FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
What airport? Stanstead/Heathrow/Gatwick/London City/Luton? In the end it doesn't really matter that much, I think you should be good, I've gotten into the city from Heathrow and Stanstead and Gatwick in good time before :D. Also, the press still knows nuthin' which for some reason makes me laugh. If something really amazing is the surprise, like new material or something, this thing is going to be all over the music news :D

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
I'm just anxious to know what night it'll be now, because that determines my hotel and train bookings :bomb:. No worries, though, just EXCITEMENT! Part of me is like "screw Friday at uni either way," but even if the cruise is Thursday and I decide to play hooky all day on Friday rather than getting a dawn train back to Norwich, I still need to know which night I'm sleeping in London and what train times to book... And I think I just figured out what to wear...which means I have to go shopping and further procrastinate work :freak: . I can't believe that was one of the first things on my mind.

I sang it to myself today at uni while trying to focus on genetically modified potatoes rather than dreaming about Coldplay Cruises :P My mom has stated that she is epically jealous. But it being Thanksgiving and all, and the fact that flight prices are THROUGH THE ROOF makes that impossible :( I've asked Semy, Zemy101 to be my +1, but I only just got in the door again and haven't heard back from him yet. ANNA  I hope this time we'll have more chance to talk! Wembley was such a whirlwind. GUYS, I CAN'T WAIT. Even if there were no Phil/Miller/Matt and no *special surprises,* this would be epic just for the fact that there will be 100 of us together in one place again to hang out with each other. My only wish is that somehow everyone around the world could come too.

CONGRATS TO ALL WINNERS SO FAR! I have my coat on, I'm leaving the house, I'm worried :bigcry: And is it just me or did we skip over winners group 2?

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
I'm hoping the winners are either announced alphabetically or in the order the applications were received because I have to leave the house soon... I would like pay someone to text me the results if I have to leave before all the names are out. I'm pathetic

Gwyneth...
Glee is totally not my thing...I just find it poorly written and ridiculously over the top, but Gwyneth was so ace :D. She was so cute and goofy and beautiful, and her SINGING! That girl has a voice, and I'm really picky about female voices. She looked like she was having so much fun .

Doesn't seem as though any news outlets have picked this up yet...I was actually curious to see if they would have, but my 1AM Coldplay Google Alert had nothing on it. I mean, the tabloids report when Chris walks his kids to school or Gwyneth blows her nose, so you think they'd be all over this if they knew :P. I like knowing more than the tabloids :wacky:.

I've been on a similar Thames cruise before, and they have the ability to make multiple stops to let people off and on. Just sayin'. I'm not sold one way or another on the band being there, and as much as I'd LOVE it, I don't really care in the end, because that's not why I applied. I just think they've been known to surprise us, as has been said above, this was probably their idea (or someone very high up, like Phil or Debs), the timing and location fits as far as we know, and the uncertain scheduling is fishy.

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
Yeah, I'm trying not to jinx it or get anyone's hopes up, because honestly I'd just love to speak to the three men that are confirmed to be there, but...I feel like if Coldplay HQ is going to throw a party for 100 of their most diehard fans in London at a time that the boys are almost definitely also in London...it would be almost surprising if they/some of them didn't at least make a cameo appearance. And the whole "we're not yet sure of the date" thing...makes me think they have to juggle schedules...and Thursday is Thanksgiving and Chris's wife is American...which could make scheduling unclear.... Yeah, I didn't just say any of that :escaping: I wonder if it could act as a listening party for a couple of songs they have finished? Because aren't they doing the AMAs on Sunday? They might premiere something there and play it for the party...

My mom's hypothesis on what one of the surprises might be is that they could use us as extras in a music video shoot on the boat . I can't say I think that's what's going to happen, but it's a cute idea. I don't want to jinx my suspicions on what the surprises might be, but even if there weren't any surprises, I would be thrilled just to talk to Phil/Miller/Matt :wacky:.

"HEY, PHIL [mouthbreathes with :wideeyed: face] UM, CAN YOU GIVE ME A JOB? I'M KOOL. FANKS." Depending on how the evening goes, I could just drop out of uni all together if they offer me a position on their team :P. Nah, if I prepare for the eventuality of meeting them, I think I'd be pretty collected and ask constructive questions of them. On this same note, though, my mom actually asked me if I would act like I did when I met Obama if I meet Phil/Miller/Matt. And when I met Obama, I literally stuttered out "kfghjfhgjdfhgj h-hello, SIR :freak:" and made a general fool of myself. I told her this is different and explained about preparation and the influence of the element of surprise.

SCREW NOTES :P But thanks anyway, Mommy Christa  I got in big trouble once in high school for skipping school to go see Coldplay; I almost lost my prefectship, but even if I had lost it, it would have been worth it, so missing one measly uni seminar and screening isn't even a question in my mind if I'm lucky! :P

FESTIVE (OFFICIAL) BOAT TRIP IN LONDON @ 5PM ON 25 NOV, 2010
I've got uni on Friday, meaning I'd have to skip it if the cruise is either night if I won, but Coldplay and sickness have historically been the only two reasons I have ever skipped either school or uni in the past . I'm one of those brownnosers that never cuts class, but Coldplay is 110% worth it! (And so is the last-minute train fare from East Anglia...and I haven't renewed my railcard...haha). But things like this are the reasons why I worked this summer and saved it all :P I called my mom in America to gush about this chance and she was like "oh screw us, spending Thanksgiving on a Coldplay cruise is SO much better than you being here!"

At risk of counting my chickens before they hatch or becoming optimistic about something for once in my life, I just raided my closet for this very reason. I am hopeless. Warm, yet decent, comfortable but not frumpy...and I don't want to wear any Coldplay-swag...hmmm.

I was actually getting really bummed that my Thanksgiving looked like it could be me eating Indian takeaway in front of my computer...but I think hanging with Phil and Miller and Matt would TOTALLY make me feel less blue about the whole thing, even if it's on Friday rather than Thursday! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! What amazing people Coldplay are for doing this for us :bigcry:. I can't even get over how much I love them.

Ian, it says that we'll probably know which night the cruise will be early next week, right? I'd just like to know by like Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest when to book my train tickets from Norwich for, and what night I'd need to book a place to stay if I win a pass. I want to talk to Phil and Miller and Matt about the music industry so badly! :bomb: I want to know if they have any advice for someone trying to get into music management and tour management like me. My hands can't stop shaking. This could be the best Thanksgiving of my life, and I won't even be in America!
