aww, well i'm glad you figured it out for the most part. i figured it didn't apply to you anyway . i'm resisting the urge to go on threadless now, because i really shouldn't be spending money anymore, especially not on clothes.

hahahahaha, i can't believe i got you all addicted to threadless! i told my brother, and he is proud :P anyway, i'm not sure what an APO or AE box is . did you google it?

i LOVE lucky, but i don't own anything from them because it's so expensive that dress in the first picture...:freak:. I WANT IT :wideeyed:

 for shipping all over! i order the medium from there if it's an american apparel shirt...and i'm a pretty average-sized person in general (though i guess slightly on the small side). i always tend to order up with anything if i'm unsure, because soooo many things run tiny over here.

threadless? yeah, only online. anyone can submit a design, and they create the ones they like best and sell them online. you can win THOUSANDS of dollars if your design makes it. but yeah, it's an online-only, independent retailer, but they're great :nice:

i love tshirts :wacky:. i have more than i'll EVER need or consistently wear, though :disappointed:. do you guys know www.threadless.com? it's got AMAZING tshirts! i only own two from there, but my brother is addicted, and i want so many more.

i tend to think forever 21 is slightly overrated, but that's just because it doesn't really hit my personal style right-on. i'm more of a gap sort of person...i like simplicity and clean lines rather than big busy patterns and the most recent cuts. but forever 21 is great for the prices...just don't expect top-of-the-line quality.

i saw confessions of a shopaholic for fun on valentine's day. it was a bit too girly and formulaic for me, but it made me want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a clothing item, which for me, would mean going and buying a coach purse  ooh, and good tip about the coupons! thanks! :D. i hope they get a US site soon  i really like all the jacket colors, but i think the white i could get the most use out of, and i don't have a white springy jacket :D

on the dutch website (i love that i still know enough dutch to navigate it ), it comes in a bunch of colors...i'm really digging the white. did they have it in more than one color in the american stores, or was it just blue?

to me, there's a difference between looking messy and looking very casual. i like looking very casual and comfortable, but not messy. it's hard to explain, but there are only certain casual clothes i'd wear out of the house, i guess :P and agreed about wearing PJs to classes :D. however, i now wear sweatpants/work out clothes to classes three days a week because i have gym class three days a week (:dozey:), and it's too much of a hassle to carry a change of clothes and shoes with me all day (and since the gym is on the other side of campus, i don't have time to change before class, either). i have to say, three out of 5 days a week is a bit much :P and yeah, for everyday things, i'd rather be slightly underdressed than overdressed. being overdressed is almost considered...slutty, depending on the venue.

i've seen this jacket a couple times now, and i REALLY want it. do you think it would still be in stores in 2 weeks when i go home? there isn't an H&M around here where i'm at uni, and i hate how you can't order online from america :bigcry: haha, it's common to go out like that ALL THE TIME . part of it i think is just a style among teenagers mostly, and part of it is just because it's not that big a deal to go out to do a few errands, so it shouldn't be something you have to go get dressed up for. i like to be comfortable and i don't really care what i'm wearing if i'm just going to the bank and the post office for 20 minutes max. i tend to put on something slightly nicer if i'm going out to the mall or for any extended period of time, but i really don't see the big deal in wearing sweatpants/pajamas if you're just popping out for less than an hour. in holland, my house was literally right next door to the supermarket--it was less than a 15 second walk to the entrance of the store. one day we ran out of milk for breakfast or something, so i grabbed my wallet and walked down the street to buy milk. the entire trip took less than three minutes, but i can't TELL you the number of stares and weird looks i got because i was wearing navy sweatpants with the name of my school down the leg! i just thought it was pretty stupid to get dressed and made up for something that took less than 5 minutes. and college students? everyone wears sweatpants and pajamas like 24/7. this is something i'm going to have a hard time giving up next year

^i second that question, although all year round. however, i figure it's not THAT much different than what's acceptable in the US, and even if it was, i couldn't afford to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe anyway :P however, i have learned that in general, it's not really that acceptable to go out in sweatpants or pajama pants in europe like it is in the US. i learned that one the hard way

Will Coldplay's Tokyo show be aired in America?
this makes me SO angry . then again, i'm not surprised: the vast majorty of the people that frequently watch MTV in the US (i.e., teenyboppery teens who only listen to the top 40 and watch the mindless shows on that channel and think it's great television) would probably NOT be happy if their regular stupid programming was interrupted for something actually worthwhile. the MTV execs in the US probably realized their ratings would drop if they aired a whole coldplay concert, so they chose not to air it. someone NEEDS to record and rip this from another country and post it in MM, like with the toronto gig. i'll be so upset if i can never see this.

U2 a fire; Coldplay a warm blanket
i see some coldplay and U2 similarities, but mostly in the area of influence rather than specific songs sounding like U2 songs or whatever. i think they have the same genre of music and appeal to the same sorts of audiences, so the fact that there are one or two songs that sound somewhat similar (city of blinding lights, clocks, lovers in japan...that sort of thing) makes people get all excited and talk about how similar they are. i think coldplay are influenced by U2, but they have so many influences that they're able to mix them all together and come out with something entirely different. however, to me, lovers in japan is a homage to U2 in a lot of ways. and in my mind, VLVOD trumps no line on the horizon without question, no matter what the critics may say.
