[2015-12-07] Coldplay on The Late Late Show with James Corden
I think music is subjective, so I can't rate the song - what I like, you might hate and vice versa. I will say I liked the song a lot.

[2015-12-07] Coldplay on The Late Late Show with James Corden
Home now, after a super long day. I hate driving to LA - took 2 hours to get up there this morning and nearly 3 hours to get home. TV shows are so full of production, its always interesting to watch. We arrived at about 8:30, saw there was no line, drove to the parking structure at the Grove and walked to the line. There were 3 people there by then, Oz and Jimmy and someone else. We waited until about 10:30 when we received our wristbands from 1iota. I always have been happy with the way they run their shows. After awhile, we were led inside to a waiting area, and waited for about 45 minutes. We noticed there were 2 groups of people, and found out some were "house guests," most likely meaning friends of the show production staff, and maybe band. There were about 50 of them, and a few hundred of "us." The guests were led into the studio first, and while we were waiting, it was fun to see some familiar faces - Matt, Miller, Hoppy, I think Rik was there, too. When we were led into the studio, there was a rather large floor area, where the house guests were standing and we were sat in the front row of the elevated seats behind the floor. We had priority tickets so were let in first, before the general ticket holders. Front row was great, but I was behind a huge camera which blocked much of my view :( The studio seats filled up, then they started letting the "overflow" onto the floor area. At first I was kind of bummed, because I'd rather be standing than sitting, but what could I do? The production staff went over some audience details with us, telling us how James would enter and how the band would enter, etc. The band came out to the stage, and we all went nuts. They filmed the James's entrance and then the boys started with AOAL - it looked and sounded really good. They were all so happy and bouncy and smiley. The crowd was all on their feet, clapping and dancing and having a great time. Jonny was wearing a bluish-grayish shirt with long red sleeves, Chris was wearing a purple t-shirt, Will wore red, and Guy wore a dark colored button up shirt. They played the song once, then played it again. Chris interacted with the people in the front row of the floor, so fun. A littlte more production talk, and they launched into A Head Full of Dreams - I had no idea what song it was for the longest time. It was harder to hear, the sound in a tv studio is engineered for broadcast and while we could hear it and it was live and everything, it's not regular concert quality, if that makes sense. Finally I heard him say "head full of dreams" in a chorus and realized that's what it was. Very upbeat, happy, bouncy song, everyone clapping along. Several times, the audience all just started bouncing in time in unison - that's always fun to see when everyone is involved. The second time I really tried to pay more attention to the lyrics, but it was so hard and my memory sucks...but something like "everythings not as it seems in a head full of dreams," but don't quote me on that. I loved it - loved the boy's energy, their connection, they looked happy to be performing again...There is a house band with the bandleader named Reggie, and Chris had some fun banter with him, during the non filming time. Then, they announced they had to clear all the people off the floor area - the house guests got to stay in the studio but everyone else had to leave. Now I was REALLY glad I wasn't on the floor. Haha. They cleared everyone to bring in comfy movie theater type chairs for the floor audience to sit in. The people who were not the house guests all had to leave, thanks for coming...But we got to stay for the interview. We were sitting on the aisle, and the band walked down the stairs past us to get back to the floor for the interview - their grand entrance so to speak. They were high fiving people as they walked down and I got a high five from Will - my life is now made, and I'm never washing that hand again...haha... They sat on the sofa, WGJC, swoon. Can I just say how much I've missed those boys??? You will have to watch the show when it airs, but they talked about how James knows them all from London, running into Jonny at breakfast and how he used to live next door to Chris, how the album was recorded - some in LA, some in London, they still use the bakery, they work better when they "mix things up" a bit while recording, james asked about Beyonce's part in the album and how that came to be and Chris - gotta love him - told some funny story about how they live in a castle and you have to pass several tests to get to the King and Queen. Hahaha. They talked about the dynamics of how they function as a band and how they resolve rows. TBH, Guy spoke more in this interview than I've ever heard him speak before. Will spoke a lot, and so did Jonny. SO nice to see them ALL participate and not just let Chris lead. Umm...trying to remember more, but I'm drawing a blank...Oh they did say they will be touring world wide - South America, North America, Asia, Europe, but "not Antarctica." and in typical Chris fashion, he said they were playing big venues and hope they won't be playing to empty rooms, oh and they talked about their first gig where they had to play some festival before the gates opened, so had to play to an empty field. This is all jumbled, but I keep thinking of more... So that was that... SO awesome and I still can't stop smiling because I freaking saw Coldplay today and high fived Will...sigh... No one said when it would air, but we asked the crowd control guy and he said he thought sometime next week, but keep an eye on your tv guides... I so can't wait for tomorrow night!!!!!

A Head Full Of Dreams (Title track)
I'm horrible at remembering songs...LOL Especially since it's a brand new song, when you're in complete awe, once again, to be in the room with the boys. They played AHFOD twice. The first time, it was really hard to try to hear/understand lyrics. TV studios focus more on recording sound than live sound. Don't get me wrong, we could hear the song, but it will sound different when it's shown on tv. Jonny has riffs, Will's drums - oh I've missed watching him bang the s*it out of his kit. The song is very upbeat, and "happy" sounding. I really tried to pay attention more to the lyrics the second time, but it was so hard...something about things not being as they seem in a head full of dreams but don't quote me on that. There were parts where the crowd was all bouncing in unison - it has that kind of cheerful beat. Sorry I can't be more detailed...I know people will be recording it tomorrow at the KROQ/Tidal show. We were not allowed to bring in cameras or phones today. If I can think of anything else, I'll post more... but I'm just gonna say, they boys are back and are amazing, and it was obvious they're loving this and having the best time now...

