brilliant! i'm in NL too for a while, and it seems like every train station has a coldplay ad! this was at amsterdam centraal: and rotterdam centraal: i didn't have anyone to take a pic of me with it, though , at least withouth having to explain myself first :sad:.

this picture reminds me of how effing hot it was that day. i've never sweated that much just standing in once place before, but the guys must have been dyyyying up there. especially in longsleeves and jackets.

today at 9AM, i was walking to an art museum in rotterdam (which was CLOSED, grr), when i heard a certain distinctive voice waft over the dijk...some construction worker was blasting "speed of sound" out of some backhoe or something! :dance: then, later today, there was construction going on in three different parts of my house here. all the workers happened to have their radios tuned to the same station...so when "in my place" came on it was like it was playing through the entire house! :D :nice:

i call the album VLVOD and the song VLV. end of story.

the red VLV one is definitely more red than maroon like it is in the picture, and it runs a little big FYI ;) hopefully when i get back to america, my pink heart one will be waiting :dance:

I WAS IN THAT EXACT STORE THREE WEEKS AGO. MUFFINS. i basically live in the store next door to that and across the street too...AHHHHH why am i never there when the martins are?! :P :bigcry:

ahhhh that's sooo great! that sounds like something i would do, and something my mom would walk in on and make fun of me for :lol: i just wish you could have taken a picture! oh man, you know what i JUST thought of? when i had the paints out and made my netherlands painting yesterday that you saw, i should have tried to do the VLV logo instead! *smacks head* well, another day :P also, one of the kids that i'm looking after here is 12. these kids live a rather...sheltered life and are treated like they're younger than they are. i think at the right moment, i'm going to ask the 12-year-old if he listens to any music (i doubt he does, though i did see a CD player in his luggage yesterday), and if he does, what he listens to. then i'll casually steer the conversation to me making music suggestions, namely coldplay. because really, what ELSE out there would be that wholesome and appropriate for his picky parents? :D

i agree with pretty much everything except the last bit about them using it when it's convenient. i think that's total coincidence. i think they're perfectly right to keep their private lives private, but i don't think that means NEVER being photographed together either. i understand chris not going to the red carpet things (god, imagine him there...the clothes would be mortifying :P), but a casual snap together once in a while would do wonders for them, i think. that's not to say that they would never be bothered again, but i think the paps would get *slightly* less cutthroat about it all. i think this is mostly more chris than gwyneth, and i understand that he's one of those people that has a problem controlling himself sometimes, especially when it's his family involved, but i think he should maybe just see that making it all less of a big secret makes it somewhat less interesting for all the paps and tabloids out there. i'm not saying go brangelina, but i think there has to be a happy medium. i also think he's not doing himself any favors by talking more about personal things only with certain reporters. i would have a problem with that myself. i would think that you get on better with certain reporters and like certain publications better, so you're more willing to say certain things to them, but if he talks a bit more about gwyneth to one magazine, all the others start drooling and think it's ok to ask the questions that piss him off when they come from other people and publications. then he gets all huffy and gets those bad comments which give him the bad reputation...etc etc. anyway, my point is that i think gwyneth handles the whole "talking about personal things" well: gives tidbits of info that make people laugh while not revealing too much or having her kids grow up in the public eye. something tells me she wouldnt freak so much at a picture or two with chris, either :D

i was too young and stupid to be around to experience my favorite coldplay era. granted, sometimes 10 is slightly young to get really into a small indie-ish band, but still. if i cared more i could have found them then :P sometimes i feel a bit lame that it took me till X&Y to really love them. i guess 15 is pretty good though :D better than the beatles which i missed by exactly 40 years.

i think it would be slightly weirder if you were about 50 when i was 23. or not weirder, but more depressing for you or whatever you want to call it :lol: :P oh, i forgot to say: fan since may 2005, when i was 15 :D
