  1. :stunned: holy SHIT. the man's a fool. if he had hurt himself... i hope will and kelly did yell at him . he has CHILDREN, for god's sake :P
  2. i know what you mean. but the only time i've ever been wholly unsuccessful (and believe me, i've done this a lot :P) was when i was trying to get paul mccartney tickets back in 2005. that's the only time i've never gotten ANYTHING, even crap seats, from ticketmaster, and i got some from ebay for that show on the same day anyway. i guess i'm just more nervous this time because it's NOT through ticketmaster, and because i have 20 minutes MAX to do the whole thing before running across campus spewing astronomical equations. :wreck: indeed.
  3. ooh, that's a good tip! the thing is, i have all my and my parents credit card numbers memorized :P. though it would save time to just copy and paste it rather than typing it all out! :D
  4. i have my fingers crossed for coldplay karma :bomb:. i'm such a nerd that i remembered march 19, 2008 was the day that the full title of the fourth album was given to us, so maaaaaybe that means good coldplay luck on march 19, 2009 too . agh, i'm so nervous, though. i have 15-20 minutes to do EVERYTHING...i'm worried i won't be able to complete the transaction before i leave my room :bigcry:
  5. i guess they were just prototypes, different styles to test out. the site has gone through a few different looks in the past year anyway, but these original ones were cool too! i just remember finding this thread and having my brain explode. and then it proceeded to explode for four more days! what an awesome week.
  6. the screencaps were found a year ago today. i just had to bump this :P. sorry if i scared everyone and made them think this was new. and it kicked off the most amazing coldplaying week ever! there was some bit of news that leaked out every day of the week...haha, i remember not getting ANY uni work done . ohh, memories...
  7. my school was so small that all grades were allowed to go to all proms, not just juniors and/or seniors and dates. i skipped it in my freshman year, but i went in my sophomore, junior, and senior years. my sophomore year, i wore a very typical blue satin gown with silver glitter. classic prom dress, really, but for most of the night i wore black converse chuck taylors with it :P. my junior year was THE BEST EVER...i wore a floor-length white linen peasant-looking dress from anthropologie that wasn't a prom dress at all, with a bronze cropped cardigan. for my senior prom, i always wanted to wear an indian sari because i've always been really interested in indian culture, but i don't know, even though i have a sari it didn't feel right to do, since i'm not indian. so i found a dress that was very funky, indian inspired, and i wore that. i LOVE the dress, but it wasn't made for me and the cut of it made me look a bit...plumpy. i could actually get pictures of all of those dresses...hmm. i'll work on it :P
  8. very true, i was just wondering how logical it would be for them to partition a big section right in the front for friends and family if there are going to be a lot of them...the only place i've ever seen that done (and been aware of it :P) is live 8 and big shows like that, and even then, i think they were slightly off to the side. and you're definitely right about most of them being normal people and not necessarily celebrities, but i think knowing our level of obsessiveness, people like us would be able to recognize some of their siblings or whatever and perhaps try to talk to them! anyway, no way of knowing, but for our sakes, i hope friends and family aren't smack in the front!
  9. ^eek, really? i've seen people do it loads of times, but i never watched to see what happened to them. i guess i won't be risking it, then :P
  10. haha, good point, i worded that wrong :P i want there to be an R42 post about chris's sprint into the audience at sydney...the airplane arms were so cute :wacky:
  11. haha, good point, i worded that wrong :P i want there to be an R42 post about chris's sprint into the audience at sydney...the airplane arms were so cute :wacky:
  12. i don't think balling them up tight would be a problem...but i wonder how big the gap will be. in the indoor arena tour, i was right up front, and while the gap was there, it wasn't huge, really. it was basically a gap for photographers, security, and movie cameras...no more than 5-7 feet deep. however, things may be totally different at this gig. i also wonder...do you think friends and family will be up front? i guess that's what makes sense, but was it that way with muse/other acts that have played there? i was under the impression that when it's GA, friends and family kept to the stage wings or other, more secure areas. even if they were in a partitioned section, i wouldn't want all the normal people talking to me and clawing at me :P
  13. i don't think the guys would ever wear the shirts on stage or anything like that, though i think it would be cute to throw one or two onstage at the gig. i wouldn't think they'd pick them up and put them on, but i think with soo many of us wearing them, especially up front, they might like a closer look at them :P and yessss, we need more designs in the tshirt thread by the end of the month!
  14. people are assholes. i can't believe that people could be that cruel to a (beautiful) little girl, but i can't waste time being angry about it, since those haters will always be there. but apple looks SO much like chris in those pictures :nice:. i actually can't wait to see what these kids look like when they're teenagers...i think they're going to be knockouts.
  15. exactly. what really makes me laugh is how they think gwyneth has been spotted in australia this week. if they just typed her name into google news, they'd realize that she couldn't be there :dozey:
  16. i know, and she's FILMING A MOVIE. it's not like she's moving there forever, she's going with a purpose, and chris is on tour. maybe that's why they're doing the two extra american legs of the tour! :P
  17. i was thinking about the ramps...i wonder if they'll have them. i bet they'll find a way, but it would just be really impractical to incorporate the ramps in the ampitheater tour . if i were them, i'd leave them out in the smaller venues. @christa: there isn't a parking garage, it's just a huge dirt lot (DON'T PARK THERE, I BEG OF YOU...park in a buisness's lot, you'll get out so much faster), and i've never done a stage door thing in my life, so i wouldn't be that helpful :P eeek, i'm worried about the presale on thursday, since i have pretty much 15 minutes to search for, find, and purchase the tickets before i run out the door to my astronomy exam.
  18. i never thought i'd condone animal cruelty, but i will most certainly kitty-spam their twitter :sneaky:

  20. haha, the whole thing made me squee because he was like a six year old :wacky:. the airplane arms were so cute :nice: and yes, i think both kelly and will need to gang up on him and tell him what a bad decision that was .
  21. people have had major success in australia, and all year, though i think it's a hit or miss sort of thing. sometimes they stop, sometimes they don't. i don't know how my mom is going to feel about spending an extra hour+ there though...i kinda wish i was going alone just for that :P. i want to have a stage door story just once, and i feel it's much more likely to happen at a smaller venue like CT rather than wembley. also, the presale starts at 10AM thursday. i have an astronomy exam at 10:30AM, thursday :dozey:. i'm a tad worried :\
  22. :sneaky: most definitely! i think he deserved what he got today, having to basically take refuge on the side of the arena, but it was still going well for him for like 15 seconds before everyone mobbed him . thank god nothing happened to him, though :P
  23. i want chris to do the crazy crowd jump at wembleyyyy :wideeyed: nah, he'd probably get raped and mauled if he tried that again :disappointed:. i think that's a one-off, and kelly probably beat the shit out of him afterwards, since it looked like he wasn't warned that chris was going to do that
  24. this is on the main page and all, but i think it fits in this thread... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZORJRMM1XM]YouTube - Coldplay - Fix You from sound relief 2009 Chris Martin crowd run[/ame] watch from about 2:40 on...chris is CRAZY for doing that! i would have chased him for all i'm worth :sneaky: and look at his bodyguard kelly leap off the stage to chase him!
  25. aww, that's so cute! i'll see you guys there! :D (...wiiiith my mom and brother in tow ) by the way, are any of you planning to do some stage-door stalking afterwards? i've never done it before, so i have no idea what i'm doing, but if you guys were going to and if i could go with you, i'd have to warn my mom NOW that i want to hang around for an extra hour or so, and i don't think she'll really be too happy about it anyway :dozey:. are there any plans in place for that so far?
