i think i'm just a conservative poster...ive been here two years (well, two years in february) and i just broke 1000 last week! when i first came here i thought i would be this annoying noob if i posted too much, so i didnt. and even now that ive branched out (slightly :rolleyes:) to the lounge and the world of music forums, i still just READ what everybody else says more than i post. i think im just the sort whose posts are far between, but when i do say somehting, my posts are dense paragraphs of text (like this one is becoming...) i still look at people that have over like, 5000 and think "my GOD, ill never get there at this rate!" and im ok with that. but now that my post count is in the 3-digits, i do feel slightly more...senior around here :)

if i could i would live in sweatpants/pajama pants. but jeans are good too. i dont object to wearing skirts and i have quite a lot, but i dont wear them very often. i think its because i dont like my legs. though i am wearing one to various xmas parties... and i love buying dresses...but its too much effort to do myself up to go along with it. i did it for christmas ball and prom once a year and i'm done. :P

i've never been to an actual real church service before that wasn't like part of a wedding or something. my mom's a HUGE athiest and my dad's indifferent, so i've never been. but i went to a mandatory chapel service at my school once a week for 13 years...but it was more just talking about religion than a service. our most recent pastor was really cool though--he played U2 and the rolling stones and death cab for cutie and stuff. he SAID he was going to play coldplay once (mainly because of my suggestion :rolleyes:) but he never did. i feel like i have my own brand of religion, one that doesnt have any relationship with a defined church. but the chapel at my old school is one of my favorite places in the world...

^haha, thanks! i've kind of always had a strange attraction to those houses, even before i got into radiohead. i saw them on a friend's t-shirt and i thought they were really cool and interesting. now that i have a whole CD of artwork using them i'm quite happy. but i thought they needed a litttle dressing up for christmas :D

i do too :D i've been having some fun with photoshop lately per their suggestion. my new avatar is the lamest of my efforts, i must admit :P

oh its just radiohead being radiohead :) it refers to the artwork and the photos on the CDs but its in their strange typing style with omitted spaces. for some reason it wont let me keep that in here.

could be. i actually do think it's jonny...it doesnt sound like chris (almost too low) and will has a pretty high voice. i think will does the "oooh" part (or chris double-tracked), but there's like this really faint deep sort of hum that i bet is jonny. same with "amsterdam," but that i'm less sure about :\ and it's definitely jonny in "daylight" because none of the others can go that low!! its almost too low for me to hear (i'm hearing impaired)! i hope the other three sing a bit more on the next album. i was kind of disappointed to find out that only chris and will sing the end of "fix you" on the record even though they all sing it live. i love a whole band singing together :)

^yeahhhhh, he really doesnt get my obsession with music :rolleyes: i severely misjudged the bonus disc when i first listened to it, and i really really liked it then!! now i can hardly listen to anything else. theyre incredible on every front. and the "readme" included on the CD cracks me up.

^i highly doubt theyre going to give a source because the source is most likely photoshop at their IP address... (i think that's correct use of "IP address"... :confused: :rolleyes:)

yes, but at least as a kid you KNOW when christmas is!! you have an advent calendar to tell you or whatever. right now im suffering from not having the proverbial advent calendar for the coldplay album :laugh1: i know, i know, here i go again about my impatience... :P as for the AROBTTH cover...im constantly trying to figure out if its one of the guys like the single covers are. but the single covers are so easy to figure out that i assume its not based on one of them.

^are we sure its jonny?? i never really knew if it was jonny/will/guy or if they just multi-tracked chris's voice. same with the background vocals on "amsterdam." i kind of hope its the others, though--i love it when they sing.

does anybody have the pics that are in the new wintery-themed banner at the top of all the pages? i actually have the main one of chris with his hands on his head (so maybe this isnt the thread to be asking in :confused:), but if anyone has the others i'd kill to have them! theyre ADORABLE!

you can also go to www.ticketmaster.com and search for "coldplay" and then click the "my alerts" button next to their picture. youll get emailed when they announce dates! (but i dont know if this works anywhere but america, mostly because you have to enter a zip code...) other than that, YES, stay around here and check the news page and the official site like EVERY DAY!

^that's true. and like someone said before, coldplay always does something really unique. well, ok, maybe not parachutes, but AROBTTH was definitely different (im still not exactly sure WHAT it is :P) and X&Y was amazingly cool, but i would say unexpected. X&Y is one of my favorite album covers ever, i think. this "leaked" one just isnt coldplay! i really cant wait to see what the real one DOES look like though!

^singles box set = amazing. though the "fix you" that came with mine was busted so i had to buy a new one from the virgin megastore. have you got a record player though? otherwise i would say its not worth the $100 (or however much it is in austrailian currency...) yeah, so a leak would totally not mean me putting any less money into coldplay/EMI, but i think it really could hurt them in terms of everyone else so once i ignore my selfishness i dont want it to happen. beautiful cover, though, whoever made it.

now THAT would be much harder to fake! and i would have died right then and there in my chair. ohhh my god. i dont want it to ever be leaked for their sake, but for mine...i kind of do because i know im still definitely going to go out and buy the CD and the vinyl records and all the singles regardless.

and besides, in prospekts last journal entry, it sounded to me as though they didnt even have the artwork finalized yet. he said "one minute we're over the moon about a new artwork idea..." which means to me that theyre still choosing between several ideas and probably have hardly gotten the art back to view yet and make a final decision. sorry to be harping on this, but im really trying to convince myself not to fall into believing any absurd rumors when theres no confirmed fact. and this has hoax written all over it to me, besides my heart stopping when i saw the thread title.
