  1. Hey! Sorry I haven’t been so active lately — life can really come at ya fast. I’ve been feeling nostalgic and was thinking about the “Christmas Lights” video shoot. I know a bunch of us were there on the boat. Anyone still here? Let’s catch up, over a decade later :)
  2. Just wanted to stop in and say how beautiful the new site is!
  3. icecoldplay replied to admnistramation's topic in U.F.O.
This is by far one of the most beautiful CP songs of all time.
  4. Great song, and it's probably one of my least favorite Coldplay songs.
  5. Ugh I took 4 or 5 pictures with my copy but they didn't go through. I have it, I swear!!

  7. I respect most professional journalists, and I'm well aware that Coldplay has always taken a beating from the press...but the majority -- if not all -- of the really negative reviews (I'm talking scores of 50% or below) were just awful. Everyone and their mother is trying to find which songs on the record sound like other tracks, and it's quite honestly pathetic.

I'm having trouble with "then that light, it's your eye". I think that's probably it, but I've seen a few different takes on it. "Then at last, it's your eye" (no) "then that light, hits your eye" (maybe?)
  9. Then that light, it's your eye I move, I swim, And found somewhere the streets are made of gold But it's fly, split the skies But that's all right, sometimes, somewhere I'm streaming to the holes Best part
  10. This part of U.F.O "Then that light, it's your eye I move, I swim, And found somewhere the streets are made of gold But it's fly, split the skies But that's all right, sometimes, somewhere I'm streaming to the holes"
  11. I don't. EMI is in shambles. They can't afford to piss off any artist, let alone one that has almost single-handedly kept them afloat over the last 5 years. Coldplay calls the shots.
  12. Well, yeah. I don't think any review without sound arguments is worth reading, which is why I think this one in particular is poor.
  13. I think what was meant by those sentences is that any well-argued score is fine, but a 5/10 supported by two paragraphs (with only ONE about the record itself) from a nationally published magazine/website is garbage.
  14. This review truly is shit. All three "best parts borrowed from other artists" are arguably the weakest parts of the record. I can take a bad review, but not a 2 paragraphed piece of garbage that stretched and skewed what the record really is to make a (bad) point.
  15. I don't know how you can assume Rihanna's cameo was so empty, or at the very least a "phone-in". She spent so much time in London last year it was ridiculous.
  16. I'm so nervous that I'm already overplaying this album. It's just always in my head and I keep wanting to go back!
  17. Amazing song, and a special treat for those who missed the old sound.
  18. No review from me yet, but I feel bad for those who can't find the "real instruments" in this record. They're there, and they fucking shine.
  19. I'm driving by your headquarters and peeping through the windows. I like what I see, but I'm not sure if I want to join yet.
  20. The fact that this leaked when it did leads me to believe it was from Japanese retail. These "promotional copies" should have been floating around long before.
  21. Well guys, this was a fun thread. Time to hibernate with the album.
  22. The production seems a little...tight. Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown were WAY better live, but I still enjoy the studio versions. The drums on Up In Flames Honestly, other than that...I'm very happy with this!
  23. It's very possible, but to me the timing of this screams Japanese retail copy.
