder why they did it this way?

Me, too, Erick. Oh well... I keep consoling myself with the fact that the Sony show in May was truly a once in a lifetime experience - not the taping show, but the Sunday afternoon show. Minimal cameras, just an amazing crowd filled with huge fans, and the band's interaction with the crowd was beyond anything I've seen before. Have fun tonight, everyone who is going!

Are you watching on a mobile device or a computer? There's an option for people who upload to not allow videos to be played on mobile devices. Maybe that's why? The uploader can go into options on YouTube and change the settings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They actually filmed 3 shows and edited them together. And then performed a 4th show with no cameras. I was at the "crowd reaction" show. Seems they did one show that was focused on the bands another show for effects and then the show for the crowd. I think Geyneth and the kids were there Friday night and I was there Saturday night. I must admit, I'm really really sad I couldn't get tickets to this show. I tried for a single and a pair, on 3 devices. Just not my day... I graduated from UCLA many years ago, and it would have been so cool to see them there again. I keep trying to win from KROQ - can't afford stub hub. We will be coming home late Sunday night from my daughter's soccer tournament in Seattle, so I even have to wait to watch the tv show, unless I can get wifi on the plane and watch on my iPad. :D

The TM app didn't work for me until I exited and went back in. By then it was too late...

I was using my mac, iPad and iPhone. Didn't pull even a single ticket after an hour and a half of trying. Guess my karma has run out. Congrats to everyone who got tickets! It's an amazing show and so awesome to see the new songs live!

New LA announced - Free show from star98.7 A local radio station is giving away tickets this week to a special Coldplay show Friday night at the iHeart Radio studio in Burbank on Friday night. I can't go because I will be in Seattle this weekend for my daughter's soccer tournament. Still hoping to get tickets for Monday night, either through the sale or winning from KROQ. According to KROQ, tickets will go on sale Wednesday.

No! They're cutting it tight but I'm wondering of it's to cut down on scalpers. I'm just hoping they don't go in sale Thursday between 12-3 when I will be on a plane! Oh Christa, this is exactly how I feel. I'm glad you remember the songs, because I can't remember much from the shows in March. I was just so blown away and in awe. And I realized by trying to remember everything that I was missing the present. Thanks for an awesome heartfelt review.

Thank you so much for that video. In LA, we were not allowed to bring in phones or cameras, and on the one hand it was kind of nice not to have the distraction of all those phones in the air, but on the other, oh those songs and memories. I know they will be on the tv show, but I always love documenting my experiences at a show.

Chris keeps saying "this is the first time anyone's heard this." Is he forgetting the 800 x 4 people who heard it in LA? Maybe he's thinking we don't count? :cry:
