  1. i'm not an adventurous cheese person. mozzerella, cheddar, american...thats about it. though i has something with gorgonzolla in it the other day and it was rather good...and even though asiago stinks its pretty good when mixed with cheddar... i love cheese. best with macaroni. favorite food ever. cheese is also a rather funny word...
  2. true, true :P. but he hasn't really been that publicly cheeky in most things before, i think you've got to admit that. he was always adorable and funny, but now he's being a bit more zany in front of the camera or whatever, and i think its adorable.
  3. i'm really in love with his beautiful everything ;) those two are my faves. i also like the fact that he's wearing a john lennon tshirt in the second one :)
  4. ^good to know, thanks! i get the same impression. well, i trust them. but atmospheric is kind of my thing... i also like really good riffs, like the ones in "clocks," "speed of sound," "GPASUYF" etc. i hope theyve got at least ONE song with a good hook like that on there. theyre so brilliant at it.
  5. even though the previous one was definitely cuter, i gotta love the new coldplaying banner because its so true. pretty much the only thing i want for christmas is the new album. i know that's not happening, but stillllllll. pretty much the only physical thing i want in the world right now is the new coldplay album!
  6. when did will say that this was the least atmospheric album?? this makes me a bit sad because their atmospheric-ness is what got me into them in the first place, and almost all of the bands and songs i love are at the very least a little atmospheric. that said, i'm pretty much up for anything as long as they stay true to who they are and dont stray too far from their core genre of "very hard soft rock" (or whatever chris calls it on the myspace; myspace makes my IE crash so i cant check). i dont want an X&Y 2.0 either, even though its a pretty great album. it's just not great for coldplay. i said "AROBTTH will still rock" because i dont think anything can ever really top that for me. i hope to be pleasantly surprised, but still. i dont really ever expect that to be bumped from my #1 album of all time (though parachutes is very very close). i cant wait to see what they come up with, either, from a curiosity point of view, but i'm just worried i'm not personally going to love the direction they're headed in and that my love for them will wane.
  7. wasnt mr buckland particularly adorable in the 2007 xmas message?? i loved how he was the only one acting anything but deadpan. he seems to be coming out of his shell...and he's probably still giddy over being a new daddy. oh, and that smile he gave at the end made my WEEK, i think :dead:
  8. ok, totally random, but i'm the SAME way. i'm an aspiring writer as well (i'm also going to college for it) and...its just nice to hear that someone has similar habits as mine. people generally think i'm a nutjob for not letting anyone read any of my stuff. and i can never handle short stories: too constricting. ANYWAY, 2007's been alright for me, pretty average despite some milestones: getting into college(s), graduating, getting a pretty good job in the downtime between high school and college (starting college next month! :stunned:), getting a car and a lisence, writing my first screenplay and hacking away at a big story i'm working on... but all in all it hasn't been very exciting, at least on the outside. then again, i'm not one for a hell of a lot of excitement. at least not traditional excitement. it seemed to be a shit year for a lot of people and the world in general, and despite the fact that i've been dreading 2007 since 1997 (i didnt want to graduate; long-ass story), it turned out much less traumatic and heartwrenching than i expected.
  9. ...not quite sure what's so hilarious about that phrase, but maybe i'm being thick. :laugh1: anyway!
  10. i've been home for SEVEN MONTHS. my university didn't accept me until january basically because there isn't enough room in the dorms, so i was forced to take a term off. i've had a brilliant time and am quite good at entertaining myself, but now that all my friends are back for christmas and the new year, they're constantly whining that theyre bored and haven't got anything to do. i suppose most people need more stimulation than i do, so they're calling me all the time begging to do something because they're going to tear out their hair. i think our generation just has a problem knowing what to do with ourselves in unstructured time :laugh1:
  11. good question, because i'd kill to get the official instrumentals like we've got the AROBTTH ones. i was fairly disappointed when i downloaded the X&Y ones and realized they were session musicians and not the boys.
  12. i think chris might have gotten a bit shirty because this seems to be the thing that he and gwyneth (and most other celebrities with kids) are trying to AVOID: having their kids be too comfortable with strangers because theyre always followed around by them. i mean, if apple is comfortable going up to some random shopkeeper and chatting, someday she could go up to the wrong person who could recognize her and kidnap her or whatever. along with a whole host of other reasons that have already been mentioned, of course. awww, i can just imagine chris and apple inside the movie theater....so cute. and those ballet pics: i think apple is looking more and more like a perfect mix between chris and gwyneth these days! moses not so much, at least not yet.
  13. *adding MP3 to my christmas playlist* awwwwww, how cute they are! jonnys smile at the end made my day. no release date...sigh. but this is great too!!
