i thought it was kind of funny today when i was listening to the recording of the zane lowe interview and they said that one guy managed to find the bakery by accident, and that he's still locked up in there :P. let's hope jamie's not stuck in there now, and that semy and i don't join him in august :D

still no VLVOD for me :bigcry: the town that i'm currently in on vacation doesn't have a single store that sells CDs, besides cases of blank ones at the drug store. while i have the music...i want the actual CD like, now. at least the vinyl will be waiting on my doorstep when i get home,. and i'm hoping to find it on friday when i go a bit more towards civilization. in other news, i'm currently in east hampton, as i said before. my mom's convinced she found chris martin and gwyneth paltrow's house here, simply because "the only people that could afford a place like that are a rock star and a movie star" :rolleyes:. i bet their house is hidden away very nicely, and even so, i have no desire to stalk them even if they were here. stalking someone while they're on vacation? eeek, that's just creepy to me. if i saw one of them walking down the road, i might say "hello, chris!" but i'd never bother them at a restaurant or while on the beach. i'm a huge fan, but i'm not a creeper :P

oooh, i want that red one...i'm even contemplating ordering it NOW so it'll get here in time for the today show. i was planning to make a very similar one, but white with the VLV logo in red, which looked revoltingly like blood. this seems to be the better option to me! yeah, i think i'm going to do it :D

i don't think i'll be picking mine up until friday or so :bigcry: i mean, its not THAT big of a deal because i have the leak and all, but i waaaaant my cddddd :sad: well, by monday night i'll have my vinyl, and by tuesday at the latest i'll have my CD.

i'm currently on vacation in east hampton, long island, NY, where chris and gwyneth now have a house. don't worry, they're not here NOW or anything, but i went to a pretty famous restaurant tonight and in their menus they have a list of famous people that have eaten there with a few quotes and pictures that they took. and GUESS who was brand-new on the list this year? :P it made me giggle a bit because it's a pretty low-key place that's mostly famous for burgers and seafood, and i couldn't really imagine the entire martin/paltrow family sitting on one of the benches eating fried food, but it was still kind of funny. i bet apple and moses enjoyed it, at least. i took a picture of the menu with my cell phone because i'm that much of a geek, but it didn't come out.

will this be available on the "listen again" option on the BBC site? i'm going to be in a car for 5 hours the entire time :sad:. this is a time i would have learned to record myself, but i physically can't be at a computer. anyone else planning to record?

i kind of really wonder which bandmember was the one that faked a broken ankle to get off work for a month and then had to keep keys in his shoe to remind him to limp. i'm thinking either guy or chris, but guy is my first guess :P

the problem with keeping it on your body is metal detectors/wands, which almost every place uses these days, or at least around here they do. its much easier for girls to smuggle them in because of purses, which they rarely thoroughly search.

haha, well you might not have to go THAT far... i say point and shoot in a compact black case near the bottom of your bag should do it. i've only done it once, but it was fine. it helps if the inside of your bag is black as well as the case, or better yet, put the camera inside that inner zippy pocket most womens purses have. they never look in there.

i agree that it's ridiculous and that it DOES hurt record sales, and i don't understand why it happens this way all the time. at the same time, though, its not THAT big of a deal, especially since it leaked. even if it didn't leak, we would still have heard it in this interim period because nice japanese/UK/european friends would have leaked it by now. yeah, it's annoying to wait for the physical CD, but the music is the point of it all, and we already have that part of it. the rest is just gravy. i think it's fine if you're waiting for the official release to listen to it, but if you are, then don't complain about the gap in release time, because you can very easily remedy the problem.

i still have my fingers crossed for strawberry swing as a single too, but we'll see. if they do the grammys, i think it'll be LIJ or lost!, maybe.

i always thought that he was saying the word "JUST," as in "don't you wanna/ just curve away." personally, i like it better that way, but that's just me :D i listened to this song on high volume to try and catch this (when i did, i realized i noticed it before but thought it was the "just" thing...yadda ya), and when i did, i noticed for the first time that there's some indechipherable chatter in the biginning even after the music starts! how did i miss that before?

the part that gets me is the first real zombie they come across, that girl mary in the garden, when she falls on that patio umbrella stand and gets impailed. puncturing of the skin is what REALLY weirds me out, and that's like a puncture on toast, its so extreme.

something tells me that i could have found it if i did a really extensive search of my area, but i didn't have the time or energy this week :sad:. orrrr i could have begged shelf stockers at various places...i wouldn't be at all surprised if the boxes of CDs were just sitting in the storerooms.

yeah, i'm the most squeamish person alive, but all the gore is so fake and so overblown that to me, it's really not that gross. frankly, even though there was less frequent gore in hot fuzz, i found that to be MUCH more stomach turning.
