Britney Spears
Agreed. I feel horrible for her. I want her to get better because I can't imagine how unfathomably scary it is. I used to rip on Pete Wentz like this until I found out about his suicide attempt. They're people too... leave them alone. :/ Fame. It's stressful. The same thing happened to Tom from Keane. He got addicted to drugs and alcohol because the fame caught up with him.

NYC bans the use of a racial slur
I think it's because they're not as prominent in every day life. And despite everything, this isn't going to solve the problem at hand. And what's the punishment if it is used? I don't think you can imprison someone in this country for saying something offensive. :c

Oops, you're right, it is Hands Open. XD I wrote it down wrong in the heat of the moment at the concert and didn't change it when I typed it up. Hahahahaha. But yes, it was great. And she was VERY lucky. I was doing some work this morning during my free period, and Set the Fire... came on, and I physically couldn't work because I was too busy being all, "Argh so jealous" about it. Hahaha. Good luck with your exam!

~Jamiroquai~
Edited post: Apparently it's not true? From the blog on his MySpace: OK, so there is a story in today's Mirror implying Jay is quitting the music business: Needless to say they've got it completely wrong! You see, in a quick chat with one of the paper's journalists following his record breaking Gig in the Sky yesterday, Jay mentioned he was taking time out to update his home studio and take some time off before the band go back in to start writing a new album later in the year. He also talked about working on new arrangements of songs so next time they go out on tour they have fresh take on the tracks they play live perhaps incorporating strings or horns. Perhaps they should listen next time! When they gonna learn? On seeing the way his chat was reported today in the Mirror Jay said "As usual they got it wrong for a cheap headline! All I said was that we're taking a bit of time out to get the studio refurbished and we'll be back making music in a few months time. There's no way I'm quitting the music business - now I am out of my long contract with SonyBMG we have so many options open to us we're just going to take our time and get it right - its just getting interesting!"

Hi guys! I went to the Key's concert last night. Let me say now that Snow Patrol throws some of the most fun and exciting concerts EVER. OK Go was brilliant as well... I had no idea they were opening! Silversun Pickups were good too.. I didn't really hear too much of them because I got there late and then I had to run to get shirts so I would beat the lines that were steadily getting bigger. D: Here's the setlist: Spitting Games Wow Chocolate Beginning to Get to Me Headlights on Dark Roads How to Be Dead (I almost died!) Grazed Knees Chasing Cars Shut Your Eyes Set the Fire to the Third Bar Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking Make This Go On Forever (he dedicated it to Seattle!) Ways and Means Run You're All I Have ENCORE Finish Line Open Your Eyes Hands Open Tiny Little Fractures Some highlights: -Gary kept cracking gay jokes. Not like, horrible jokes, especially not in Seattle. Just being silly. He talked about how Damien of OK Go woke up with the flu and still sang, following, "I should know, he woke up in my bed!" and proceeded to talk about shagging him. Brownie points! -There was an audience member at the front who was smiling through the whole first few songs. Gary asked his name, and said, "Luke here has been smiling this whole time, it makes me happy and makes me smile. I'm not gay, but you could turn me!" -Set the Fire to the Third Bar... of course Martha Wainwright wasn't there. Gary chose an audience member (who had the same name as me! D: ) and she SANG with them! She was good, a little too quiet, but Gary kept hugging on her to loosen her up. By the end, she was totally comfortable, had the rockstar thing going on. It was a spectacular night. Along with Augustana, one of the best concerts I've seen! And I'm super happy I saw them in September too... if they came around again, I would pay any amount to see them. XD I'll post some pictures soon.

We have seats. Incidentally, I'm in the same section and row as the people who are taking me, who bought their tickets before me. Strange but lucky!! This will be my 2nd Snow Patrol concert. How exciting!!

I'm going to see them tomorrow night. I'm stoked! :D I hope it's as good as it was in September. The only qualm I have is that it's at the place with the worst acoustics that I know of. :c

I didn't mean he doesn't have the right to express his opinion, I'm just curious as to why he wanted to tell a thread full of fans about how unoriginal he thinks Snow Patrol are. o_o;

And you felt the need to broadcast this to a thread full of fans?

Hopefully! I'll make the best of it, in any case. I still managed to enjoy Coldplay and Death Cab there. I think the key (haha!) to having a good concert at the Key is to be energetic. Takes the crowd's mind off the terrible acoustics! And you can call me Siggy, if you want. :3333

I'm seeing them next Tuesday at the KeyArena and I'm kind of dreading how crappy the Key will make them sound. If the Key can ruin Death Cab's AND Coldplay's sound, it's hard to think Snow Patrol booked that venue. At the same time, though, I'm looking forward to an energized show... where I'll know more lyrics too. Hahaha!

Augustana
Surprisingly, I didn't find out about Augustana through Boston. I just bought their CD off iTunes on a whim. I'm so glad I did. <33333 If anyone wants any b-sides, I have a couple. :D

Augustana
My favorite song is Wasteland. And Heart-Shaped Gun. Bullets and Lonely People are also getting high up there. YOU KNOW WHAT. All their songs are my favorites. Ahahahaha!