  14. ^yeah, i only have a burned copy of parachutes! i figure i should eventually buy the official CD for the hell of it. but i do have the official vinyl, so i assume that counts for something. jeeeez, the one day in like 6 months that i DONT come here, the xmas message is up! theyre soooo adorable. it seems to be that whenever i have a sleepover with my friends and we stay up all night and i drive home in a groggy haze late the next morning, "the scientist" always comes up on my ipod and seems so fitting. not really the words, but the music. i dont know, thats totally toally random, but its true. its happened at least four times, and every time i'm driving along and thinking "wow, what perfect music for this morning." happened again today.
  15. AHHHHH i dont come here for more than 24 hours and its up! soooo cute! god i love them. things like this are the reason that theyre my favorite band in the world (BESIDES the music, of course). theyre so freaking adorable...*squee* jonny's smile at the end is all i needed for christmas, i think. GOD HE'S SO CUTE. :D :santa:
  16. i'd give up my desire to be alone most of the time. i mean, i like people, but...i just really enjoy spending time by myself. i think its going to get really annoying at college when people are always going out etc...and i'm just going to want to stay in my room and be on coldplaying!
  17. you can name a kid whatever you want, as many people, especially celebrities (including chris and gwyneth) have proven. i mean, jason lee's daughter is named PILOT INSPEKTOR RIESGRAF LEE. i think that's just about proof that you can get away with whatever you like. apple and moses are conventional compared to THAT. i mostly believe the whole violet thing because it sounds like something i'd imagine jonny to name his daughter: conventional and pretty, but not too trendy or overused. its quite plausable in my mind. i kind of hope they dedicate the next album to all their kids, even if its just like "for A, M, N, A, and V." i think that would be adorable.
  18. awww god i love him. he's just so incredible...working like mad on the new album AND plumbing on the side for CHARITY. i would marry him in an instant if i could. i wish he'd come to do my plumbing... (erm, that sounds vaguely dirty. i mean ACTUAL plumbing, with metal pipes and sinks and the like :laugh1: well, i suppose either...oh god).
  19. everything that i buy in the months of november or december i excuse as a birthday or christmas present for myself. its kind of a problem. this year it was a rather expensive coat, the in rainbows discbox, a radiohead t-shirt, some slippers...oy vey :stunned:
  20. the sad part is that i knew exactly what the question entailed when i hovered my mouse over the thread title. im chalking it up to having lots of friends that are teenage guys and seeing a few too many stupid movies. ohhhhh god.
  21. oh i thought you were waiting until the new album CAME OUT to listen to coldplay. does that mean youll listen to it once we get a date? if thats true, i hope that wont be very long!! i still could never do what youre doing. i half admire you, half think youre crazy :P (just kidding) i put the CD in my car stereo again today, and it was fine. whaaaatever. i listened to X&Y instead yesterday (taking a break from pablo honey and in rainbows, which have both been welded to my stereo since october), but i must say after listening to them both in a row like that a)X&Y is a good album for any other band, but for coldplay it just wasnt up to par and b) AROBTTH is better to drive to. and sing along to: i cant go nearly as high as chris does in X&Y. "daylight" is more my range :P
  22. haha, about them being members here...ive always liked to believe that they come here on occasion and read stuff when theyve got nothing better to do. and i bet hosts of people on the inside read things there and tell them about what goes on, like "god, you wont believe what theyre guessing the album title is!" or "chris, they love the haircut." who knows if im right, but i like to think that SOMEHOW the general gist of what goes on here gets back to them. they do KNOW about the place (according to debs...and really, how could they NOT given how cool and big this place is?) so whoever's on the inside that's reading this: TELL THE GUYS TO GIVE US LP4 NEWS AS SOON AS THEY HAVE IT!!
  23. ummm...it's "in my place." :D
  24. in both "i ran away" and "warning sign" there's like this really faint almost chorus-sounding noise, especially in the vocal-less end guitar part in "i ran away" and the "when the truth is...i miss you" part in "warning sign." i dont know how to describe it, really, but its like this very long, drawn out "ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" atmospheric sound thats almost like a very large chorus of women providing faint background vocals. you all probably think i'm insane now after that attempted description, but i'd really like to know what that effect is if you can tell what i'm talking about. its probably a synthesizer or something else like that, but...does anybody have any idea what i'm talking about? i also only realized that there's a piano in "green eyes" when i heard the instrumental version! i caught a hell of a lot of stuff like that listening to the AROBTTH instrumentals.
  25. arrrgh, they taunt us with LAST years on the official site...i really hope this means the next post will be the 2007 christmas prezzie. i kind of just want to know whether its going to contain info on the album or not. and of course i want to ENJOY it as well...
