  1. i'm of the same mind, as much as i hate to admit it. i figure if it's going to be feb/march, we would have more info right now than we have. i'm not giving up all hope, though. i don't think there's a law saying when they have to give info to the public, so maybe theyre just being...really secretive? (and tortuing the crap out of me in the process). anybody know about when they told us the name and release date of X&Y? i know the date was pushed back and all, but perhaps it would be helpful to know when they first told us about it?
  2. ohhhhhh jude law. ditto to what everyones said about his hottness. ohhhh my god. i've always thought that jude and chris look somewhat similar (though chris is more adorable while jude is more undeniably drop-dead gorgeous), so this makes me laugh a little in that sense. i mean, theyre not identical, but...similar. tee hee.
  3. excuses, excuses :D. i never look well :P
  4. yeah, annie, now that you've seen ME i need to see a picture of you where i can actually SEE you!
  5. oh, and i dont know if this counts as a resolution, per se, but i forgot a big goal: see coldplay at least twice!! once with daaaaamn good tickets and/or backstage passes. (assuming the american leg of the upcoming tour occurs in 2008. if its in 2009 i can wait, as long as the freaking ALBUM is out in 2008).
  6. ^^aren't they just great at that? before coldplay, nothing was ever really able to make much of a difference in my moods except the thing i was upset about actually changing. even for a while after falling in love with coldplay i didnt believe that even they could make much of a difference, but one day i tried it and it was incredible. live 2003 (particularly the tour diary) really does the trick for me...i get distracted with how adorable they all are in addition to the incredibly uplifting music. aaaaaand i still come to this thread way too much
  7. i tend to come up with them around march and completely forget them by this time of year. usually i just make them because i feel like i might as well rather than actually WANTING to, because i really am quite happy with myself. though i really really should exercise more. OK, so this year's is: GO TO THE GYM. my dorm will be quite near it, so i've really got to make an effort.
  8. this made my day :nice:
  9. ^but arent those the best?? then you can get whatever you want! gift cards (what theyre called in america) are one of my favorite things to get. i had a really unusually great christmas. and i have a brand-spanking new HDTV in my room, so i'm all set for a while :D (unless coldplay wants to tell us when the album's coming out...:sneaky:)
  10. ugh, i have sleep issues as well. i find that a playlist i've made of quiet, nice music helps a lot. TV usually is the worst thing for me. reading is good, as most other people have said, but i find that if there's any way of reading on the COMPUTER, that helps tremendously. i do a lot of writing, so i have quite a few options, but something about reading a long bit of text on a backlit screen makes your eyes really tired and makes you feel exhausted. at least it does for me! hope that helps!
  11. it was originally posted by sylvia on page 1783 of this thread! i loved it too because it was similar to another one we got a few months ago (must have been taken seconds apart) and that he's SMILING, which we didnt see much of at the time. though i'm a fan of his slightly longet hair...think the "talk" video. we need some curls!
  12. haha, no breakfast show, but it IS in greyscale and it has a lot of similar type shots of the cities passing them by and various interviews and them in cars etc. and random snippets of stuff from TV broadcasts or whatever. the radiohead one was much more...out-there, but the similarities hit me right away.
  13. i got the radiohead documentary meeing people is easyfor xmas, and after watching it, ive realized that its whole style is quite similar to the live 2003 tour diary. i mean, live 2003 is more...visually coherent and easier to follow and all, but i wonder if the similarities were intentional. it's kind of freaky, to me anyway. even though the feel is different (MPIE is really a downer while L2003 is quite happy and uplifting and cute), the styles are almost right on.
  14. sims2 ROCKS. i'm glad i'm not the only one that was slow. i was driving home from a christmas party when i figured it out and i just cracked up. i ran on here ASAP after doing christmas with my family just in case my dream was right and coldplay decided to put up some album info as an extra-special christmas prezzie, but alas, no. it was a VERY radiohead christmas for me, though: a cd and 2 dvds!
  15. yeah, im personally thinking march at the earliest. theyre still mixing, which takes a while, and then theyve got to PRODUCE the damn things (like, actually CREATE the physical CDs in a factory and all the artwork etc etc, which would take like a month at least i would think). and in america, albums and DVDs are almost ALWAYS released on a tuesday pretty much without exception (in my experience, anyway), just as movies are usually released on a friday. so that kind of rules out chris's birthday. i dont really think theyd do that anyway, even if it would be cute. totally sudden, random thought: if it is actually going to be out probably between march and august sometime, do you think theyre getting ready to film the first music video?? i bet so.
  16. ^oh my god, its already christmas in australia... so i read this article earlier this afternoon, and it took me about 6 hours to completely get it. i was thinking like "a vaccum cleaner really isnt that crappy of a gift from anyone...why does it suck?" and then it clicked...vaccum cleaners...suck...his gifts do actually SUCK THINGS UP. oh man. i can really be slow sometimes. but like others have said, perhaps its not the most thrilling present, but getting a present from chris martin is a thrill in itself.
  17. i had a dream last night that it was christmas day and in a spare minute i checked coldplay.com. and even though theyd already given us the xmas video...there was a NEW STAR telling us album info. it was like a video with them talking...i dont really remember it all that much but wouldnt that just be the best if by some freakish stroke of christmas luck things happened that way?! like an amazingly perfect bonus gift. ohhh god. also, my friend stopped by a few minutes ago to give me my xmas present, part of which were FAIR TRADE chocolates! (she knows im quite into the whole MTF thing because of coldplay). it was quite nice.
  18. ahhh! i've never seen that one before! its incredible. thanks SO much! i love to see him smile these days. or like 2 months ago. whatever.
  19. ohhh my god, i cant believe people write articles about celebrities APPLIANCES. this is what the world is coming to. all the same...:laugh1: and if he's buying one for himself, i sincerely doubt that one of the others is for gwyneth. if they start using this as "evidence" in their supposed "rough patch" (though the press seems to be pretty much over that) then we know the worlds gone bezerk.
  20. ahhhhh, nowwwww i get it!! ok, that really is funny!! though i cant say that synonym exists in america... :laugh1: thanks for the explanation
  21. deffi the cheesey one. cheese and the word "cheese" both make me laugh, so i cant really pass that one up. god, i'm insane.
  22. i must say that i was kind of hoping the pornstache had died. at least it got tamed a little, as did his hair. he could have mounted it on a plaque or something, but im a fan of his lighter stubble.
  23. thats true. because if they get rid of atmosphericness (atmosphere?) AND riffs/hooks, i think they might be straying dangerously close to being un-coldplay. and i dont think any of us want that. i forgot to mention "trouble" in that list. and "in my place." and a whole host of others, but really you canNOT go without mentioning those two. its like sacreligious.
  24. ohhh, i fogot to include falling in love with radiohead on my list of good things! that was DEFINITELY a plus! other than that, though, this has been the least musical year i've had in a while. which was pretty sad.
  25. ...i always snoop one or two. i'm bad, i know. but i already recieved one of the presents i found (i wore it to an xmas party today...a nice skirt), and the other was a calendar. but my mom's really got to be more creative with the hiding places: its just a big cardboard box on the floor of her closet. she knows quite well that i know where it is, too. ah, well. we're too old to have it really matter much anymore.
