Best news in a while! Hoping for a spring release! Also, I'll be scrambling for tickets if any kind of SMALL VENUE TOUR goes down.

[CANCELLED - INFO IN FIRST POST] 27-July-2009: Jones Beach, Wantagh, NY, USA
No offense to the band or anyone, but it would have to be a heck of an illness to call a show off 2 months in advance. Hoping for the best, especially if anything is wrong with any of the boys.

[CANCELLED - INFO IN FIRST POST] 27-July-2009: Jones Beach, Wantagh, NY, USA
Livenation and Jones Beach have been bugging out lately. The Blink 182 (yes I like them) dates have been shuffled around a bunch of times over the course of the last couple of weeks. Hopefully this happens! What a beautiful place to see a concert.

Not sure where to put this but, some songs I'm working on!
Hopefully this is the appropriate forum for this: I've been working on some rough demos of some songs I wrote over the past semester at school. I cover a whole bunch of genres, but I was hoping you guys could give me some opinions before I begin to polish these up and (hopefully) record an EP for the summer. You can listen here: http://www.myspace.com/thebetteryears just some things to keep in mind: I put these together VERY quickly so the timing is off on a bunch of parts :( and I mess up a bunch. These are basically demos I recorded for myself just to use as a guideline when I polish them up, but I really want a few outside opinions before I carry on. Thanks for any feedback guys. Feel free to just message me as I've been a daily lurker here for 3 years and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon! :)

"LeftRightLeftRightLeft" Free Live Album Mailing Exchange Thread
I won't be able to attend another show, unless I go to APW where I doubt they'll have them. So, please add me to the list for those who need a copy :)

Viva La Vida Covered by Lady GaGa
Haha, oh I expected this believe me. I was just stating my opinion, and like somebody said before, I wouldn't be surprised if Chris found this cover intriguing.

Viva La Vida Covered by Lady GaGa
Honestly, you guys are being way too hard on her. I love the spin she puts on it, she just doesn't execute it well. I would love to hear somebody like Christina Aguilera sing this.

The hair thread!
I usually get haircuts every 3 weeks because my hair grows so fast! I can't afford to anymore, so I've got a Parachutes Chris head now.

U2 singer Bono apologises after foul-mouthed insult of Coldplay's Chris Martin
My thoughts exactly.

Your Ultimate Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends Alternate Track listing.
I've been around here for a long time, but I'm mostly just a lurker. That being said, forgive me if this has been discussed. I've been toying around with Viva La Vida, Prospekts March and a few of the B-sides that have surfaced, and have attempted at making an ultimate track listing for VLV. Here's what I've come up with, and I think you should give it a try. Feel free to post your own. (I realize that part of the beauty of VLV is the flow of the songs, but it's all in fun!) 1. Life in Technicolor ii 2. Cemeteries of London 3. Lost! 4. Rainy Day 5. Lovers In Japan/ Reign of Love 6. Glass of Water 7. 42 8. Postcards From Far Away 9. Viva La Vida 10. Violet Hill 11. The Goldrush 12. Yes/ Chinese Sleep Chant 13. Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground 14. Prospekts March 15. Strawberry Swing 16. Death And All His Friends UPDATE: Just listened to the whole thing through. It sounds pretty good!

Viva la vida rap remix (sorry if this was posted i've been away)

Help Me Open Live For Coldplay Please *bites fingers*
I was so skeptical coming into this thread, but after just one listen I'm shocked. Your voice has the potential to melt the hearts of millions. I wish you every bit of success, regardless of how this whole thing turns out.

23-Jun-08: New York - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I hate reviews. I really really do. I've said it numerous times and I'll say it again: Chris' voice was as good as I've ever heard it live The forgotten lyrics and the mess ups gave a casual living room feel to an arena show. The lighting and magic balls and confetti were amazing. I would have payed to see the exact same show again.

23-Jun-08: New York - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I can't believe some of the reviews coming out for this show. Calling the band anemic and clumsy, complaining about delays and forgotten lyrics. To be honest, I LOVE when that happens It lets you know these guys are humans, and makes you feel like you're just hanging with the guys of Coldplay. I thought the energy was through the roof. I had goosebumps at many points through the set, and Chris's voice sounded almost record quality for the first time in a long long while.