[2015-11-12] Chris Martin interview On Air with Ryan Secrest
The 104.3 studio is down the hall from KIIS 102.7 so he did Ryan Seacrest first and walked down to do the other show. [emoji23]

We are on our way! I forgot how much I despise LA traffic - it's taking us 2 hours to go 60 miles. [emoji52] No cameras or phones allowed in the studio.

[2015-11-21] TIDALXCOLDPLAY Presented by KROQ (Tonight 20:30 LA, 04:30 UK)
I had to subscribe to Tidal to create the playlist I needed to submit when I entered. It's US $9.99/month but there is a free one month trial.

[2015-11-21] TIDALXCOLDPLAY Presented by KROQ (Tonight 20:30 LA, 04:30 UK)
Ohhh. I feel your pain. I was calling using 2 phones at the same time and one time I was caller 8 on one phone and 9 on the other, both were ringing at the same time. I called hundreds of times and the closest I got was caller 18. I was even caller 1 once. Good luck! But I got lucky and got my tickets from TIDAL, the "submit your playlist" contest - they gave away 125 pairs for that one.

The tickets say the taping is going to be from 12:30-2:00. Which is pretty typical for them to perform 2 songs in a tv studio setting. They will run through both songs several times, getting different camera angles. And maybe throw in an extra song or two, for the studio audience, just because. Can I just say once again how freaking excited I am to be seeing them again, and twice in 2 days!

How fun would that be? Of course, I'm willing to line up early, but my daughter has school - I may be able to pull her out after 1st period. She only has periods 1 and 3 on Fridays, but she could skip 3rd. I'm such a bad mom. :P

[2015-11-21] TIDALXCOLDPLAY Presented by KROQ (Tonight 20:30 LA, 04:30 UK)
I just got the email from Tidal too! And my husband won, too, so we can take our daughter! Oh my gosh, this has been so stressful, I've been listening to KROQ for 5 days straight, and calling every. single. time. between 9am-6pm. I'm so excited! I can't believe I get to see them TWICE this week. We've had a really crappy 2 years in my family, and we got great news yesterday about something that has been stressing us out, and now this. :laugh3:

[2015-11-21] TIDALXCOLDPLAY Presented by KROQ (Tonight 20:30 LA, 04:30 UK)
On KROQ this morning, Chris said they would be playing 4 new songs, and the set would be 12 songs. Too short imo, but I'm still doing everything I possibly can to win these!

From the Tidal contest where you need to submit your playlist, they are giving away 125 pairs. KROQ is giving away at least 140 pairs. Tidal has some other random contests too. But yeah, what about the other 1000+ tickets... I'm still trying to win. So frustrating because I keep getting through to KROQ but never the right caller. Last night, I was caller 1. Haha.

I got my tickets. I'm beyond excited since I've not had much luck with the TIDAL and I Heart Radio contests... My 25th show.:dance::dance:

I've gotten through so so many times, both with KROQ and Alt 98.7...the closest on KROQ was 18 out of 20, and on Alt 98.7, I was 95 out of 98. I'm getting through for about half of the cues, and I'm going to keep trying. The Alt 98.7/I Heart Radio show is Nov 19, at the I Heart Stage, probably the one in Burbank at the I Heart Radio studio... KROQ is giving away all week, and Alt 98.7 is giving away again on Thursday. I also keep checking 104.3 myFM and KIIS websites to see if they're giving away, as they are both I Heart Radio stations. Also entered all the Tidal twitter, Facebook and Instagram contests...

[2015-11-21] TIDALXCOLDPLAY Presented by KROQ (Tonight 20:30 LA, 04:30 UK)
KROQ Tidal show is at 8:30 pm PST Friday night. I have no idea when the iHeart Radio show is. I somehow don't think they're the same day because Alt 98.7 says their show is on the IHeart Radio Honda Stage. But who knows...

[2015-11-21] TIDALXCOLDPLAY Presented by KROQ (Tonight 20:30 LA, 04:30 UK)
I KNOW! KROQ on the hour between 9am and 6pm and Alt98.7 is at 15 min past the hour. So I listen to KROQ, call and call and call and don't win, then change the station to 98.7 and call and call and call and don't win. I HAVE gotten through to both many times but never the right caller. I am living my life to the radio these days... And the Internet feed is at least a minute off the radio broadcast, so I've got the radio on... Good luck!!

[2015-11-21] TIDALXCOLDPLAY Presented by KROQ (Tonight 20:30 LA, 04:30 UK)
Hoping I'm lucky soon because the stress of living my life to the radio for the next week will kill me. I even set the alarm on my phone for every hour in case I get distracted... Lol

How did you discover Coldplay?
I had heard Clocks on the radio a few times, and decided I wanted to see this band live. When I looked for tickets locally, they were sold out so I bought 2 on eBay. I saw them on August 20, 2005 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. And I was hooked. Beyond hooked. Crazy obsessed hooked. LOL Since then, I've been so so lucky to have seen them at just about every type of show possible - festival, amphitheater, stadium, arena, tiny intimate radio station live stream, tv show tapings, small club show, charity benefit, the Ghosts Stories dvd recorded shows. I've met them at organized events and unorganized. I've traveled the US coast to coast to see their shows. They are still my favorite band, and I'm really hoping AHFOD lives up to my expectations of these guys.

[06-DEC-2014] BMW Welt, Munich, GER
I got out my setlists...They played 21 songs for Mylo Xyloto tour. They played 24 songs during Viva tour. I don't understand whey they're paying 5-8 songs fewer these days.
