TOTALLY ordering one once i start working again this summer. itll look great in my new dorm room!

yeah a release-date range would be nice, but i think itll be a bit misleading because they always seem to take a bit longer than they previously thought. if my information is correct, X&Y's release was delayed for two months, and i think AROBTTH was too. but something like "winter 2008" would be nice. and i really REALLY want the new site to be themed around the new album art!

I watched the UK trouble vid three times on youtube today. its a bit screwy because the song doenst match up with the video at all and chriss mouth is always a few lines behind the music, but im ridiculously obsessed with that video. and shiver has usurped yellow as my most-listened-to song. ive listened to shiver 242 times, yellow 238 times, and warning sign 227 times in itunes/on my ipod. thats not counting on CD or vinyl, either! actually, my top 13 most listened-to songs are all coldplay, and the 14th is "marching bands of manhattan" by death cab for cutie, and then the next tier of numbers are mixed coldplay and beatles.

Every day I wake up and think that today could be the day the new site is up and news is revealed about the next album, and every day chris's note is still up. Blah. I'm so tired of waiting! i just really hope that the site has info about the next album. Even if it is only the title and the artwork or whatever, that's fine, but just something. I think i'll be semi-angry if its just a new X&Y themed site.

ive been on wikipedia all day and i found out a lot of stuff about coldplay that i didnt know: -on the album version of fix you, only will and chris sing, even though they all sing live. [this makes me sad; i loved thinking that they all sang] -the scientist alludes to a short story by nathaniel hawthorne called "the birthmark" -chris apparently puts an apple on his piano sometimes when he plays "what if" live, maybe its written for apple -its possible, with high quality versions, to watch the talk video in 3D if yo have 3D glasses. -in a never-broadcasted version of "the hardest part" video, theres a cameo from chris's dad! today i figured out that the live version of "the world turned upside down" is NOT THE SAME AS THE B-SIDE (thank you wikipedia) and downloaded this alternate version. i dont know why i didnt figure this out before. i also saw the UK trouble video of the first time ever on youtube and i LOVE IT. the sound didnt match with the video in that copy, though, so it was off, but that may be my second fave coldplay vid EVER. its tragically hilarious that jonny and will are abusing guy. im searching high and low for a downloadable copy to put on my ipod. oh god, i LOVE it. i learned a hell of a lot about my favorite band today. i love wikipedia. i also laughed out loud to the talk video. i was in hysterics for some reason. it totally killed me.

i heard SUCH a rip-off of "clocks" on a chrysler seabring commercial. i thought it WAS clocks, but then was like "coldplay would never do that" and i heard that they changed like, one note. jeez. :\ there is a song on a citibank commercial, though, that sounds pretty coldplayish. i actually really like the song, which got me thinking: I think it would be kinda cool for an artist to put a song on a TV show or commercial or movie without telling the public theyre going to do it and have everyone recognize the voice or something. i know if coldplay did that, i would DIE of a heart attack when i heard the song.

i think she's right in trying to hide from the cameras, but this could be potentially dangerous! if she really wanted to hide, i think chris should have carried apple and she could have carried her purse (which chris had). dont think shes turning into jacko, though. i think she was just fed up because she was just doing a normal-person thing of picking up her daughter from daycare and there were paparazzi.

i love that chris is carrying what seems to be gwyneth's purse the entire time. tee hee. and for some reason, i find it insanely cute that apple has a blankie.

oh, that cracks me up. im hysterical. though i dont know what that line is coming out of his hair. and i dont think his mole-thing is noticable enough to really be in there. oh god. i cant WAIT. though i hope the other guys are on, too. that would be AMAZING.

i LOVE the little kids shirt that says "my mum likes coldplay too" on the back. i kind of want to get one now for my kids to wear in 10 years when i HAVE kids. or i could get one in a big size, because my mom likes coldplay too! shes the one that got me into them, actually. how i wish the ipod case could be used for video ipods... um, the autographed poster is only $40? is it really their signatures? because ill SOOOO get it if its only $40.

apparently he disclosed that to a reporter who was tape-recording the interview, and then chris looked horrified and was screaming "no, dont use that, please, no" and tried to rewind the tape over it, but jonny was cracking up in the background and told the reporter to keep it. this makes me laugh.

ive never seen them when i wasnt expecting to, no, but my mom has. its just sad that now the possibility of hever seeing them unexpectedly has gone way down because they no longer live there. i was in NYC last night thinking "oh, if they only still lived here, they might be walking three streets away from me or something..."

^i think thats the point of the scientist, saying that nobody said relationships and love were easy, but no one ever told him that it would be as hard as it ended up being, either. i cant think of very many specific examples besides whats already here, but i can think of thematic contradictions, like see you soon vs. everythings not lost, and how much the desired simplicity of "we never change" contrasts with the built-up, modern, technical theme of all of X&Y.
