yeahh, i'm on the edge of my seat too. but does that mean that we'll be getting an answer around 3PM EST? i would think there needs to be a significant amount of time for ian to make his final decisions...hmm. goodness, this is almost WORSE than waiting for MSG answers! the fact that i "know" the person awarding the passes makes me slightly more hopeful, but i just can't get my hopes up. it'll be too crushing later on.

he's really said "that's it" after this decade? all the quote's i've read regarding that didn't seem that conclusive to me. to me, it seemed like he said that they were going to finish off the decade with another album and then do something even MORE different. i'll have to relisten to some of the interviews that he said that in, but i honestly can't remember ever reading or hearing that they were going to give it up entirely after 5 albums. i just thought it might be an extra-long wait after LP5.

dammit :P i'm just hoping lots of them are brand-new noobs with crap reasons :D

"...have already mapped out their career endgame"? :stunned: if that's true, i think my heart just broke. however, i don't think that they mean that the career endgame is LP5 that's supposedly coming out next year. personally, i get the impression that they're thinking beyond that, at least one more LP, but...the fact that they have their career mapped out makes me think it's not that far off :bigcry: of course, it could just be one of their stupid things again, but phil said it, not chris...

i haven't, but i have all my fingers and toes crossed for the today show VIP passes, so...we'll have to see then :sneaky: i half really want to meet them, half don't. i feel like i know what i'd say to them if i got the chance, and i'd love to get the chance to tell them how much they mean to me, but really, it's not like they don't hear that all the time. i'd just be the millionth fan saying the same thing, so what's the point? i also would hate to catch them in a bad mood or something, because i'd hate to think i was bothering them, and i'd be pretty stung if i just got a rebuff. in that sense, i don't know. i mean, i'd NEVER pass up the chance to meet them, but i'd be terrified about it. fingers crossed for friday...

my friend went, but didn't invite me because he thought i was in europe already :bigcry: he was sitting RIGHT where they played "yellow" and "if death will ever conquer me" from, and took this cell phone pic: needless to say, i'm beyond jealous. it's almost painful.

its interesting, because if you google "coldplay +daily show +june 26," you get quite a few hits (ignore the first two that correspond to this thread ;)). of course, neither are from coldplay.com or thedailyshow.com :dozey: i guess we'll know soon, but the fact that the 25th is empty is interesting...

what the hell?! i was SO looking forward to this... i think some serious investigation is in order...

(for all of you who might not know, "biddies" is a slang and rather derogatroy term for "hot chicks"). i just about keeled over laughing. soo, if any girls around the age of 15 win...:P

ahh well, i'd want the real CD myself too, since this one, while seemingly great quality, requires you to turn it all the way up. personally. i'd want a normal version too, but that's just me :D. but yay for CD being included!

oooh, i wonder if my amazon-ordered version will come with the CD...?

if this was only a democratic process...:P if i win this by some chance, i'll make a coldplaying poster that we can all wave, though i'm sure everyone else has the same idea :D now someone HAS to record this, no question. lots will be on the today show website, but i don't think all. no matter who wins, we're all going to want to see our fellow coldplayers up there representing us all! :dance:

commence me pulling out my hair until wednesday. oh goodness, this is NOT going to be good. i'm a basket case already :P of course i get to go either way, but...seeing a coldplay mini-concert, front row, with COLDPLAYERS? with *possible* BAND INTERACTION?! i can't imagine anything better. nothing at all. haha, and that night, i have tickets to see pearl jam back in CT, and the very next day, i fly to london and then to amsterdam. what a week!

my best friend just broke my heart. a few weeks ago, he called to tell me that his girlfriend won MSG tickets, but couldn't go, so because they were IDing people, she had to give them up. i sighed and said "oh well," even though if she just left a photo ID behind, i look vaguely like her, but she already gave them up, so i figured they were done for. so ten minutes ago, he texted me saying he was at MSG. i texted back saying i didn't belive him, and then he called me and said he was there and got his sister to tell me that he was there because i still wouldn't belive him. the clincher: he thought i left for europe LAST saturday as opposed to THIS COMING saturday, and he would have invited me instead of his sister if he hadn't been a moron and forgotten the date i leave. AGHHHHHHH, I'M SO SAD. i drove by MSG/NYC today on my way home from long island and gave a sad wave...:bigcry:

sadly, i kind of like apple. i mean, i wouldn't name MY daughter apple, and i think it's much more suitable for a little girl than for a full-grown person, but...i do like it :D though just perhaps not for a celebrity kid. they're already singled-out; a name that pretty much no one else has makes it worse for them. i'm not saying that chris and gwyneth SHOULDN'T have named their kids how they wanted, i'm just saying it's something i would personally take into account. however, no brittanys or emilys for me, ever :P
