The Strokes
I...can't say I agree with that, but I also make some music/band comparisons that no one else gets :P

The Strokes
I thought Coachella was decent, but that they've been better this year. Also, that was the most violent, unruly, horrible crowd I've ever been in. I'm not really a big Muse person--I don't dislike them, but they're just kind of not for me.

The Strokes
I was there, and Games was the one song I video recorded while there! The crowd was too rough to do much else, and I got pushed pretty far back. UGH, I'm more sad than I should be about their tour being over. I think it's because I don't wholly trust them to get back in the studio soon and pump out another album in good time.

[17-Nov-2011] Coldplay et. al @ Children In Need concert, MEN Arena, Manchester, UK (Live on BBC1)
Phil's got some moves  They look like a bunch of teenagers in the school hallway :P

The Strokes
iTunes has most of the singles, but they're not really that big on B-sides. The B-sides that they do have are in that upload folder I linked you to in MM :D Unless you mean in hardcopy, like on CD or 7", and there the best place is eBay. And yes, I scour eBay and the like for the PFTY box set, but nothing yet

The Strokes
And acoustic versions of I think all of the album songs played by Julian on a DVD I still don't forgive myself for not buying that box set while it was available

The Strokes
Have you ever heard the alternate version of "You Only Live Once"? It's one of the songs in the rareities folder I uploaded in MM :nice:

[6-Dec-2011] Radio 2 Gig: Coldplay @ Dingwalls, London, UK (15-Dec-11 Broadcast Date) tickets availa
I didn't though! I didn't drink almost any water BECAUSE they were making us share it! I had one sip when it was a fresh, new bottle and then nothing after that because I saw how they were making everyone drink straight out of it  PS: at The Strokes' Dingwalls gig (which is the only even indirect experience of Dingwalls that I have), apparently collective sweat from the band and the audience was condensing on the ceiling and dripping down on everyone like rain. I'd do it for Coldplay (and The Strokes) though! Just a warning to those who end up going :P

I joke that Chris is the one that got me/all of us sick because it's fun, but I actually believe that he did, when you think about it :P. Also because he got sick right after as well...

Gwyneth...
I'm not a fan of one-sleeved things usually, but otherwise that's a killer dress! It just needs to make up its mind about what season it's for :P

The Strokes
:bigcry: The best thing ever.

Sigh, after last year's Christmas show I now feel like I need a Coldplay Christmas gig every year, that one was so great  But Dingwalls is supposed to be abnormally hot and stuffy...actually when I met Will, I talked with him a bit about The Strokes' gig there in 2010 that all of Coldplay were in the audience for, and he said that was the hottest he'd ever been in his life. I hope they bring industrial-strength air conditioners so Chris doesn't flood the place :sweatdrop: :uhoh:

Coldplay's Twitter
#CHRISMARTIN4TWITTER Seriously, though, he needs to get one of his own, I'd love for my feed to be blown up with self-doubt and chocolate cravings :wacky:

Gwyneth...
See You Soon?!  Only my favorite Coldplay song of all time :bigcry:

Favorite Coldplay look/theme Part Deux
I agree to an extent, really. Chris said recently that he felt like if they dressed in normal street clothes, no one would come see them and would think they weren't trying hard enough. I think he's conveniently forgetting the first half of their career where they were successful, and about half of the successful bands out there today. But I like the MX clothes because they're at least just modified CLOTHES, whereas the Viva clothes really just looked like whole elaborate costumes to me.

Sigur Rós
I can't WAIT for this soundtrack. I have yet to hear/see Inni because I currently have no money, though

[12-Nov-2011: Coldplay @ Saturday Night Live with host Emma Stone [CONFIRMED]
Thank you Christa  I wish they were big enough to use as desktops, but I did do a full-screen cap of my favorite of the three to use (it's a bit pixelly though)

Favorite Coldplay look/theme Part Deux
Parachutes/AROBTTH for me, when they just wore their normal clothes. They had some great t-shirts going on in those days. I was just...never into the Viva thing at all. It's too put-on for me, I guess, and even during the X&Y era, I was like "do they really have to wear all black? Can't they just wear whatever?" I like that the MX era isn't so "costumey" as the VLV era was to me, but I still am not so into the matchy-matchy and how everything they do in any official capacity requires them to dress in certain clothes

New merchandising
I like the A Hopeful Transmission one, I just wish it came in girls' sizes because those are always a bit more flattering to me. I think they'll come out with more, though :D

What is the most underrated Coldplay song to date?
Y E S This is my favorite song Coldplay have ever done :bigcry:

Coldplay to Perform at Museum Gala (Nov. 10 - NYC)
They're all celebrities and similar, they have no reason to bootleg things. Sounds like a room filled with people I love though. Sigh.

The Strokes
Is This It from Oxegen 2006 is a killer :bigcry: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seQG4ELi67c&feature=fvst]The Strokes- is this it (subs español y ingles) - YouTube[/ame] I was there this year for their set at Oxegen and almost died in the process, but the 2006 footage is totally killer.

For SiriusXM Subscribers - Win a "Town Hall" meeting with Coldplay
OMG, "Exploding Pigeons," I'd love to know how they came up with that one! My other favorite band, or one of the members, now has a fragrance, so if Coldplay ever do that as well I might have to jump off a cliff :uhoh: :P

What Coldplay Songs Have You Seen/Heard Live?
If they didn't have so many songs, I would make some sort of poll thing to go with this thread where everyone could check off the songs they'd seen live to get stats, but it wouldn't work for MULTIPLE times for each song, and it would also take about 5 pages just to list all the songs

The Snow Patrol Thread
All of these positive reviews are making me think I can't wait...hmmm  Amazon.co.uk says it won't be here til the 21-25th! :bigcry:
