i was going to do this too! i even got as far as drawing the outline on paper, but i haven't written anything inside yet. and i left it at home yesterday when i packed to go back to college :angry:. i don't think i've ever really made anything coldplay, but there are butterflies on the wall over my bed in my dorm. and i always thought that if i broke my arm or something and got a cast, i would get a white cast and paint the VIVA thing on it :wacky:.

oooh, i love the cover! regardless of the MTF thing, i think it's pretty awesome. i love simplicity and nice clean lines.

i wore them when i was younger, mostly livestrong and make poverty history and like one or two others. i didn't really care whether they were "in" or not, i just thought it was kind of a cool way to support a charity. my brother still wears them, but i think they're mostly hockey-related, not really charity-related.

hahaha, balloons! it's a red X to me, but the red X distracted me :P i hope it's tuesday, because that would just be an awesome day if it happened on tuesday, with obama's inaugaration and all. then again, the boys themselves would probably be really distracted by the inaugaration anyway :lol:. anyway, it would be nice if i found out about england on the same day, or if two nie things happened on one day :nice:

i don't really get twitter either. kara's right, it's just facebook statuses to me. and while i don't mind facebook statuses on facebook, i don't really need them to be sent to my phone or whatver, thanks. my friend, who's a hardcore journalism student, thinks that twitter is the way of the future for breaking news, and apparently lots of people think that. i don't really get it, but apparently twitter has been around for a while and twitter was the first place that had news on the big tsunami in 2004? so i've heard, anyway. though i think i'll keep any eye on the coldplay one just for a bit. i'm not hopeful, but if it's the guys themselves actually updating it with random stuff, i'd be more interested than if it's just "NEW SINGLE OUT ON FEBRUARY 2" or whatever.

my handwriting's gone through a lot of manifestations; i think it just evolves over time and gets influenced from random places. but i think it would take a lot of effort to intentionally change your handwriting by a lot. most of the time i like my handwriting now, but some days it's just not up to snuff.

because the poll is going to close in like an hour, i bit the bullet and voted for briggs :uhoh:. no hard feelings to everyone else, but i've known briggins the longest and he's hysterical. and i wanted to shake things up by making the polls closer :P

^haha, that's definitely true! i plan to go to the bakery on my 20th birthday :wacky: and that's a good point too, about making debs go nuts if we did this project again...she's done so much for us already, i don't think we should push it :P. even when this whole project started i didn't want to have to ask debs for anything because i didn't want us to be a burden, but she was nice enough to go along with it, so i think doing another round would be asking a bit much. but i certainly plan to send them a bit more mail in the future, just on my own :D

i agree with lore, i don't think we should do this type of thing again as an organized project, but i think it's really nice to send postcards to them whenever you want :nice:. i'll probably send another next christmas just to be nice, but i think if we did this same thing again, it wouldn't be as cool, and it wouldn't be a surprise. @ alison: haha, i definitely realize that there are drunk teenagers in england too. the difference is that i won't be sharing a room with one over there, and lots of my personal dynamics will change, hopefully making it into a better year altogether.

it still exists somewhere, though, right? it wasn't deleted or merged? because someday i want to go back through the project creation process :wacky:. it's just that this one is more convenient to post in, and i'm the chief breaker of the "THIS THREAD IS FOR QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROJECT ONLY" rule :lol:

hahhaa, yay for this thread :nice:. i've forgotten all about the other one; i never feel like digging for it. @ alison: i'm just back at uni, which is probably my least favorite place in the world to be. i'm not ready to go back to doing work that i don't care about and waking up early and being away from home and living with a bunch of stupid drunk teenagers. i'm more depressed about it than i should be, but it's really getting me down. i don't know how much more of this i can handle :P. but YES, inaugaration tuesday and *hopefully* a postcards update this week. and i hope to find out that i'm officially going to england next year, too.

exactly, i think that's so genuinely coldplay. i bet most people that work for most bands would be like "ahh, sorry, no can do, too complicated, i do have a job to do, you know." but because of debs, this has grown to be the most awesome thing ever. i wish we could do more to thank her.

:stunned: those are the coolest things i've ever seen. you should go into business making them. most of my coldplay stuff is at home, so there's not much to show here besides a poster and my tshirts.

i wonder about this all the time too. i don't think they'll be completely forgotten, but unless they keep going and keep up the quality, i think they'll just be thought of as some popular band from the early 2000s that had some good songs and sold a lot of records, not a band that fits in the pantheon of the beatles and the rolling stones and U2. however, i also think that they are damn close to releasing their sargent pepper or joshua tree (in the minds of the critics...to me, that album is AROBTTH) and then they'll be able to get the proper respect that i think it takes to become part of the legendary rock cannon. of course, U2 and the beatles and everyone had/have their haters, but i feel like it's a bit stronger with coldplay, for some reason that i'll never understand. i think they need to be a bit more respected by everyone, though i think they're doing everything right, so i have no ideas on how they should do that. as much as i want them to be considered legendary, as long as they go on making music for a good while longer, it doesn't matter much to me, i guess. i really think they just need to keep going, though. then i think they have a good shot at making it into the cannon :wink:

awww, i'm listening to the MP3 now...his voice is a bit off, but how wonderful and pretty this is! :nice: i think that might be the first time i've ever really noticed chris play a very wrong note, though :lol: aww, coldplay really know how to cheer me up :D
