what scar? that red cut thing on the bottom pic? thats the pic thats normal, not mirror, so it should be on the correct side. i dont see a scar in the top pic! :confused: where did he get this scar?

personally, i think you should ask him, annie. it could mean the difference between a lasting relationship and a 2-week-long fling. :P just kidding, of course. though it is an important question...

in some ways i wouldnt be surprised if chris could play guitar with both hands, considering he is left-handed, at least in writing, but i think with those two pictures, the top one is a mirror-image and is flipped using a computer program, because ive never seen him play with the left hand before. most people dont just switch all the time. even if he was ambidextrous, he'd probably still normally only use one hand to play it, and given his previous habits, it would be his right. the only reason i say this is because im ambidextrous, and even though i can switch off pretty well, i habitually use the same hand every time i do something: write with right, eat with left, play guitar with left, play sports with left, arm wrestle with right, etc. god i'm talkative. to make up for it, here's one of my favorite photos of chris that's undoubtedly been posted before: i dont know why i cant get it bigger, though!!

^HAHAHA!! i think i do this too, though on a more subconscious level. though i often wonder if my roommate in college next year will like coldplay and my type of music. that worries me. i went out with one of my friends this weekend to catch up. we're all on senior independent study for 5 weeks, where all the seniors take up internships or projects (im writing a screenplay at home). ANYWAY, this particular friend is working at my other friend's grandma's restaurant in new york city as a chef. its a pretty high-class restaurant and famous people eat there all the time (bono, natalie portman, politicians, etc). i told her that if chris martin walks in to eat, she needs to CALL ME ASAP and ill be on the next train. she said ok, but then a minute later she was like "but i hardly even know who he is!" i gave her the nutshell version of the coldplay education. it was pretty funny. maybe you had to be there. sorry. also, when she was driving me home, a song came up on her ipod called "green." i was thinking in my head how strange it was to write a song named after a color when i smacked my head for being an idiot: "yellow", perhaps my favorite song EVER, is named after a color. i really can be an idiot. sorry im so boring.

this isnt on the website, its something that i have on my computer saved from probably this site. but chris's note with the four little eyes reminded me of this drawing of his where you can actually tell which guy is which, and i think it's really cute. for some reason nothing will let me post the bigger versioon i have, but here's it in its entirety, though really small. sorry! :wacky:

this makes me want a shrine very badly, but mine would be mostly computer print-outs. i dont have much of anything of worth to put in it besides my tickets, my 2 shirts, my records and CDs, mug, and various printed-out photos. sigh sigh sigh. jealousy. (congrats by the way!!!!!!!!!)

maybe with a new site comes a new coldplayer? i could never get that damn thing to work...i hope theyre working on it. cant wait to see it when its done, though im not getting my hopes up for anything new. ive been disappointed too many times before. besides, i rarely go there...this is my homebase for everything coldplay. however, if they fix the coldplayer, that may change...

lovely!! but jonny really needs to shave his moustache, IMO. he looks quite horrible with it, and i never thought i could say that about our lovely jonnyboy.

today i realized that my coldplay coffee/cappuchino mug that came with the box set does NOT hold very much coffee. I spilled starbucks all over my floor trying to carry it to my computer and made a real mess because its so shallow. ah well. it still says COLDPLAY on it!! i wish id gotten the bag as well, but i was broke. grr.

i got my boxset two thursdays ago...i havent been on in forever! but i luuuuuurve it and im so glad i bought it. it took be a bit of a long time to figure out that some discs/sides need to be played at 33 RPM rather than the usual 45 RPM, though, which made me laugh. and i wish the set had included "sleeping sun" "proof" and "no more keeping my feet on the ground". those are some of my favorites. friday was my last day of high school, and now im on an independent project of writing a screenplay. but i wont see my friends for a month until graduation and the week where we all come back to tell about our projects, and friday was a really tragic day for all of us. ANYWAY, my point is that "brothers and sisters" is such a perfect song for our lives this past week. it fit so well it was scary. ive gone to the same school since kindergarten and ive known most of the kids there for that long, so they really are my brothers and sisters. there's a random coldplay thought for you.

my box set should be here this week!!!! im doing research for school about presidential (US) assassinations, and i typed in "zero theory" into the search box of wikipedia, because thats the name of a theory about presidential assasinations, and i got automatically redirected to the wiki page on the X&Y album because one of the possible names for it was zero theory. i found this funny.

sooo...watching the tudors again, and this is the guy im talking about: his name is kristen holden-ried, and i think he looks EXACTLY like chris. apparently he's very gay, though, so no hope for us girls.

my friend just got her brand-new laptop for college and i was poking around on it and started playing music through her new itunes. of course i picked coldplay. her new computer was christened with coldplay music. and then a bunch of people started singing along to "shiver" in the student center, which was nice. on thursday one of my friends (who i used to have a huge crush on) said he was going to play a coldplay song at the amnesty international coffeehouse on friday night. i gasped and got way too excited, but then i calmed down and asked which song, and he said he didnt know yet. so last night at the coffeehouse i was waiting like crazy to hear him play one...and he didnt. but he did play a wonderful version of the postal service/iron & wine's "such great heights" and yesterday we were taking a history test in class and i looked up while taking it at my friend. he was hunched over his test, but underneath his button-down dress code shirt, he was wearing his coldplay tshirt, and all i could see of it was chris's face peeking out over the collar of his nice shirt. it made me laugh.

i love how jonny and guy are being all buddy buddy and laughing in the back WONDERFUL photo. the lighting is great.

i personally like them much better on album. thats how i am with almost every artist. i just think that the songs are how theyre meant to sound on the album down to the last note and sound, whereas on live versions there are differences that arent necessarily desireable. i dont think theyre bad or anything, but i just much rather listen to the albums. better sound quality, anyway.
