  1. . maybe if i badger them a few more times with other things :P.
  2.! oh christa, really :P. i'm just saying what i know, and what i know are concerts in medium to big venues (though i've got NOTHING on angie, who is the ultimate veteran). and besides, all i want to do is work for coldplay anyway :wacky:. and write novels :P. yes, this place has a roof :D. there were yellow balloons when i saw them there in 2005, so no worries! and i anticipate butterflies everywhere too :flutterby:.
  3. oh, and just another word of caution: in sections 100, 300, 400 and 800, avoid being on the sides (close to the walls) unless you're very close to the stage. when i saw coldplay there, i was in section 100, row Z (so a few rows farther back than i originally put the yellow circle on my chart...whoops), and your view can be severely compromised...i don't think i saw guy the whole night, even though i was decently close to the stage. type in section 100, row Z in the 3D seating guide and i think you'll see what i mean. so: in sections 100 and 400, avoid being in LARGE seat numbers (i.e. 139), and in sections 300 and 800, avoid being in SMALL seat numbers (i.e. 1). i think i have that right, anyway :P i hope i'm being helpful and not know-it-all-y :uhoh: :P
  4. i've never done a coldplay presale before, or a presale where i don't have a distinct advantage. my mom is a member of the offical pearl jam fanclub, so when we do presales for concerts for them, we have a huge advantage which usually translates into much better seats (THIS IS WHY COLDPLAY NEEDS AN OFFICIAL FAN CLUB . my mom always tells me to drop out of school and start one up . she's only half kidding :P). but with the MA presale that went on a few weeks ago through the same website, it seemed as though people were getting pretty good seats! i'm optimistic, i think, but i'm a noob to this kind of ticket buying (though if it was ticketmaster, i'd write a big tutorial for everyone on how to get the best seats :P).
  5. http://www.livenation.com/venue/meadows-music-theater-tickets# there is a 3D seat diagram there...type in any seat and it shows you the view. very useful once we get tix! and this is what i say: :P
  6. well thanks. i have more where that came from, especially regarding parking and all that for this venue...DON'T PARK IN THE MASSIVE VENUE PARKING LOT. it'll take you hours to get out of it. most of the local businesses around open up their smaller parking lots on concert dates, and though it can be a 5-10 minute walk to the venue, you will save an hour at LEAST in the post-concert traffic in the parking lot. i'd also say wear closed-toed shoes for the walk, since it can be dusty and broken bottle filled :P. (this is all info that i've learned from my mom, who is the ultimate authority on concerts, though i've experienced all this myself and i know she's right!) anyway, as far as seats go, most seats in the place (besides lawn seats) are fairly good ones, since it's so small. i saw pearl jam from near the back of the venue this past summer (though in real seats, not the lawn) and the view, while not as close as i'd have liked, was still miles better than sitting in a non-floor seat in an arena. so, if you're forced to get something in the middle or the back of the seated part of the venue, don't dispair too too much, since it's probably going to be better than an arena no matter where you sit :D
  7. aww, am i in the tri-state crew? :wacky: (even though i spend most of my time these days in stinky central PA and i'm becoming an expat?) hmm, well ideally, get close to the stage in the center :P. but no, the first time i was there seeing coldplay, i was relatively close to the stage but on the side (as far to the right as you could get ) and it wasn't so bad. the sound was sliiiightly wonky and the floor was pretty much flat like it would be in a stadium, but that doesn't mean that you should reject any side seats you get if they're close to the stage! for me, close to the stage is my #1 priority, and i think most of you would agree :D.
  8. ^that is most definitely brown in the picture, but the picture may differ from the actual vest... i needed a pair of new rainboots/wellies because mine were getting a bit small, but i told myself i'd buy a pair when i get to england because a) it rains there all the time, b) i figure their wellies must be the best because it rains all the time :P, and c) it will be one less big thing i have to fit into my luggage and carry around. buuuut, i was in j. crew () and fell in love with a really cute pair of wellies... they have elephants on them :wacky:. and they were 50% off! unfortunately, i have really fat legs, so i can't really fit my jeans under them too well, but they fit perfectly if i roll up my jeans or just put them over, so i'm keeping them . i'll just have one more thing to lug across the atlantic ocean, then... even though i have no money, i think i'm going to get a few spring skirts tomorrow in my last trip to the mall before i go home. i don't have many skirts that fit me anymore.
