i want that book toooooo :wideeyed: i wonder why they used such an old picture? i bet they all had to agree on which one to use  ahh, i love phil :nice:. i need to watch this video more, but i'm currently glued to CNN. i think obama is the only thing that trumps a coldplay release :P

i do kind of wish that the guys were in it, though, as puppeteers or something. i think it would be funny because this is all stuff that they'd never do in real life, like smashing guitars, so it would be hilarious to see them giggling about making their puppet-selves to do it :P

How you see the world :-)
belgium makes me think of waffles and chocolate, and brussel sprouts :P. i've technically been to belgium, though only on a train through that stopped in brussels and antwerp on the way to paris from holland. australia makes me think of beaches, the accent, kangaroos, barbecues, finding nemo, vegemite, digeridoos, and the dusty outback. i want to go someday, so badly. sweden makes me think of snow and ikea, two things i love. that's another place i really want to go. also, all the liberal mindedness is quite attractive to me.

hahahaha, that was actually fabulous! i wasn't hopeful, but it turned out much better than i thought it would. i definitely cracked up. jonny smashing the guitar was the most hilarious part! but man, if that's guy berryman than i'm the queen of england :dozey:. the jonny and chris puppets were great, though :P and yay phil cameo as a camcorder-holding dad!

Happy "Obama Day"!!!!!
this is the most important day in my country's history in my lifetime, in much longer than that, i daresay. i can't tell you how proud i am to be an american, for one of the first times in my life. i know some people have always been proud, but i haven't been. today that ended, and i hope so many more american follies and problems and mistakes will begin to end as well. it makes me so happy to see the entire world celebrating and feeling just as excited and hopeful as we all are here. i bet that's the quietest the entire world's been in a long time, while he was making that miraculous speech. i bet most cell phones didn't ring and most crimes ceased. i don't think there was a dry eye in the social hall in my uni, where we were all watching. YES WE DID. help is just around the corner for us. (and HI TRACY!! :cheesy:)

19-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
hahaha, but does an american squee sound much different than a british squee?  i wouldn't think the american twang would come into play with that word :P ohmygoodness, can't wait. i did have an awful thought, yesterday: at the end of september, i'm moving from london to norwich, but i'm not sure of the exact date. if it's september 19, i'm going on a rampage. of course, i wouldn't let that stop me from going, but it might take some clever scheduling and some good convincing of my program coordinator if it's the 19th. the way my life works, moving day WILL be the 19th, but believe me, i'll make it work if it's the last thing i do. [/blabbing]

Random Coldplay thoughts...
i set my alarm to wake me up to "viva la vida," and it made the first day of classes seem a bit less awful :nice:. i love these guys, they're sometimes the only thing that can make me feel better.

Chris and Jonny
can you imagine us telling THAT story on the board the day after?! "OMG, chris and jonny fell right on me!" "i stole jonny's hat!" "i have part of chris's shirt!" "i have cells of jonny skin under my fingernails!" well, i certainly wouldn't mind if they fell right on us that day :sneaky:
-
Ask them one question?
same :nice:. i'd kill to work for them in some form (preferably a form with occasional band-contact :P) a few months ago i would have asked them what their favorite songs that they've ever written were, but i got ben jones to ask them that on virgin radio, so i got my answers to that one :P. i guess if i had the time, i would have gone on to ask them which songs they wished they'd left off albums or never released at all, or ask more specific questions about certain songs.

Chris and Jonny
awww mich! this is adorable :nice: man, chris really can beat up on him onstage, and yet he still keeps on playing . someday chris is going to overjump, though, and knock them both straight into the audience. and then they will be mauled by fangirls. ohhh, to be crushed by jonny and chris...
-
Gwyneth...
hahaha, good point about the ring resizing :P. chris was wearing that black bit of tape or whatever, presumably to keep it on before it disappeared all together. and i loved that iron man premiere outfit she wore in that photo :nice:. ok, the dress is a bit too short for my liking (and even if she does have a nice ass or whatever, i don't think she should really be showing it to the entire world ), but i thought she looked great there, especially her hair.

[Airing:2nd] 29-Jan-09: Chris Martin at XFM - Ian Camfield show - 3.30pm (GMT)
^i don't think playing one french awards show and one UK radio station in the span of a month means he's overbooking himself at the expense of his kids and family, necessarily . ooh, so YAY! this seems awesome...too bad i'm not in england yet and too bad i'll prbably be in class when this is broadcasted, but that's what the lovely recording programs are fore--i'm sure some nice coldplayer will do it :D

Gorillas!!
gorillas actually really scare me :uhoh:

Obama's Inauguration anyone???
we have 5 HBO channels at college here, but none of them were the right one showing the concert . or maybe my friend just lied to me when she told me they were replaying the concert at 7PM. anyway, here at college, they canceled classes from 11:45 to like 2 or something so everyone can watch the inauguration :wacky:. i got out for the day at 11:45 anyway, but i thought that was nice and uncharacteristic of them to do.

Twitter
^is everyone turning into mark, or am i just imagining things? :P hmm, well i just checked wiki (not that that's always right), and it says it was started in 2006, not 2004. i bet my friend was wrong; wouldn't be the first time.

Obama's Inauguration anyone???
aww, that's great, zoe :nice:. my friend went too, but i don't know where she was or anything--she goes to american university down there. i would have loved to see U2! i think if chris hadn't done the NRJ thing in france, and if they didn't need a vacation so badly, coldplay probably would have been there :wacky:

Rate the latest movie you've seen
slumdog millionaire, 11/10. (well, ok, that's a bit generous, but i loved it more than any movie i've seen in a long time). i saw it twice, and now all i want to do is see it again.