  9. i have a pretty much identical coat :wacky:. it's my favorite :P she looks BEAUTIFUL, though she could use some meat on her face. i definitely wish she would gain some weight, but i don't know, while she's definitely skinny, to me it doesn't look like a major personal health issue unless she gets any skinnier. compared to kiera knightly and lindsay lohan and others, gwyneth is a picture of health. i'm not saying that means she shouldn't gain weight, because she certainly could use it and has proven she threatens her health with those horrible detoxes, but as long as she doesn't go there again soon (OR RECOMMENDS THEM TO US ) i'm not that worried yet.
  10. the place is not too too big, i've seen lots of concerts there (including my first coldplay concert ever :wacky:. oh, memories...). it's one of those "shed" vnues where the stage and all the seats are under a pavillion open to the air and the lawn seats are uncovered at the back. obviously we'll all want to get close, so i don't think i need to say DON'T GET LAWN SEATS. ooh, i found this wow, only 7500 under the pavillion...i guess they can fit a LOT more people on the strip of lawn than i thought :stunned: but it's generally a nice venue if you get decent seats in the center (on the sides the sound can be a bit funny, but it's not the worst thing in the world), and i'm SO pumped they're coming back to CT when i can go! (last summer, i was in england when they were here, ironically standing in front of the bakery itself while they were in my 'hood, and now they're coming just a few months before i leave for england again! it might be my last american coldplay show for a good number of years :P) anyway, rant over :P
  11. as happy as i am about the tour dates, since there is one in my area and i plan to go, i honestly feel guilty for getting, in essence, a FOURTH leg of the tour (if you're counting the august leg and this leg separately). south america severely needs some coldplay love, and they need to go there so, so badly .

  13. ^that's pretty much my favorite book ever written :bigcry:. along with the namesake (jhumpa lahiri) and saturday (ian mcewan). currently reading ender in exile (orson scott card...the enderverse is my guilty pleasure :wacky:) and am about to start Q&A (vikas swarup--the book slumdog millionaire was based on) and the reader (bernhard schlink)
  14. ooh, a FILM goop! :wideeyed: but yes, i want another faaaashion one soon.
  15. any more desiiiiiigns? not that i don't love the ones that we have (even more now that i know they HAVE to be yellow :P), but i say the more the merrier :D
  16. ^i was worried about that too...but my mom was like "fiiiinne, we'll all go," so it's a family affair :P. i've turned my brother into a huge coldplay fan, and though he saw them at the today show with me, i think he needs to see a full-length coldplay show too :wacky:.
  17. oh riiiight, i guess i never put the face to the name. thanks :D
  18. i know, i noticed that too :disappointed:. i swear that's a cigarette and i thought he quit... but other than that will is looking GREAT :wideeyed:. i love him with hair :wacky:. guy's hair on the other hand.... tooooo short. and chris...a TOTE bag? :inquisitive: is the big guy next to chris a bodyguard? i've seen him in a lot of pictures this year, and i thought they still refused to have bodyguards
  19. well there are the pap pics you were looking for, mich
  20. i'll be there toooooooooo! i was thinking that i'd be too short on money to go and i decided not to see them in MA in august for that reason, but screw it, it's COLDPLAY reaaaallly close to me in my home state. me and my mom will be there! :D i just might have to miss class to buy tickets...
  21. ^i love this one too! :cheesy:. i love that it actually has wembley on it :wacky: haha, and i'm resigned to yellow too, i'm just not as thrilled about it as everyone else :P. i'd wear a potato sack if that's what everyone agreed on :D
  22. hi again :D. as far as i can tell, these are the main options we have so far am i missing any major ones? i just want to try to keep track of what we have so i'm better organized when it's time to make a poll in april. so far, i count 5 major poll options (which i LOVE!), and i'm hoping we'll get more in :D. (and perhaps some that aren't yellow :uhoh:. sorry guys, i'm still of the opinion that yellow isn't a necessity :P) i asked ian, and he says he'll advertise that we're looking for more designs by the end of the month. i wish i was more creative so that i could make one :disappointed:. so far, #3 is my favorite :wacky:. i like the "WEMBLEY" big because it's awesome how the letters are so perfect to what's on the album covers
  23. AWW, i love will :wacky: however, the AL tour date makes me worried that they're just going to explode from overwork this year. they'll have been touring for pretty much TWO ENTIRE YEARS when this year is over--insanity :freak:. it also makes me worried that they might put in an NY or CT tour date this summer, and then i'll have a huge dilemma about whether or not i can go again...deciding about the MA show was hard enough! :bigcry: :P

  25. so does this mean hands has less/no more influence? that guy gives me the heebie-jeebies. and i still hope coldplay leaves and goes independent, pulls a radiohead. some of their business practices could use some tweaking, if you ask me, and i think they'd be more able to tweak them if they weren't on a major label.
